Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel! This RUclips channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf equipment reviews, golf instruction & I play against some of the best golfers in the world!
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
Gotta have an old bluey montage 😅 deserves a hero's send off
will never forget that one out of the bunker in Spain, I think he was playing with Pete
Absolutely. It should then either hang on the wall in the Podcast studio / HIT Studio. Or, maybe it can be auctioned off for charity.
The montage should just be him topping it on a loop lol. The views would be incredible
I second this idea.
And then to finish off he needs to send it in a rocket, or shove it in a woodchipper or something big, ostentatious and epic!
Amen to the montage, needs to be done. The club will be missed.
I’ve got a new slogan for your putter headcovers
“I’d love to chip this, but…”
Still can’t putt anyway
@@TheNasher10 He loses 10 shots around due to his "putting".
It is fun watching you when you refuse to give up and don’t get mad. Keep it up Rick
Lose the Darkspeed and put the G430 10K in the bag. The only distance you’re gaining is hitting it further into trouble.
I'd suggest he sticks the Sim Max 2 in the bag that he tested a few weeks ago.......he simply needs to use what works for him.
lol its funny how you know absolutely nothing about equipment yet you feel the need to make this comment. come back when you've broken 95 lil guy
Nuh uh
@@williamv.schulz851 What a troll thing to say to someone you don’t even know. FYI - I’m a 4 handicap. Not the greatest I know, but not bad for a 54 year old guy who only gets out a couple times a week.
Well that was uncalled for
Rick facing a severe downhill lie on the fringe from 40 feet on the first hole with putter in hand, "I see no reason for backspin or a quick stop." Blows it ten feet past the hole. Never change Rick Shiels, never change... I almost cried laughing.
😂😂😂 ffs
I'd probably play a putter too.
Would a super spinney chip have a better result? Maybe. If you're really confident in the lie and your skill. But I'm not that good at chipping to do it reliably... and neither is Rick. The downside of that shot is that you skull it past the green.
It was 100% the right shot for his skillset.
@@A1BASE agreed, putter was still a smart play here. It actually stopped pretty close for a short sided shot.
@@A1BASE You're not spinning a 3 yard carry out of thick rough lol
Putter was the right call, though he did put too much on it. Very difficult putt to have to attempt, for sure, but I'm not sure how anyone not named Phil looks at that and thinks they can stop a wedge.
Surprised Rick isn't playing the Ping G430 Max 10K. Seems so long and forgiving. Best of both worlds.
I don't get why he always uses the least forgiving driver he can get his hands on when he's that bad off the tee
Rick is still hooking drives and fluffing chips! 🙄
@@Lil-ik3kh huh? 🤷🏻♂️ His last driver was a Ping G425.
I have the g430 max 10k and it’s definitely not long. I lost about 15 yards off my average drive distance with my old sim2. Now I’m playing a Tsr2 and it’s the longest out of the 3 for me. All with the same hzrdus black shaft
That was a tough day. The conditions were not ideal for sure. I felt your pain, having trouble finding the fairway. It is so hard to score well when you’re scrambling so much. You will master those new Wilson’s in no time.
This video reminds that not everything on youtube or the golf course is perfect. This is real golf. 8's happen, wind happens, mishits happen, but a lot of good shots as well.
That’s basically how me and my cousins are when we golf. I just started going with them and we’re all ass but we have fun lol and we get hyped when we all got some good shots lmao
Love this! "Driver has been getting me in trouble all day"....last hole...."just going to rip it with the driver" 🤣
Now that's proper golf - a great links course, scraggy rough, wind and rain. Perfect. Credit to you Rick for reminding us that even good golfers (yes, that's you!) struggle in adverse conditions - but the love of the game is still there! BTW grab the Wilson woods - you won't regret it.
are you a golfer ?
@@Olivia-nc4wh Sure. The real joy for me in golf is the contest between yourself and the course with nature's elements. Best day at golf - stormy day, wind off the Indian Ocean , intermittent rain squalls on a true links course (The Cut in Western Australia). On with the weather gear and out with the 2 iron - and nobody else in sight 😂😂. Three over par.Bliss. Cape Wickham on King Island was pretty cool too!
@@GralphW oh , you are from Australia ? i'm still beginner and still learning about golf . sounds like you are a professional and wish i can learn a lot from you .
@@Olivia-nc4wh Excellent! Golfers share their frustrations and experiences that builds many strong and lasting friendships. Rick really personifies so much of what golf is about, and it's why we love him😊 My son is a professional. He had 37 stable ford points off plus 2 handicap on Wednesday, I had 38 but my daughter beat us all with 39 points. If ever in Perth Western Australia call into The Vines Resort and ask for Greg Willson😊
Break 75 is by far my favourite golf content online. I'm 66 years old, been playing 3 years and would LOVE to challenge Rick around my home course.
