mt drea mtank is probably an Oscar tank with one Oscar of every morph just like your thumbnail in it along with some other CA cichlids like uaru, choclate , true arrot etc

oh that would be awesome! I feel like eventually I might do a mixed Oscar tank but I just love the natural/wild ones too much for the moment haha.

Great video! I can relate to a silver coloured fish being killed by them…. They killed my leichardti 😢. Also scientific species names are written in lower case with the genus in capitals 😊

Thank you so much! What's crazy here is I had the exact same situation when these oscars were much smaller, after purchasing a new leichardti and adding it to the tank the oscars pretty much destroyed it in 1 hour which I didn't expect at all. They also tried to have a go at a pair of barramundi I purchased that were much larger than them, luckily I was able to pull the Barra out in time!

Love oscars they were one of my first fish.Little story i went away for a couple of days over a weekend only to return home and found one of my Oscars on the floor. He had knock off a 6mm glass lid from the tank and landed on the floor. He was covered in dirt and hair and crusty.I thought he was dead but i threw him in the tank and he kicked.Within a couple of hours he was swimming.I n a couple of days he was eating again.

Hahaha that is so cool! I actually had a similar situation a few years back when I had a small Oscar basically spook itself and nosedive into the sand and wedge itself under a rock. I was doing a water change and freaked out after I couldn't find the Oscar. Must have spent 5 minutes searching for it until I saw the tiniest bit of tail stick out of the sand.
I still don't comprehend how but it managed to bury itself fully in the sand haha!

Great that you tell people that short body fish are deformed and should not be purchased ❤

Thank you! I think it's worth the mention just to save people from getting a fish that'll live life in poor health. Less people buy them, the less they are bred.
