Hi, friends. This video is suuuuper long, so thank you so much if you make it all the way to the end! This style of video is fun for us to make so we hope you enjoy it. 🥰
so true about the bananas--realized I like them best when they aren't so spotty!! It makes me really happy to come back and keep watching your videos. Been falling out of love with veganism a little recently and it's always discouraging when I find out the vegan youtubers I used to watch all the time (and who inspired me to go and stay vegan in the first place) are no longer vegan. Thanks for keeping my inspired!!
a tip for those who plan to make the seitan in the instant pot - it ended up taking me 2 hours to have it fully cooked. i initially cooked it for 45 mins with the release and it was still really soft. i let it sit for a few hours in the fridge to firm up but it was still soft so i cut it open and it was gummy. i went on the seitan appreciation society group on facebook and learned it’s because it was under cooked. most people on there recommend instant pot times to be from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours at the very least. so i added an extra hour and 25 minutes, cut it open, and it was perfectly cooked! it’s now resting overnight to set. just a little tip for those who might encounter the same issue - no need to throw it out and start again. i used the same brand of vwg as sarah did so i don’t think it was that. not sure if instant pot setting vary from model to model? my loaf wasn’t that big so it’s not like it was super thick or anything compared to the one on the video.
I love watching these when I really dunno what to eat. I'm kinda picky and have troubles to eat enough, so these inspire me to cook more and eat more . Thank you for that 🥰
You guys are the best! I have been vegan for 7 years and I don't understand why you showed up in my youtube suggestion only now ! But that's alright I have a lot of videos to cactch up on then ! I really like your recipes and that you are both of you just casually presenting your favorite recipe and Eric always have a "special" recipe ahah ! Thank you for the inspiration ! Hi from Iceland ! 🥰
When I found this channel ( was looking up tofu recipes) I was immediately hooked, and binged watched multiple videos every single day, it was pretty funny that anytime my bf would see what I'm watching it would be Sarah and Eric cooking. He ended up sitting with me and watching as well.
Looove the long video format, the longer the better haha. And I really enjoy that you guys cook and film all week then put it into one vlog, it's so enjoyable to watch. I actually watched this whole vlog twice because I started to write down which recipes I want to make and planning what groceries I need to pick up :)
You guys remind me of my friends in high school. My graduating class was only 36 people, so we were all a pretty tight group. Fond memories of hanging out in kitchens or backyards, just talking about everything under the sun, late into the night. Good vibes all around.
I really enjoy these videos. Y'all are so cute. I still have my grandmother's cast iron skillet. It's over 100 years old. (She was born in 1894.) They literally last forever!
I absolutely love your videos, especially the long ones :-) You two are adorable together and both of you have inspired this 66-year-old to make super vegan meals. Keep 'em comin'
Thank you for posting this video! I think this is a good fit for what I am trying to learn about, but I might have to take some time to re-watch some steps more carefully (and/or watch other videos). Again, thank you very much!
The Yellowbird sriracha is probably my fave! Also I would love a soy curl series. Soy curls are my absolute fave, but I always find myself defaulting to the same recipe (sweetsimplevegan’s Filipino barbecue). Would love some new ideas to try!
My partner and I recently found your channel and we have been absolutely binging your videos they have been so inspiring to us and we plan on making several of your dishes this week
FYI yellow not brown/spotty bananas are full of resistant starch so super beneficial for gut health, brown or spotty ones are way higher in sugar and so better for baking with 😊
I’m fairly new to your channel and absolutely love you both together, the reason why you always get freebies is because you both look like really kind people and Eric is such a gentleman. Oh and l also love your recipes.❤❤😊
I was so excited to see this video in my feed. I always enjoy all of your videos. And the food you make always looks so much better than anything I make 😁 I started buying the YellowBird sauces because you mentioned it in a video (habanero is my fav) but I didn't know they made sriracha. I'll be on the lookout for that now, thanks! I also love the L'ville Jerky and agree it is expensive so I am eager to try your recipe. A smoky chipotle jerky sounds delicious!
It's the first time I have seen you so I have been binge watching. It's really nice to see that you both cook and you both talk. It's great to see your recipes over the weeks and how you balance your overall diet. I am amazed at how much vegan food has gone main stream and widely available in America. Love to you both❤ from UK
I've been eating mostly the same stuff lately: lentils, chickpeas, some tofu and it can get quite boring haha. But your videos help me to make something new and tasty! Thanks :)
I’ve been looking for a hops kombucha since Brew Doctor retired their citrus hops flavor! Also the jerky recipe is gonna save me so much money. Im addicted to Louisville Carolina Gold jerky.
