I came across your videos by chance searching for answers as to why, despite lessons with a local pro, my ball striking is so bad. I've had 13 years away from golf having been an 8 handicap and now I'd be lucky to be a 28, I can hit my irons Ok'ish but put a wood of any description in my hands and it can go anywhere.
Now watching through several of your videos, I especially liked the one on wrist motion as I know I tend to come over the top and struggle releasing the club properly. I shall practice that movement in my living room to take it to the range next time.
I'm really enjoying watching your videos that put things across in a manner that seems easy to understand, although doing them at just short of 66 years of age may be harder!😆

I have done various "skill games" such as billiards and darts, as well as bowling, Played baseball and was a nationally ranked olympic TKD competitor, the golf swing is by far the most difficult and complex movement in all of sports.

At 6:30 it just occurred to me that while Moe Norman doesn't (can't) bend his trailing knee much, it's because he has an ultrawide stance. So he does bend down his mostly straight trailing leg to keep the correct spine tilt coming into impact as he put his weight on the inseam of his trailing foot/ankle. But for us mortals Craig, I'm with you - well done!

Moe always carried a silver dollar in his pocket - he used it to practice - he would place the coin directly on the target line - about 2 feet forward of his stance - he would try to swing his club at that coin - what it did - was make him move almost identical to what Craig is saying - forward down and under . he would reach for that coin with his right hand - he called it shaking hands with that flag - that was about as technical as he would get. - his downswing - he had a sequence - he called buckle sit slide and bump - that was his sequence from the top - buckle would mean his knees flexed downward - sit - his hips would sit down a little -- slide was lateral motion toward the target - and bump was impact . BTW he called it bump because he always was completely technique driven not - distance -- if you think of impact as some violent collision - your technique (accuracy) would suffer . Oh -yeah - about the inseam of his right leg - he used to show me pictures from the 50s /60s when he hit it his best - he would try to get dirt on his sock of his right ankle that is how much his ankle would roll inward at impact - that is what he used to practice - getting mud on his sock of his right foot . by the 70s when i first met him he didn't have that flexibility anymore so he couldn't do it - but he did tell me that is what he tried to do when his body could do it - and he hit it his best - but honestly he was still hitting it very pure right up until he died.

Something all pro golfers do reflexively in the downswing in addition to tilting pelvis, spine and shoulders together (i.e. pelvis and shoulders tilted at the same angle relative to ground) is side bend the lumbar spine ) which tilts the shoulders much more than the pelvis.
None of the amateurs in the video have much if any in their swings. I didn’t either until I studied Hogan’s and Sneads and marveled at how they were able to keep the trail am tucked in tight, which helps keep the lead arm lever which pulls the club under control and allows it to be dragged down the target line instead of reacting to the force of the club swinging down by early extending. When I added progressively increasing side bend to my swing in the same way Hogan and Snead my ball striking improved in all respects.
Its not just semantics between ‘tilt’ and ‘bend’ but a significant functional difference.
Tilting the spine is a function of moving the legs and tilting the pelvis. If there is no side-bending the shoulders tilt at the same angle in response.
Changing the angle of the shoulders relative to the hips, which is what you and all the pro videos show, is the result of sideways bending and twisting of the spine which can done independently from tilt or rotation of the pelvis.
The reason I didn’t use side-bend enough in my swing despite reading books by Nickluas, Watson, Palmer, Hogan etc. was none of them to my memory explain its role.
I realized that if I tossed a ball sidearm it was side bending - and keeping my trail foot grounded - which allowed me to extent my trail arm down the target line when releasing the ball. The only difference in the golf swing is that the ‘connected’ lead arm pulls the hand left around the feet as the trail arm straights which also yanks the club head mass which is trying to go off to the right as hands reach back hip down the target line.

I have a question about Right knee action.
I got right knee how to move inside though,
How should I extend right leg?
If any chance exist, I am looking forward to upload about it!

No keep inside your toe line keep it moving towards your left knee

I thought that tilt at 9:08 was too much for an iron, but then I went and watched where a pro was at impact and it was almost identical. I guess I need to see where I am at impact, but I compress the ball well, and strike my irons pretty crisp most of the time.

Fantastic video as normal - One question - I find that if my 'thought" on the downswing is to to focus on right knee staying inside the toe line then this automatically gets my tilts and my right shoulder correct - does this make sense?

Craig Hanson it looks to me that if you hold the lag angle a lot at delivery you won't move the hips left as much in the downswing as someone who releases the angle more early . So there has to be a match up thing going on and those movements are tied.

Personally I fink it starts from the top , it’s the speed of the arms working down that puts u into transition naturally no need to fink about this imo