And the Bag will be changed out in a months time 🤣
I see old Bluey making a return before anything else changes. 😂
To be fair, I'm sure Vessel sends him a lot of bags as they come out with new designs.
33:00 the person in the bunker. We've all been there 😂
Wilson staff is finally getting the respect they deserve
Wilson used to be the largest golfing brand in the world tho, they allways made good clubs. but bat at branding
I play the d9 forged before that it was the c200 irons
@@samuelmillers5709 I also play Wilson D9 forged, absolutely love them.
I play with the Pi5's and before them I had a set of Fatshafts.
Top end Wilson Staff had always been respected by anyone with any amount of golf nous.
I was going to say your driver was what let you down. I’m glad you realize that. I think the irons and putter are a great choices for you. Good video.👍
Yep, let's blame the club rather than the fact that like all of us when he tries to swing fast he loses control. A drive 10-20 yards shorter which is on the fairway is far more beneficial that bombing one out of bounds. I started watching Rick for his coaching and tips but it seems now he needs to watch some of his own early videos.
21:59 John Rahm made an 8 and still won the masters!!! Pick your head up and keep trucking!!!
Great mindset, gotta remind myself of this too.
No he didn’t. He made a 6 on his 1st hole the year he won. Maybe that’s what your thinking of
You mean at some point in his career? ESPN shows nothing higher than two 6’s (bogey, double bogey) when he won the 2023 Masters.
I already commented, but after reading some of the comments what's wrong with people? The negativity is crazy. No lie, this man literally helped some of us get through a GLOBAL PANDEMIC with his content. How soon we forget. If you don't like him, don't watch, but don't just come here to be negative. I know all the views and comments help him, but damn.
Keyboard gangsters.
Keep grinding Ricky! You're appreciated in my household!
Well said.
I agree. Bunch of haters
@@stabilis8895 he broke 60 at Augusta, and Bay Hill. I’d say he is darned decent.
@@stabilis8895 Rick was on fire! Not sure if they were course records, and it wasn’t a sanctioned PGA event, it he lit it up those rounds.
@@stabilis8895 no I’m joking. I agree with what Robert says, and Rick seems like a decent guy, although wish he wouldn’t swear. As for ego, yes I will agree with you there, and too many times it has him making bad choices. He played great withose Elevens,…why would the put those in the bag, and go back to his old ping driver…ego?….maybe. Have fun and enjoy your golf game sir👍
I don’t think it’s the clubs Rick tbh
Definitely not 🫣
Brilliant 😂
It isn’t he needs to take his medicine some holes. When he’s 250 out and he thinks he’s going to fly it to the hole instead of taking that 150 shot and an easy 3rd shot. It’s when he thinks he can reach it he ends up burning himself.
he honestly needs to get rid of half those clubs and try again. they aren’t forgiving in the slightest
I love when you guys talk crap and a three wood he hits 250 can barely make 190 cause the wind and he’s 4 over with 3 left. You’re kidding yourself if these clubs didn’t perform amazingly.
Glad that the HIT channel has been back. I was concerned for a while that it may be neglected after such a short rub. Keep it up! I'd love to see some wacky clubs tested there, maybe some wood putters vs modern putters, crazy club designs, and wild driver claims. Can't wait to see more!
Love how positive you are with yourself now, hard work paying off 👍🏼
Rick should team up with Arccos, always seems like he misjudges how far he hits it, or how much the wind affects shots - helped me a ton when I started using it
15:15 For a moment, I thought you were gonna grab the putter... 🤣
I took notes. That driver got you in trouble on 5 holes (twice on the quad hole), but is didn't see any instances where the extra 10-20 yeards gained a shot. You also short sided yourself from bad shots 3 times resulting in a dropped shot and underclubbed 2-3 times resulting in a dropped shot but the wind wasn't helping here. Get a driver you can hit and make some better course management choices and you'll break 75 easily.
Hole 1
Bogey from short siding after thinning approach shot
Hole 2
Bogey from failing to up and down after short sided
Hole 3

Hole 5
Up and down for par
Hole 6
Quad. OB drive, 3rd shot into fairway bunker (should have hit 3 wood off tee) which fell too short for realistic up and down

Scott fawcett always says "if you're not shooting what you think you should be, you're not as good as you think you are or you're making bad decisions"
@@robertcourt8593 sounds a bout right. I think here Rick has the skill of a scratch golfer but makes plays like he has tour pro skill.
My Friday is complete ! Time to enjoy rick breaking 75!!
Bad news for ya mate 😂
First time on this channel?
Love to see Wilson gear out there finally! Getting the respect they deserve 👍🏼
Have to say that the addition of the GUR sign in the bag worked wonders today
🤣😂🤣😂
Just needs to add a red stake to his bag to cut a few more shots off the scorecard 😂😂#noO.O.B.again🥳
Should do a series where someone takes you out and talks you through course management. Feel like it would massively help pre open qualifying. Just bombing driving every hole doesn’t seem to work all that well atm.