Loved everything in this video. My husband and I are also enjoying similar food lately (making poke & sushi rolls with the watermelon tuna recipe!), with our cbd gummies while playing through TOTK 😀 We love the Louisville vegan jerkey, but it's so expensive....going to try this recipe for sure!
I recently came across a vegan Ham flavored broth base powder (Orrington Farm) and thought it might be good in seitan, so I think I'll try it with your recipe! And ultimately, Hawaiian Pizza. Yeah for spring and outdoor food. Hoping a grill comes back into your life soon.
@@leauphillips3563 Ohhh ... soup! I make split pea soup pretty regularly, I bet it'd be great in that. I'm glad to hear a positive review before experimenting with it. Thanks!
I love making this jerky for when I travel. Also, I stopped the video to make a smoothie to drink while I finished watching. Wonderful content as always. As for the sriracha, if you have a P.O. Box, happy to send y’all some OG.
I love that - every time I think you're done, there's more! Seriously, enjoyed thoroughly and got some great ideas like - pushing pause to go for a drink and passed saw a bag of Butler's Soy Curls i bought a month ago but have yet to use because I wasn't sure WHAT to do with them. Came back to my iPad, unpaused your vid and guess what the next recipe was? Soy Curl Jerky!
Yes they still have the java chip frappe. They also have double chocolate chip creme frappe. I don't drink coffee so I prefer the latter. Great video! ❤
I loved this so much! 🤩 I’m going grocery shopping today, so this came at a perfect time-added a lot to my list! 😅 Thank you for the recipes and inspiration! 💚
I made the deli meat ! All I can say is thank youuuuu! Yum yum yummm... you should try the vegan broth base ham flavored from orringtons farm... its amazing! Love your videos!
YUM!!! So much recipe inspiration for the week- thank you! Do you know where you got that little baking sheet that you used to roast the sweet potatoes? I'm looking for one that size!
Don't know if you two will see this or if someone has said this but the best place I've found OG Sriracha consistently is my local Asian Grocery. Hope that helps. :)
8 days late to the party but I like to add avocado to my smoothies and soy protein powder. Not a big fan of sweet or banana-y or peanut butter smoothies in the morning or late night when I need a protein kick for my diabetes.
I love these types of videos! I’ve been wanting to try making seitan but don’t want to use my oven. Can you use the instant pot method you used for the ham for other types of seitan?
Y E S I had the exact same thing with bananas. I thought I hated nicecream. Turns out I actually looooove it when I use pretty "new" bananas instead of brown spotty ones.
What do you season your air fried potatoes with? I’m really bad at cooking and pretty busy so don’t have a lot of time but trying to step up my cooking game. I’ve learned to make a few meals but I was raised on pizza and box Mac n cheese so since tryinb to change my diet it’s been rough learning to cook and cook vegan . I’m just terrible with spices . You meals always look so delicious tho!
brilliant video....watched till the end... here for your personal evolution of home baking / home vegan meats ... you're so good at it sarah!!! for persepctive that ham log would go retail for like $60. 1) eric is oh-so unawarely experiencing pretty privilege in action in public ;) 2) fast food workers are friendly ppl just trying to have a good day.
Hey Sarah. My boyfriend and I love the long videos. Love the idea for ham style seitan. I do not have an instant pot, is there any other way to cook this loaf? Can it be baked like your other recipes?
Oh my gosh! Just started the video and I had to pause and comment. Eric is spot on!!! Overripe bananas smell like banana runts and gross me out! 🤢 I have to eat my banana right as it has turned yellow, with a little green still left. My parents call me crazy, but if there is even the slightest brown to it, I say it's gone 😂 Now back to the video!
I made the deli meat before in the instant pot and somehow the cooking time was just way too much for mine, it was so dry :( still good when sliced thin but yours definitely looks better. I didn't change the recipe, used the oil. Not sure what went wrong, I'd do it again and just cook it for maybe 30 mins or something
Hi, friends. This video is suuuuper long, so thank you so much if you make it all the way to the end! This style of video is fun for us to make so we hope you enjoy it. 🥰
I love these longer videos! So much inspiration ❤
Sarah your videos could never be too long!!
But yellow bananas - could never😂
Really loved this video! I hope you make more this way :)
These are my favourite ones!!
They may be long but I love these videos, pls don’t sto making them I find so much inspiration for my meals
Glad you enjoy the long format :)
Agreeeeeeee! I love long videos!
Came here to comment about this!! I hate shorts! 🤣 your videos are my favourite. Long is better. Thank you for the inspo, always!
I think Eric has a really good, inviting energy about him. I'm glad you two found each other.
This was actually so enjoyable to watch and had sooo many good ideas!!! I loved the longer format 😊
Y'all are a ray of sunshine whenever I see a new upload!! The food inspo, the vibes, the banter etc. are always on point!! 20:12 was so cute lol
Aww thank you so much!!

