I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I would give anything in the world to play golf with my dad (11 handicap) Rick and Richard. Rick for the insight, Richard for the banter and beers, and my dad because I love the old boy!

Is it just me or would it be side-splittingly hilarious to watch the trio do a round of golf - pranking each other and cracking hilarious jokes as they hack up the course.
Clarkson would never play golf willingly, tricking him onto the golf course would be an episode in itself.

Hammond is one of my favorite people on earth. He is very genuine. What you have shown him is another future passion. You can tell that you lived teaching him and he loved learning. Absolute fantastic content.

I'm 39 and have never "played". I took my dad's clubs to the driving range as a kid but now I'm using Ricks vids as a guide. Thanks man!!!
I know exactly what Richard means when he talks about loving something you never though you would. I started playing 6 weeks ago and I can't get enough of it! I'm just gutted I didn't start sooner!

This is so great! I remember on The Grand Tour when Hamster brought up that he'd taken a couple lessons and enjoyed it but this is the crossover I never expected to see however many years later! Cool to see he has a solid technique, get his feet moving a little and he could have a real solid game I reckon.

Thanks for uploading this Rick. I had an injury recently and was nervous about hitting the range, but when Hammond says that you don’t even need to play, just hitting balls is fun it made me want to go hit the range again. Thanks again Rick
Richard is like me when I discovered golf back in 2010 at the age of 38. I got addicted really fast and loving it. I always tell everybody that it is one of the few sports in the world, which you can start at any age, with any shape and play it till you die. All this, by being outside in the nature and walking (or riding a golf cart). Oh, and this is the hardest sport in the word to master, nobody is perfect, the game of who misses less. ;)

Along with you, Richard is one of my favorite guys to watch.
It's like tuning a fine instrument, one little tweak at a time until the notes sound as they should. Adjust the grip just a touch, get the back foot turning and back knee moving towards the front knee just alittle and the results instantly got better. Nice lesson.
As I get older I find new things added to my bucket list. That years ago weren't even on my radar. And much of this is all due to RUclips. My new top 10 in my bucket list, Deer hunt with Ted Nugent, Visit the Great wall of China, Wales watching in Alaska, spending the day at the range and golf course with Rick , visiting Perl Harbor, and the ww2 memorial in Normandy France, riding backseat in a f16, going deep sea fishing for swordfish, meeting the Good Good boys,
Always the same. When the teacher is good enough to bring out the excitement of improvement the student gets eager to learn more. Well done Rick Shiels!

I call my clubs "Golfist Bats" because of Top Gear.
My dad was a huge car guy. Built a rocket car in the 70's. Built a hatchback for our family in the 80's (also built a folding boat). Built 2 street rods that were all original. He loved Benny Hill / British Humor, and obviously, cars.
It's a great shame I didn't find Top Gear until after he passed away. Besides a hug, and meeting my wife and kids, the thing I'd most want to do with my dad is watch the Vietnam special of Top Gear. Along with the Ascari A10 test drive. And the Amphibious episodes. But I digress.

Right. THIS should be an ongoing series. You can either do matches with a massive handicap, which is fine... OR... I would suggest doing a 2-man scramble, so that Richard must attempt every shot you do, and hear what you're thinking for each shot, club choice rationale, and SEE what he needs to emulate in each type of shot situation. The (beginning) goal is to use 3 of his shots in a round. I have spoken.
