Wow this is actually very informative. Thanks. Was heavily considering a vit-c serum, but i haven't had good results with them before so i decided to do some research before investing again. Glad i found this. Personally, every time I've used a vit c serum or vit c contianing product, I've had the opposite result of what it's supposed to do. So i always ended up with worse looking spots and pigmentation. I was really confused so i decided to google and turns out im not alone.

Yeah I use a cosmedical brand called Dr Aspect which is sold at cosmetic surgery clinic and I use vitamin C serum during the day and vitamin A (retinol) at night and my skin is the best it’s ever been to be honest . I’m thinking now it could be the retinol and not the vit C

Loved this! And you’re great!! I was thrilled to hear your assessment as I have heard something similar from a couple of other YTers that sounded pretty convincing due to studies they referenced regarding topical vitamin C. I personally was on the Skinceuticals product for over two years and never really saw any improvements, plus it stung and was expensive. 😆 However I eat pretty well, so there’s that. Keep up the good work! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Yes! I love ingredient highlights like this, it helps me have a better idea of what actually works as I shop for products! If you’d have the time and ability, I’d love to see a series on debunking any ingredients (especially “natural” ones) that are advertised to have certain benefits but actually may have little or no impact on the skin. Thank you for your videos! 💕💕

I like to use Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, solely for its acne benefits. As well as personal experience, I've seen some studies attesting to this but like you said, there's not nearly as much research on the vit c derivatives. Hopefully, there'll be more in the future!

Honestly, I try to avoid buying products with vitamin C for this reason. It does limit my range of options when choosing skin brightning products but like you said it's not the only option when it comes to skin brightening😊 also they can be a tad on the pricey side so I'm glad I'm not wasting money on false marketing claims made by big companies

As a broke as bitch whos obsessed with skin care, thank you. Thank you for educating me on skin care so i know what I need and what i dont need. My 3 year old son has a brain tumor so im not working right now until i get his health sorted. Your videos have helped me learn about products i don't actually need, and what i do need. Just from the few you've posted so far. I was about to buy an expensive vitamin c serum and I'm really glad I saved the money. I also loved your videos about Jaclyn's lipsticks. I had no idea expired lipsticks could have such dangerous things inside them. Also your channel has helped keep my mind off of the horrible things im going through right now. Thank you. You've inspired me to go back to school and pursue my passion to be an esthtician. Love you Kenna 💜