I love when you said you are looking rough and your bf reassures you so peacefully. A loving, kind relationship
so fun! I always love seeing the variety of meals people get up to. I will have to try making some cool seitan like you have shown on the channel.
Thank you for posting this video! I think this is a good fit for what I am trying to learn about, but I might have to take some time to re-watch some steps more carefully (and/or watch other videos). Again, thank you very much!

A week of realistic eating that actually is fairly realistic?! Love it!
when you said you were making ham, i was like "in what world?!". then that thing came out looking JUST like ham. i'm shooketh. amazing!
I’ve been looking for a hops kombucha since Brew Doctor retired their citrus hops flavor! Also the jerky recipe is gonna save me so much money. Im addicted to Louisville Carolina Gold jerky.
I really appreciate your multiple recipes! A nice variety to try. Thanks
I have been eating the breakfast tacos you make I think almost every day for 2 weeks now and I cannot wait to try more things from this video 😊
Omg I love your long videos they're the ones I look forward to the most! I love seeing you two together you're my relationship goals🤗
I really love these videos not minding how long it is!

Yeah for spring and outdoor food. Hoping a grill comes back into your life soon.
I love that stuff and use it as a base for bean soup and so many other things!
@@leauphillips3563 Ohhh ... soup! I make split pea soup pretty regularly, I bet it'd be great in that. I'm glad to hear a positive review before experimenting with it. Thanks!
Holy fuck i could have Hawaiian pizza again 🤤
Not vegan, but love the recipe inspiration.

Very easy vegan recipes! The blender also looks very unique as well!

Yes they still have the java chip frappe. They also have double chocolate chip creme frappe. I don't drink coffee so I prefer the latter. Great video! ❤

Yum yum yummm... you should try the vegan broth base ham flavored from orringtons farm... its amazing! Love your videos!
Loved this video. I’ve been needing meal inspo lately. Also you guys are always adorable.
Love the long videos! I'd love a video about how to take care of cast iron pans. I've been very confused about it.
I get so much inspiration from your videos. Your recipes are always delicious 😋
Love the long vlogs and so happy you two found each other ❤
YUM!!! So much recipe inspiration for the week- thank you! Do you know where you got that little baking sheet that you used to roast the sweet potatoes? I'm looking for one that size!
Keep making these long videos! They’re my favorite
YUM! I lovved all of your meals, thanks for sharing such goodies ! ! I need a cast iron skillet 100%. Blessings to you both !
I love these looong videos, please continue making them ❤
Love these videos 😊. I really got to get on making jerky with soy curls or slices. I bet one could make some delicious bacon bits with TVP too!
Thanks for the smoothie recommendation I'm going to try it with some Soom dark chocolate tahini
Your cast iron is amazingly well seasoned--can you share more about how you generally take care of it?
Zevia is the shit. It hits the spot when you want something sweet.
Some of these recipes look real Great!!
Just realized how much I missed watching your channel.
Oh man, everything looks so freaking good!!! 🤤 I wish I lived with you so I could eat all of these meals lol
Don't know if you two will see this or if someone has said this but the best place I've found OG Sriracha consistently is my local Asian Grocery.
Hope that helps. :)
I am the same way, I don't like when it tastes like a banana. As a diabetic I have to eat it when it is more green.
Love love the long form content Sarah!! Thank you!

I love these. It gives me ideas
Orrington farms vegan ham seasoning really helps.
I love these types of videos! I’ve been wanting to try making seitan but don’t want to use my oven. Can you use the instant pot method you used for the ham for other types of seitan?
Wow your recipes look like my kind of cooking!!! And your sourdough loaf looks fantastic!!!!
Y E S I had the exact same thing with bananas. I thought I hated nicecream. Turns out I actually looooove it when I use pretty "new" bananas instead of brown spotty ones.
These kinds of videos are so helpful and just charming!
I agree I like starchier bananas
I can't wait to try the pancakes. When my family visit the US, I'll get dome soy curls and try that jerky recipe.
I agree about the bananas. I love your channel. The recipes are wonderful and capable of being prepared in real life with a daily job (teacher).
Really like watching the cooking and assembly. Thank you.
I think it's really cool that Eric develops bomb recipes, too. :) Lots of cool things to try here!
Best channel for me. Love your presentation, and happy couple. Recipes are great.
yeeeeessss!! more long form content like this! i love these vids and get so many good ideas
Literally the cutest vegan couple
And Eric is hot but that’s just an additional point 🙈
Might need to try the spicy crab onigiri, I've been looking for sushi crab that isn't a whole day process

They still have the java chip at Starbucks. Thank you for thw smoothie idea. I was trying to find a way to add protein w/o adding protein powder.
Soy Curls! I need more recipes for them. So far I have only used them in gyoza filling.

Great video! The Sky Valley sriracha is really good too!
Not me already making a grocery list to buy all of these ingredients.
Also wish we could find that Kombucha or cola on the east coast!
the montage at the end was so comfy

My favorite off brand sriracha is Trader Joe’s one mixed with their green dragon hot sauce.
My fave sriracha is Yellowbird blue agave
Is there a recipe for the tofu crab salad?? Genius!
Do you have a recipe for your banana smoothie? They look delicious.😀
Any suggestions on vegan lobster
I see a lot of people using hearts of palm as a lobster substitute.
