Did they relearn the complete airflow path with Xentry? Had one that gave me headaches once, giving all sorts of plausibilty and flow codes. Relearned all inlet components and car has been running fine ever since.
Have you managed to get a solution on this fault Steve?
Thanks for sharing Steve... Cheers.
On the top front right corner of the engine where the egr cooler is, the black plastic rod for the egr bypass flap, there's the exhaust back pressure sensor, take that out and make sure the hole isn't blocked up with soot.
That can cause egr and maf flow rate faults.
Also check the turbo rods for seizing up or not pulling in due to a poor vacuum system (leak) as that can cause egr flow rate issues.
Also check the O2 sensor as they can fault but stay within spec so no faults show for it but that causes egr flow faults as well, the only reason the 651 has the O2 sensor is for controlling the egr flow rate.
Awesome John 👍
Hello mate, did you ever find a fix for this issue?
We’ve exactly the same issue with a 2012 b class?
There’s a technical topic about this to check the clean air chamber between the air filter housing & turbo which can break causing this code on a 651.930 CDID3 engine if damage is found the turbo is to be checked for damaged impeller
Awesome mate 👍
Got an infinity here with the merc 2.2 engine with exact same fault. Air mass doesn’t kick in for about 30 seconds. Did you ever get to the bottom of this fault Steve?
👍
might want to scope egr sensor too. is the computer actually reporting what its seeing or is it substituted or glitched
Done that mate 👍
@@SimplyDiagnostics will be interesting to hear where this one goes
Waiting the update news for this code. 👍
intake restrictions been checked and turbo operation
when it comes back is it actual or substituted value Steve.
Actual value that changes when intake is restricted 👍
@@SimplyDiagnostics did ya get to the bottom of this one Steve
No mate, ongoing. Currently in full rabbit hole avoidance mode.
@@SimplyDiagnostics enough said lol
This one has me thinking @justin I'm having to be really careful about this diagnosis. What I should have done was get it over to my house for the holiday weekend and some testing. So many variables, new MAF, EGR etc, I don't want to add to that list.
Presumably they adapted the new egr valve ?
All applicable adaptions and tech in procedures have been completed 👍
What are dpf pressures looking like ? Does it have a temp sensor on the egr?
Great questions, pressures are good 4mb, no temp sensor on Egr
Oh and throttle body ok . O2 sensor ok
What was the fix?
None yet Mike 👍
Money pit , modern cars Steve , a pain in the bum
