Great video! Without having one of these in front of you it is hard to apprecate how massive they are. I picked Thruster and the Command Center up a few years back and immediately resold them as they were far too big for a one bedroom flat. Now I have them again and can't wait to display them together.
A lot of playsets need that special something to make them stand out as a good toy, I've been thinking. The Gobots having a command center that's a giant robot you can interact with almost quite hits it. That sound feature would have been a plus if it didn't become a minus real quick.
I've always loved that the Go Bot toys just stuck to looking like robots. They don't all have human faces, shapes, hands, feet etc. They are more alien than most transformers.
I saw a new video by THE man and clicked on it without reading the title and once I heard gobots I had a flashback to that weird ATAT lookin base fella that made a noise that woke me up from a nice sleep. i am SO happy that this video ALSO contains big scary noise to jolt me awake from the depths of slumber.
How many parents bitterly regretted their choices on Xmas morning when they heard the sensor alarm on this toy for the 100th time? Probably not too many of these left due to quite a few disappearing mysteriously into a skip...sorry, "flown off into space" as they told the kids on New Years.
Oh I could see parents taking the batteries out of this thing REAL fast.
The 80's play set checklist on Thruster:
Oh my pets absolutely HATE the motion detector! 😆

Wow a toy and an alarm system. All in one, what else I can ask for.
Repugnus's laugh was both delightful and scary as hell.... 😳

That motion detector sounds like one of those rubber chickens

Hehe love the command seat and the goofy robot mode. Gobots being nearly all the same size was nice for playsets.
That noise; sounds like Homer's "everything is fine" alarm. set to ultra-annoy!
Passed on a 15 minute review of this toy. But his review was exactly as long as it needed to be. Thank you!
MAJOR flashbacks here. Until this video, I completely forgot I had this as a kid! I loved flicking that spring-loaded thumb back and forth.

I saw the Tri-Rex at the end there, you big tease!
1) Thanks for giving us such high-quality views of this thing. Before this, I think only T2RX6 had ever reviewed it?
