I have a 2019 model, and I think fuel consumption is lower on GTE mode. And it is charging the batter once you leave the accelerator, which is good in my view.
I have the gte 7.5 in Hybrid it should consume less? On high way and express ways. Or is on highway gte mode thesame consume als "hybrid"? In reality on highway you drive too fast for hybride, so it is the 1.4
Thanks for your videos. I am thinking about buying a GTE. Worried about the EV battery. Have you noticed any degradation in the range when the car gets older.?
Hey. I am wondering is there any setting where could you turn off charging in hybrid mode or in gte mode. I think it will be much more economical when is not chargin all the time .
Hey Martino. Thanks for the comment. If you drive in any driving mode, except GTE, with D Drive ON, the car is not charging while driving. Of course, unless you press the brake pedal.

Multumesc.
Hi sergent978. Thanks for the comment. I'll continue in English as some subscribers speak mostly English. On the highway, in hybrid mode and on that speed, you would expect to have between 6.5 - 7.5 L/100km. On your second question, I don't believe that the electric engine acts as being very important in this kind of situations. The Boost mode is where the car uses it's full power, but that only happens if the gas engine is on.

Hey Jonna. Thanks for the comment. It's difficult to say. If you drive with 50km/h the car will run on battery, but if you press the pedal harder, it will switch to the gas engine. Also, when going down on a hill it switches back to electric and up on a hill on the gas engine. So it depends a lot on the road and your driving style.
Because small engines suffers on high speeds.. bigger engines design to be more efficient on a long run. My Audi A8 with 290bhp and 3.0tdi engine used to get driving 130km/h 6.4L/100km diesel.. so same compared to 1.4L GTE, but A8 is way heavier and always drives 4 wheels..
