You guys are the cutest! These companies that charge the same amount for a meal without the protein and want to up charge for the plant based protein need to get with it. I complained about it to my local Panera and the manager said they should just replace the protein, not charge extra so give it a try if you order in person.
Panera is very disappointing on the salad for not allowing substitutions for the chicken. Thanks for exploring Panera because I had no idea about the sandwich.
Yeah, I dont eat at Panera anymore because Im not a fan of the Mediterranean sandwhich, and they have very little that is vegan friendly. I used to loooove me some Panera. I hope they bring in options for us in the future though.
I had cold stone silk ice cream the other day with peanut butter and oreos. So good! Glad its not close to my house otherwise I would be there way too often
Noodles here also has meat subs if that's your thang..."chicken" and "meatballs." I always go back to the Japanese pan with tofu though. I'm so glad he asked how to twirl noodles on chopsticks because I was marveling at Sarah's technique. I'm going to have to watch that a few (thousand) more times so I can get the hang of it!
Today we got $8 of vegan food at Taco Bell. A bean burrito with extra beans, plus rice, no cheese. A black bean burrito with extra beans plus red sauce, no cheese. An order of potatoes, no cheese or sour cream. 2 sides of red sauce, 2 sides of guacamole, and lots of packets of hot sauce: Hot, Fire, and Diablo!!!! 😋😋😋❤👍
20:50 Oh my gosh, you looked so so cute in the dessert shot. The fleeces, the hairstyles...just all about it screamed "cool old-school" for me. Thanks for making me smile!
I am glad you actually had a good time filming this video for us - was great to see you genuinely excited to try something new! Having said that, it is just INSANE places like Panera don't offer decent substitutions free of charge and allow you to purchase this plain bowl of lettuce with a piece of bread at full price. This should be outlawed XD . Anyways, sending you lots of love! Have a great end of this week!
Thank you for always working so hard to make each and every single one of your videos hyper entertaining and yet still really detailed with information about how to do things as I have started having an increasingly hard time cooking and move to a town of 7400 people who all eat meat there is no vegan or vegetarian options at any of the restaurants we have and we do not have any vegetarian or vegan options sold in any of our grocery stores including our local Walmart who is owned by a slaughter farmer so he literally laughed in my face when I asked him if he could order me vegan things for the meat department to sell
i am often the one guy who orders6 sidedishes to get a decent meal i feel it totally^^ But sometimes no fries because they fry in animal fat or they use the same oil where some meat gets deepfried too
I went to a theme park a couple of days ago, and they literally had nothing for vegans I was so hungry and literally just ate fries because even the salads had meat
The last 3 times I’ve ordered from Panera I’ve gotten my Mediterranean veggie sandwich 1) on wrong bread, no avocado I paid extra for, and with the cheese I requested be left off 2) went back and they fixed the bread & avocado and still had cheese 3) new day no avocado again and with cheese. They are nice about getting it fixed but I’ve learned my lesson. I will not leave the parking lot without unwrapping and checking everything. The salad is such a ripoff. Use to love it when they had the soba noodles & edamame bowls you could make vegan. The grain bowl with hummus & black olives was a favorite until they messed up my order so many times and made me royally sick once when I had no time to go back and had to pick off stuff or not eat lunch. I believe the vegetable soup is vegan. I love their ice tea. 💗
I like the dessert from Coldstone, but I agree I wouldn't go out of my way to get it, mostly due to the price. I am glad though they have it when the rest of my family wants to go there and I can get something. We LOVE these places. We get Noodles and company a lot and sometimes Panera/St. Louis Bread Company. I believe the Ten vegetable is, at least last time I look. I tend to get the Mediterranean sandwich too. We get the udon a lot and pad Thai in our house.
Thank you so much for making this video guys! I a love your home cooked meals and often am inspired to adding more veggies that I usually am not thinking of in your meals. I struggle to think of any vegan fast food options might want to have when I'm in the go and that sandwich from Panera look deeelish! Can't wait to try it 😊 Ya'll are great.
