    Thanks for the comparison, it's 2024 and I'm still debating between these two. Anyway, please include lug to lug measurements, that info is almost ignored with reviews/comparison but it matters significantly to people with small wrist sizes like mine which is only 6" and largest I can wear is Seiko watches because lug to lug is 44-46.... thanks

    Thank you. I too am trying to decide between these two. This has been helpful.

    Thanks for the comparison. I really wanted a Mako II USA but can't buy one as I'm European, so the Kamasu is a great option to have. Hopefully they come out with a white dial version too some day.

    I would like to see a Kamasu version with in a 6-9-12 dial layout. Also would like to see a Kamasu version 2 with a ceramic Bezel and more dial colors like orange, yellow and white.

    Ironically enough, I already own the Mako and have been considering buying the Kamasu. [exact same colour ways]

    I agree the crown is a touch undersized, but with my skinny fingers I have no trouble operating it. I was hoping the bracelets would be interchangeable, but it seems they are not. My Mako II will be arriving shortly with the bracelet, but I ordered my Kamasu with the silicone strap, which is very supple but is also a cat hair magnet.

    Great video - thanks. Received my Mako 2 yesterday and think it looks a little “blingy”. If it’s same size /weight and movement as Kamasu, may pass on it and look for more subtle Citizen eco. I do like dial, hands and sapphire on Kamasu though

      @GFWatch  4 года назад

      Yup, Mako 2 has a similar case size as the Kamasu. They share the same movement.

    Great video! I will get the Mako2 or Ray2 instead of the Kamasu.

    Great review. I currently have a Orient Ray 1 and 2 both blue dial and have been eyeing the Kamasu green dial. I really wish they would taper the bracelet towards the clasp for a bit more comfort.

    • @GFWatch

      Thanks! Yes, I totally agree that the bracelet should have some taper.

    other kamasu videos describe the crown as having a wobble, is this a fact?, and a problem?

    • @GFWatch
      @GFWatch  5 лет назад +1

      The crown does wobble a little on mine but not terrible. My main issue is it's very hard to screw back the crown.

    Which one looks smaller ?
    I have a small wrist...

    • @GFWatch
      @GFWatch  5 лет назад +5

      These two have very similar dimensions. I think they would be pretty manageable for small wrists.
      For the visual appearance, I think the Mako 2 will look smaller due to the presence of a chapter ring. With the chapter ring, the dial is smaller giving an overall impression of a smaller watch.

    • @GFWatch
      @GFWatch  4 года назад

      Thanks! I'm not too sure if the bezels are the same but I know that the bezel inserts are not the same.

    Hi, i got Red Kamasu and i love it very much. But as i see you also mention the crown is hard to screw in, mine is the same. My question is, is it the same on Mako 2 or its easier/harder to screw in cuz i think to buy the same blue one i watch it from long time and for the price i find it the best looking/quallity watch.

    • @GFWatch

      They have similar crown sizes. I did a video comparing crown sizes of several watches. Search for "How Big is Your Crown? Watch Crown Size Comparison"

      Seems to me the crown is under slight spring tension, try pushing it toward the watch body while screwing.

    Is the Mako iii just another name for the Kamasu?. They seem to be identical to me & I see it for sale cheaper than the kamasu at 252$ usd on Orients site..
    Thanks for the video..

    • @GFWatch
      @GFWatch  5 лет назад +2

      Officially, there has never been a Mako III (yet to be, maybe). When the Kamasu and Kano were launched together, many thought that they were supposed to be successors to Mako II and Ray II. Hence the confusion on the names. Thanks to social media 😅

    Is crown wobbly or lose when unscrewed?

    • @GFWatch
      @GFWatch  5 лет назад

      I don't think the crown on my piece is wobbly. It does wiggle a little though but not really bad.

    • @joshuaprescott2930
      @joshuaprescott2930 5 лет назад

      it is not an issue when screwd down only when fully extended
      I would recommend taking off the watch to use the crown as using it on the rist moves it at an angle without you realising and could snap it or muck up the threads.
      o do not think the wobble is really an issue though.
