The end of the video is what got me the most. I have been Scared to schedule my BEC, coz I am not able reach my daily study targets with kids and life taking its own toll. The fact that what matters is the tag and not the timeline or the score is a lot more encouraging that just watching people crack theirs in a month or 2.
I’m also a double major in Bachelors of Science in accounting and business administration. Thanks for sharing this video because this is the journey I’m currently on.
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Willard.
Hello Sean, delightful video! Congratulations! It almost feels surreal that there are ways to make the studying process efficient and effective. I previously used Rogers and that was 4 years ago and ended up with 65 and 73 on FAR and BEC. Honestly was a disappointing experience. I took a break for personal reasons. I am now getting ready to get back on this path. In the videos you have made it seem doable!! Why I want a CPA, I have a BS in finance and accounting and MBA and have 25 years of industry experience. My goal is to leverage my prior experience with technical accounting knowledge. Recently became a empty nester and this would be my form of giveback with my skills. And a good strong reentry into the workforce! I plan to use your order of FAR, AUD, REG, BEC. It would be full time and would begin studying mid August.
Thank you for this I actually did your model and I got A 65 I did not pass because my anxiety made me rush to the exam and I finished in 3.5 hours I will take it in a couple weeks and this time I am more confident I also don't eat when I go because my anxiety does not let me eat but I was able to sneak in a bottle of water. I hope this time I take a deep breath and I make it through calmly. Just take my time because I'm sure I would have passed if I would have just relaxed.
Hello i will advice you to contact Mr James for a help he will give you some question and answers which will be ask on your exam day he can also help you without you retaking the exam again
Hi Sean, great video! I have a couple of questions for you. So you mention that Simulations should go last to jumpstart the review process. Ok, what grabbed my attention is that you said that it should take 8 to 10 hours total to do. That little time? I would think that this is like 20 to 30 hours. I am wanting to follow this advise so let me know your thoughts because I was planning to do the Sims as I go but now thinking about it, this is a better idea. Next question is about the practice exams. So you recommend doing sets of 31 questions? And this is only done at the end on the review phase or did you also do this as you went? Were Simulations included when you did this? For instance, 31 M/C and like 2 Sims? Or just pure M/C? Finally, how long did you take doing the final review? Hope to see your responses soon and Thanks for the videos.
Two questions for you: 1.) what was the hardest exam you took and was that influenced by your profession? (Audit or tax) 2.) did you get a masters in accounting and if so do you think it’s realistic for a bachelors degree candidate to do well ?
1) I passed the three hardest exams before I started working, I would say REG was hardest for me but I also wasn't in a good mental state when I took it 2) No, I have a bachelor's of science in accounting and a bachelor's of science in business administration. You definitely do not need a master's degree to pass the CPA exam, I think it is more than possible to pass with just a bachelor's degree
Sean Todd thanks man for your perspective I really appreciate it! I’m get my reg score back on Tuesday and taking audit on March 9th so keep me on your prayers 🙏
Uuugh damn Gleim gave me sooo many formulas to memorize for BEC & I am not sure if those questions would even be asked. Did you memorize some of the not so general formulas for BEC? Sooo tired here but trying to push through :(
I heard that you can BS your way through written communications because the computer algorithmically grades it, in case you have no idea about the topic.
How do you feel about the financial management section? This section feels like the worst one. Some people say not to worry about it too much, that it is better to just get the broad concepts down and then drill down the other sections of BEC.
Hey Sean! Your videos have helped me in my other exams. BEC is my last exam, I feel it’s a weird subject.. and I’m finding it difficult to understand the mcqs questions in the right way... do you have any tips to overcome this ?
I don't really have any tips, I didn't struggle with BEC since it was my favorite section, but I would approach it the same as any other section, persistence is key!

15:21 perfect message. I tell people that it's not that the exam is hard, it's more that many people don't have the time to study. It's a lot of information, it's like taking the final exam in a class without any midterm, it's hard to do. Many people also struggle with the self-study aspect (I know I have an absolute f* all time trying to time manage when I study). I'm taking the BEC on the last day of the current version (hopefully, I pass because I won't be able to retake it next year). For months, I was using Ninja to study with (a couple cpa's I know swore by it), but it was not for me. I have Becker now, and after only 2 days of studying, I had retained a lot more information.
How much overall total time it takes to read and finish BEC? Did you read in small time frame like 1-2 hours daily or 6-8 hours together? Thank you so much for videos.

So I have literally been binge watching all ur cpa vids n encouraging vids first off I would like to thank u for posting these videos. they have encouraged me to go head and purse getting my cpa in the future. I was really planning on getting my associates degree and try and start my career if that’s a realistic view point.
Eli Bradley I like your ambition, there’s a lot to be said for that! I would recommend you look into your state licensing requirements before buying any study material. For California, we have to have 150 credit hours of school to be a licensed CPA, which equates to usually a double major or a bachelors and a masters degree
You studied for BEC the same way as you studied for REG. What did you think that you did this time that you didnt do when studying for REG that caused you to score much higher this time?
Kevin Li I was much more rushed when I took REG, covered way more material in 3 weeks for REG as opposed to one month for half the material with BEC, BEC was much easier in my opinion
Thank you for sharing how you passed BEC! I am still trying to decide if I want to use Becker or Roger for my exam preparation. I’m definitely leaning more towards Becker since I’ve noticed more people have to supplement Roger with other programs.

How many by days did you study for BEC?
Maybe 10, I love business & studied it in college so it was incredibly easy for me
If I only do MCQ questions , I can pass?
there is no easy way to pass, some people could pass doing that method, others can't. Entirely depends on your knowledge base
does he have a masters
What benefit will that do to you, you don't need Master's to sit for the CPA
