These MANTA FORCE toys aren't familiar to me, but they still make the 5yr-old-from-1986-me want to play with them.

You know what these figures need? Magnets on their feet and vehicles/play sets that fold into a uniform size so they can all be carried by the main ships. I mean, if there was a toyline like that, I'm sure you'd cover it in detail at some point, right??

Toy sales have never peaked because nothing could top the Manta Force line. Everything from the Manta to Red Venom to the Bog Rocket is more perfect than the last. It's infinite perfection for infinity.

I ended up buying five when I got in to collecting this line. Only one had an unbroken canopy. Another I stripped of its parts and binned the rest because of the poor condition it was in, I also learned that glue was used in attaching the crews seats in the main hanger bay. Despite the large army of the vehicles I had built up, it was more challenging trying to gather a complete set of the alternate coloured crafts they sold in individual packs. But I now have one Manta ship filled with these alternate coloured variants. You ever read the comic book?
Manta Force is very much "we have Diaclone Reboot at home". Where home is a lovely cosy place where we enjoyed our childhoods. Not the modern home dystopia where we can no longer afford our mortgages.

When I'd build Lego Spaceships I always added a faucet into the cockpit cuz it just seemed like it'd be handy to have right there on a long journey.

Hasbro should've made The Ark like this with a voyager class, some deluxe and a few core class figures inside.
