R.L. Burnside is KING! True artist making the true music!
Enjoying this deep deep groove of Burnside to start '23! Aint no sin to drink the gin!
This is light years in front of Music appreciation. I am at a loss for words.
R.L Burnside my musical hero! On fire in the 90s.
He was already on fire in the 60s
His drummer (and son in law) Calvin Jackson, moved to the Netherlands somewhere in the very early ‘90 and Burnside flew over from time to time. His Dutch agent happened to be from my home town (Oss, in the province of Noord Brabant). So one day (Queens day if I remember correctly) there was Burnside and his band playing outside a local bar. This was just before he was (again) rediscovered, in 1991-1992. Had a few beers with him and bought his cd "Bad Luck City" (which he and Calvin signed). Few years later Burnside was the main act at the "Blues Estafette" in Utrecht.
All were lucky basterds to be here that day. Beautiful concert
I love this man and his music.

SWEET!!! JOHN beckley Morrris turned me on to this!!! You ROCK!!
This is sweet! Thanks for the post Dutchjdh. Also the day before R.L.s 67th birthday!

What pub was it?
Does anyone know what the pub was called?
I don't know the name anymore but it was in the Spaarndammerstraat in Amsterdam
@@dutchjdenhollander3232 thank you 😊
Oh my god....how can someone be clearly out of tune and sound like this...RLB can!
Junior kimbrough playing sounds as he is in out of tune, microtonal guitar tuning but sounds so on point at the same time!
Blues es así ¡'no es la perfección como los slide no son lo más, pero suenan al oído de 10!!!
True perfection ultimately has to be imperfect this guy has the raw talent and soul, tuning up is trivial shit when you can channel the blues like this. Music is over produced and polished these days, if you ain't got it with just a geetar and your voice you ain't actually got shit, production is relied on too much now days, you can't polish a turd anyhow which is what seems to be popular these days. Stop listening to overpriced commercial stuff, they've convinced folks that it has to be a certain way but this guy shows that it don't
It’s an art form and the secret recipe to making original blues and that’s what he’s trying to show you. I mean by gosh, the man isn’t stupid. He could tune up perfectly. He could have a band ,three-piece behind him lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, the works, and it just wouldn’t be the same.. just give him a shitty Kmart, special guitar busted amp and a couple bottles of beer and watch magic happen
@@autumnsphere7581 yeah, I like Junior Kimbrough as well and a lot-he´s great
