The scratches on Ezra's face are actually lightsaber scars when the Grand Inquisitor threw his lightsaber at a much younger Ezra, he deflected it with Kanan's lightsaber, but unfortunately got those two cuts on his face and luckily fell onto a walkway below
The lack of pupils is the dumbest design choice ever and makes the characters look undisputably worse. I haven't heard anyone say they like that design. It's makes characters look completely GOOGELY-EYED and I've hated it since the Hera microfighter from like 6 years ago. Completely stupid.
Bro lack of pupils is the best decision ever, makes figures look good together. With the pupils it reminds me of the Avatar sets where the avatar figures dont match the lego style. People who like the pupils are honestly so delusional and stupid
The reason the previous Thrawn has the wrong badge is because Lego and others were given concept art where that was the correct badge. One of the ideas they had was Thrawn being promoted to Grand Admiral over the course of the events of the show. That idea was scrapped, but Hasbro and Lego had already started production with the outdated information.
Code cylinder feels like a deliberate choice. Old Thrawn's cylinders are more accurate but new Thrawn's are more detailed. I guess it is a matter of preference, but I do personally prefer the single cylinders for that added detail and such a minor inaccuracy really doesn't bother me.
To have them that detailed and smaller would be near impossible to print on a production scale. I think people need to realise the going purely for realism does not always give the best results.
@@InsightfulUndercurrentsExactly. It’s a Lego figure and is stylised as such. Complaints about minor things like this reminds me of the silly complaints about Captain Rex’s ammo pouch being too big. If people want realism then buy a Black Series figure.

Another great review Ryan! 9 out of 10. Your commentary on minifig quality and selection is on point, as usual. The lack of prints, in favor of stickers is always an important "sticking point" to bring up, so thanks for that (and for the tip about placement/alignment). Why can’t u just have a little bit of self control and self respect, and just don’t buy it, when you buy it Lego will carry on adding exclusive minifigures to shitty sets so people will buy them
Glad the Ezra minifigure looks a bit better in person than on the box, still not the perfect skin tone looking at pictures from the show. But much more accurate than on the promo pictures/packaging, defiantly considering to pick this set up now because of how good all the figures look imo.
Could Captain Enoch come in a future battlepack with 3 more zombie night troopers? Lego has done unique helmet moulds and named characters in battlepacks before
Possibly even more nefariously, you're only going to buy one Captain Enoch, but people will probably army build zombie troopers... and who happens to own Bricklink?
4:55 ok I’ve never watched the show and I don’t know who this Ezra guy is. But you hit the nail on the head with the eyes. Before you told me he wasn’t blind I 100% thought he was blind. And you’re right I didn’t notice it at all with the other figures. But that design of eye doesn’t suit humans at all. For more alien/cartoon looking characters it’s fine but I thought this guy was a blind Kanan too.
Such a shame lego couldn't just release Thraw's minifig individually in a polybag, after all lego said they can't do that with minifigs and I'm sure they'd never lie about that.
You just know people are gonna sell custom print packs for those 12 grey plates with yellow lines actually printed on them. Why couldn't you just print it Lego, its one print 8 times, and one 4 times, its not like we're expecting 12 different prints. Also if this is envisioned as a play set for kids, then the floor stickers would get damaged through play, and the set should have prints there by Lego's own standards
I actually like everything about the new Ezra figure, even the blue eyes I'm expecting Enoch to show up in a set similar to 75324 Dark Trooper Attack , with one named character (of course, Enoch) and three more Night Troopers, perhaps with some minor difference in prints. We've seen this before with a single Dark Trooper appearing in the Imperial Light Cruiser, and then appearing in the next wave in a larger quantity
The grey stickers look like little roads, I can’t get over that! Let’s face it we’ll buy this for the Minifigs (aka THRAWN!! 🤤) It looks great with them all displayed.
Would no Enoch than a botched/half assed one tbh. There is part of me that hopes (copes) they'll bring out another Ahsoka set that will feature more Night Troopers with differing variations, which *might* have Enoch in it? even if it's just a battlepack+ of sorts.
Grand Admiral Thrawn mini fig looks so much better now than that Rebels TV Show Phantom set one. The dual moulded legs and the correct insignia really help it to be so. I think the reason for the incorrect code cylinders on him is because it might be too scrunched up. I still respect the set/mini fig designers for that choice. Would have been cool to have the correct code cylinders though.
If they are going to use stickers on any set it should simply be clear stickers. So for this set simply put a yellow stripe on a clear sticker. That way don't have to worry about the color tiles not matching. Not sure why it's so difficult. I literally took an Xacto knife and cut out the stickers for the UCS Razorcrest because I couldn't stand for the greys to be so far off. Was a pain but turned out looking much nicer.
I understand the complaint, however lego mini figures (aside from sith and the clone wars characters) never had pupils, it’s just a black eye with a white highlight. and also the colour eye has been on many figures for quite awhile now to show noticeable eye colour in live action media. Such as Bariss, Lloyd from ninjago, the Jedi from the tall circle droid from 2013, and many others. I feel the blue eyes are accurate on the lego guy as they were just a noticeable (off putting) as they were in the show. If anything don’t critique the lego, critique the poor use of bright contacts in new Star Wars media.
I was shocked when I saw Thrawn available in a set at this price point. I still think it’s overpriced, but I was fully expecting Lego to make him exclusive to a $300 Chimaera set, and given Filoni is probably going to use the ship in his projects, that’s probably still going to be the case down the road. Think they’ll eventually release that and make Enoch exclusive to it or have them release a battle pack with more Nighttroopers plus Enoch?