Listen I felt you when you said you're feeling the online pickup. I've literally picked somewhere else to eat just to avoid human contact. I plan out what I'm going to order in the car before I go in to some places without online ordering.
I never bother with Starbucks but I go everywhere else! These are all relevant restaurants very near me and I love hearing you guys talk about the things I order. Validating whether or not I have good taste.. I believe you guys do. 😋 See you two interact is very very sweet, too. 🥰
OMG! We have to thank you for introducing us to Noodles and Company restaurant! We live in AZ and there are not a lot of restaurants with decent vegan options.... After watching you guys we googled the name and there is one located 25 minutes away. We are making plans to try it real soon! Thank you so much, we loves you guys🙂❤❤
Starbucks also has oatmeal that is vegan. It's instant oatmeal, but if you get the blueberry oatmeal, it comes with a little container of fresh blueberries and nuts (in a little baggie, in case you're allergic like me) and is pretty good. It's not amazing, but it's a solid choice. It's instant oatmeal, after all. Better than a plain bagel.
Thank you for all of the info about the restaurants. I got some good ideas on what I could order. And I'm super excited about the Silk ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. I'm thinking I might need a chocolate shake since I haven't had one in a couple of decades. 😋🤗😃
Long time first time here. I love watching your recipes because you're one of the only recipe developers that season properly (meaning lots and at every stage 😍)But I also really enjoy seeing you two together, you are so sweet, silly and genuine, your connection is so warm. Thanks for the lovely content!
I love your channel! There are three products you HAVE to try: Babybel plant-based cheese, Boursin dairy-free cheese, and Lindt Oatmilk chocolate bars... especially the salted caramel one! I promise you will love them all! 🌝
I’m having a great time binge watching your videos while I make pizza in. Y camper trailer! I didn’t have good service for 3 weeks so have some catching up to do. I even made pizza on our little outside propane grill, tonight’s the little propane oven though. Wish I had some of that ice cream right now! ❤️
When Sarah said "we need some sriracha" I panicked for a second cause I ran out the other day and didn't buy a new one yet... as if we live together? Though sriracha has been ruined in europe (or sweden at least) since they removed the spice in it....
Thanks, this was a great video, as always! I'm not a big "eat-out, carry-out" person myself. And yes, before I went vegan when I lived in NYC there were so many great Chinese food restaurants (and great vegan ones as well), even hole-in-the-wall places, that I only ate Panda Express when I was in the airport, lol!
At Panera you might as well have gotten their Café salad and changed the salad. When I worked there, that sandwich was called the “Mediterranean veggie”
When we are on a trip, I get the Greek salad at Panera and take cheese off, and I add almonds, cucumber, quinoa, and avocado. Unfortunately, like Sarah said, it costs money to do this…..but there are options
you need to try the cado chocolate ice cream! it’s a little bit on the pricy side, i get it from target but it’s more expensive at whole foods in my area so just check the prices :) it’s so good! best one i’ve tried yet for vegan chocolate ice cream alternatives
Another awesome video from Sarah & Eric with yummy 😋 fast food. Love 🥰 this video and I like to have a occasional vegan fast food only day but try to eat healthy most of the time. Love😍 vegan fast food. Love 💕❤️ Sarah & Eric.
I have never been to noodles & co the first 2 sound amazing ( except the cilantro 🤢) and I am so excited to look for those vegan breakfast/lunch options at starbucks. I feel your small town vibes cause I moved from what I always called a small town in ky to an even more severely small town in IA ( wal mart is almost a half hour away and alot of the good stuff are at least an hour away ( sioux city IA or Omaha Nebraska). XO Davita
I feel like Panera has better vegan options then that although maybe it is because I am only vegetarian. But the vegetable soup is vegan and I believe the black bean soup is too (its vegetarian for sure and I doubt there would be dairy). They also have grain bowls now (the baja bowl, I think you can just get without the feta or the yogurt and it would be vegan. Similar for the Mediterranean bowl. And both bowls have a chicken or no chicken option so makes that part easy). Also, the southwest salad I think can easily be made vegan and at least has beans and corn and avocado etc. that make it filling.
