I'm really looking forward to getting one, the thruster mechanism is a great feature.

I'm actually really excited for this set because it's so we'll designed and I love the inner details for play features! This set is making me root for show. Hope it turns out well
One of your better reviews. I think because there is no source material, you get to experience it for what it gives alone without having to view it for any accuracy. This open mindset lets you enjoy the build and features as a kid would. Well done.
This set is actually a new hope for lego. It utilizies almost all the space inside. They could have made the mechanism take less space but maybe thats something for fans to mod themselves. Still... Insane value. Definetely buying it
Big shout out to Ryan for giving us no nonsense reviews and analysing a set from a variety of different perspectives that helps the consumer make an informed choice. Definitely beats the other reviewers who think a grey baseplate with 5 figures is the best August release (paid actor).

Thanks for showing this. Although it looks incredibly cool, we still don't know much what "Skeleton Crew" is about except it follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. And this set being released before the show airs, it is difficult to gauge how well the show and playset will be received. This just feels like a white whale of lego Star Wars. Even now, we still have no Acolyte playsets. Remember when we got "75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle" (did not buy), and it was mostly based on concept art, and later we got "75256 Kylo Ren's Shuttle" (did buy), which is more accurate to the film. It just feels like that with the Onyx Cinder, being early concept art playset.
Love this review! I know you didn't know much about the show or the actual ship but the speculation and guesswork made this an interesting review. Felt like it freed you up to just look at the set for fun, display, and the set itself! Great review
This ship looks awesome and really cool and thoughtful interior space. The general sitting area is also purpsoed as a lounge with a resting bunk to take turns and a cargo area in the back. Then throw in a usuable cockpit and this ship really is above many others.
He comes out with these reviews so early the Lego lawyers about knock on door 😂. Just make sure protect your plug so don’t ruin them. Thanks for reviews though!
Amazing dedication right there that you were able to get this set SO early. I'm really interested in this set purely because of the awesome build and its interesting angles, like I was for the Resistance I-TS Transport (Galaxy's Edge) Again, I've seen people complain that this set and the Dark Falcon shouldn't have taken up spots as the largest mainline sets of the year, which just shows there isn't pleasing some people - the same people who complain about getting remakes of starfighters and stuff, who are now complaining about new offerings from Lego Star Wars.
This set looks to be up there with the rogue one u-wing for features and articulating features and visual appealing.Really hoping the show lives up to the hype.
i will say that i am intrigued by KB, now, it could be just a visor/sunglasses that a space teen would wear (the smirk from the figure makes me think it's just something a space teen would wear), but with the dname, it could also be a name for a cyborg, which is something the various shows have never dealt with (except for all the jedi/sith with robot hands)....that would be true cyborgs, like Lobot the ortolan figues eyes look out of place, it could be they are very young, but it feels like the face for a 4+ playset, still seeing it up close, it does look good Jude Law's figure is holding a space flint lock or a space blunderbuss....or the kind of weapon the Jawa's shot at R2 to short circuit him
Great review. Hopefully the mold on the little Ortolan means there's a new Max Rebo mold coming with that rumored UCS sail barge. I like the "Jod" Law minifig. The scarf and microphone does look like he is about to bust out in a musical theater number. Hopefully that's not part of the plot. Great chatting with you in OBC the other day.
