At this point I think BMTH could create a banger album just by rolling like 3 random genres for each song. Which is scary to be honest. But I'm here for it.
@@carljthatsme94 no, he said that there are other heavier songs in this EP, but they're saving most of them for PH4 which will be Deathcore according to Oli's PH4 playlist and Jordan saying they're saving the really heavy songs for PH4

it's like a crossover between Metro Station - 'Shake it' and Sophie's hyperpop vibes going harder into it with some solid vocal interpolations from the MCR's finest choruses! It's brilliant! Catching you on the go and never looses!
I'm a big BMTH fan, and I love this song. I like a lot how they mixed pop punk, emo, hyperpop and metalcore in this one. I think it's a song that can be listened and liked by anyone, and I love that. I'm really happy how they keep experimenting, and how their song still keep their signature even being different genres.
About "closing the eyes to hear better" part, our certain instincts do enhance when we lose one of our instincts. Closing eyes means you block out any visual distraction, for example you try to listen to someone and a car goes by and your attention goes to that car's engine noise.
The reason it reminds you of MCR is that the "Whyyyy am iiiii this wayyyy" totally sounds like "I'm nooooot okayyyy" by MCR rhythm/ melodywise and of course also because of the same sound at the end of the sentence. 😄 Also Oli's voice sounds quite similar to Gerard Way's voice in this song i think. 🤔 Love their new sound though! ❤ I think it's amazing! 🎉 During my late teens and my early twenties i used to be able to listen to death metal/ death core and even some black metal without batting an eye, but nowadays i must really say i'm not into bands/ singers that only scream/ growl in their songs anymore. I still like some good screams/ growls and heavy guitar/ drum action in a song, but it has to be mixed with some quality clean vocals and some more melodic/ intricate instrumental sections...and i also focus a lot on beautiful/ impactful lyrics. That's why i love Bands like Spiritbox, Jinjer, Sleep Token, Bad Omens, Epica, some of Falling in Reverse's stuff, Linkin Park of course and BMTH. I just really love it when Metal/ Metalcore or even Punk/ Emo is masterfully blended with other genres...be it Pop, Rap, RnB, Jazz, Reggae...if it's done the right way it sounds phenomenal in my opinion. 😍 Also i had a really intense and long punk/emo/gothic "phase" and still definitely am a punk/ goth sprinkled with a little emo at heart (and honestly appearance wise also 😂🖤) So yeah...BMTH's new sound really is the perfect mix of 2000's nostalgia and modern emo/ punk to me and i love it. 😊❤️🔥 Edit: Wanted to also mention that i suffer from a social anxiety disorder and depressions, so i can relate to the lyrics A LOT!!!
Aight lads, I'm gonna deep this one, if that's not your bag, that's calm. Ive been referring to this newer "modern emo" genre thats been emerging as "NuPunk" because it combines elements of NuMetal (Metal crossed with hiphop) with elements of EmoTrap (PopPunk/Emo crossed with Trap, which itself shares elements with dubstep and hyperpop influenced by Metal), both of which are already mush-up genres that combine elements of other more straightforward genres
