These guys got me clapping my hands at home though. I think most of the time I find it's harder to clap for someone when watching a video or just listening to someone's music especially when I'm chillin on my own in the early hours of a morning. Maybe it's just me though, I might dance or sing, tap my foot or nod my head to many tracks but before now I've found clapping and applause to only find context as communication based social construct. So I really think I gotta give this man more respect for changing my view. Idk how but it actually changed my mood entirely & I feel I heard the music better than when I dance, sing and etc lol 😎

Recently I saw him in a German documentary about the Mississippi River. He was 13 and already played with his band in a blues club! The kid on the bass guitar was about as tall as his instrument. Didn‘t know Christone had started THAT early. Awesome.

@@jocbrown I am the sound engineer on this. It was recorded at the tail end of a whole year that the club was shut down because of COVID. So we made a lot of videos to fill in the gap. Very lucky that Christone wanted to do a whole hour for his birthday! We're very lucky to have many brilliant musicians like him and many others who grace our stage.

the breakdown from 11:11 onward is a masterclass in tone color and emotion. you'll never be a great player without these qualities. the fastest and most technical guitar shredder in the world is simply boring and uninspiring next to Kingfish... don't show me fancy tricks. don't show me how fast you can run up and down a pentatonic scale... SHOW ME YOUR SOUL!
that is what i call making the guitar sing, my favorite guitarists that do this are Santana, mark tremonti, slash, and Jimi Hendrix. of course i can now add Christone Kingfish ingram to the list as well.