You have to go to Panda inn! Not crappy Panda Express (that's the fast food version of the real thing)... But PANDA INN!!! The tofu eggplant is the best in the world!
Wait is noodles and company not popular everywhere? It’s super popular in the Midwest. I’m personally not a huge fan cause noodles are so easy to make but it’s a nice option to have!
People don't understand that there is protien and often a lot in everything. Bagels (wheat) are actually significantly higher in protein than that chickpea bowl if you do the math. (And bagels are much higher in protein than regular cream cheese)
Do you have Indian food near you? They always have a lot of vegetarian options, but a lot of vegetarians are becoming vegan in India. I have been seeing recently vegan options becoming more common on their menus, at least in Arizona and New Mexico.
I also tried many ways to make coffee. Had even nespresso machines twice during my life. Have an italian Bialetti and a Gaggia Espresso maker. Both still in use. But most of the time I grind my beans in a 20 Euro grinder and brew it in a porcelain filter like my grandma. Have a milk foamer too and together it makes a very good coffee. would never buy nespresso again, it's so expensive you can use instead every coffee and grind your self vor a cheaper price. Also the aluminium ist problematic even if recycled. For the US it's even more problematic because recycling is mandatory in the majority of the states so those aluminium capsules are just dumped. Such a waste of recourses.
Panera did offer a vegan Minestrone soup, but that was discontinued a few weeks ago. Their black bean soup is vegan, but is also only seasonally available. They seem to be on a 3 month schedule, as far as revising their soup offerings. So for now, no vegan soup (at least: in Arizona). Panda Express did offer a vegan orange chick'n entrée temporarily, but that has since been rescinded.
If you think it's okay to pay $12 for some lettuce in a plastic container, you are whacked. Just goes to show how downhill this country has become in the last 6months and people are trying to make it the norm,it's insanity.
Panda Express does not have any vegetarian thay say this on the web page Ingredients are based upon standardized recipes. Variations in nutrition values may occur based upon regional and seasonal ingredient differences, packaging differences and menu items being individually hand served. Panda uses ingredients that contain all the major FDA allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, milk, soy and wheat). Panda prepares its entrees fresh with shared cooking equipment and therefore allergens could be present in any entree. Panda Express does not have any vegetarian or gluten free dishes. No MSG added except for that naturally occurring in certain ingredients. so it is good you did not eat thare
Whenever I get the pan noodles, I bring it home and ADD steamed zoodles to it on my own. It’s perfection!
You guys are the cutest! These companies that charge the same amount for a meal without the protein and want to up charge for the plant based protein need to get with it. Taco Bell and Chipotle are two of my favorite places for vegan fast food!!
@@callmesg_16 Same here!!! Incredible options & affordable!!
I can’t with starbucks 😂 ”Oh you’re vegan? Here’s some CARROTS AND SEEDS!!!”
Also, there are almonds in EVERYTHING, so screw you if you're vegan and have nut allergies. 🙃🙃🙃
And extra for plant-based milk

That Panera salad is exactly what you would get when eating out with a bunch of meat eating people, just add a side of fries and you're all set lol
i am often the one guy who orders6 sidedishes to get a decent meal i feel it totally^^ But sometimes no fries because they fry in animal fat or they use the same oil where some meat gets deepfried too

Love u guys. LGM. The Panera by me in the capital region of NY has vegan soup options frequently and sourdough bread bowls. 😅
Cold stone has the best flavored vegan chocolate ice cream. I ask them to fold in peanut butter and it’s soooo good!