Can't wait for 49 minutes of Rick blaming the club after every ropey shot😂😂😂.
You’re in for a treat then mate
Great video again rick thanks for the opportunity
I’ve always found it so weird that I can watch a video, see someone’s aim/line and say that it needs to be more left/right and be correct 80% of the time as a viewer.
However on the course those reads turn to mud because it’s so hard to trust what you’ve read and it gets in the back of your mind and you push or pull, hit it short or long etc.
I guess my point is (as someone who is NOT good at putting) is that it seems easy to read when you watch someone else do it but almost impossible trusting the read for yourself.
We watch these videos and judge so much and the way they sometimes go probably make us feel a lot better about ourselves, but; we should all realise that this game is so difficult and watching and judging with no pressure is so much easier than even hitting a 5 footer with your friend, and, I love that it’s the same for everyone.
Great video, thank you.
I respect the fact that you showed that 8. Would have been easy to not show the first tee shot or take an extra try at the bunker shot. For a 16 handicapper it feels good to know that even RICK SHIELS puts up a snowman every now and then.
Liked the stats graphics halfway through, really good insight! Great vid as always!!
Would’ve been good to update the stats for the full round too.
Too bad they seemed to be wrong…how did he average 0.55 putts? I didn’t count it but it must have been 1.55 surely?
I enjoy Rick’s videos a lot but there are quite often errors with the graphics…
The comedic genius of the content script writers is absolutely brilliant. Unmatched. I got a gorgeous Taylormade driver here. I am really going to enjoy hitting hit. "Fooore right" as guests desperately scramble for shelter. 😊
Respect for showing hole #6. I feel like there’s a couple major RUclips golf channels that take quite a bit of liberty with their lies, drops, and mishits (not naming names).
I’m a bit of a Ping fan, so this may be a bit biased, but I think a couple of Ping clubs might be the answer for you. 1. The 10k max. Finch seems to love it. 2. Don’t laugh, but a Chipr might do you a world of good. You’ve got a lot of confidence with your putting off of the green, and the Chipr gives you more of a putting feel with just enough loft to get you over some rough areas. However, I know ego keeps the Chipr out of many bags, much like people choosing MBs when CBs might help them more.
Regardless, I’m a terrible golfer anyways, so my opinion means nothing lol 😂
Always enjoy your videos Rick, keep up the great content!
Side* * * *
Finch also quit the Cobra and switched to the Ping G430 Max 10K.
Yes! He put the Wilson's CBs (you said MBs) in the BAG!!! Finally dude. Needs to ditch the Cobra though Rick, fact is you just cant hit it consistent enough. It KILLED your score man, fairways!! Even if you lose 20 yards mate. Your iron play set you up for those birdie chances today, really good (when you didnt hit it too clean). I agree the Driver is the issue my pal.
States "I'm going to chip more this round." Proceeds to putt from off the green on the first two holes.
Agreed, his chipping is better than his putting sometimes. Look at that chip he did with Ruffels
100% was the right choice when he mentioned it. Too much risk chipping that much downhill.
@@blue24563 not on the second hole it wasn’t at all
Great production; I dig the stat share after 9 holes. Rick, remember we love you for so much more than the score you shoot. Cheers from Jaxon Golf Shop in Somerville, MA.
Ditch that Cobra, Rick, Hit the Ping straight and save all those strokes. Speed isn't everything. Great content!!
You know something Rick I love watching you lad started my own channel because of you I watch everything you do I’m always cheering you on 👍👍👍💯🙂great to watch great personality great at golf I know you have your tough patches but that’s golf but on the whole you are awesome believe in yourself a bit more brother👍👍👍💯you are the GOAT of RUclips golf the OG 👍keep being you never change and maybe one day if I’m lucky I’ll see you on the course respect buddy
It wasn’t that long ago when you use to pipe driver with a draw. Whenever we would talk about your game it was always complementary to your driving. Going with the Wilson theme I remember you loving the Dynapower in the test..
I love that he’s wearing the Cabot hat! Still astonished you come down to my little town and golfed that course!
Please put in the description or in the front of video when this was filmed. We don’t know if this is Rick from last week or from 6 months ago or from one year ago. Thanks!
Its from somtime this week, break 75 somtime between May 13th - 16th posed an hour ago.
You're welcome.
You can tell by Ricks attitude towards bad shots. Angry Rick = 6 months ago, Positive Rick = recent
If you have to ask this question your not a fan just shut up and enjoy the video
The new clubs are a clue
@@mikebravo3527is this a guess or are you on Rick’s staff? I believe you, just curious. Thanks!
Your transparency on these videos is so fresh, love this type of content.
6 over with the way that driver behaved isn’t bad at all. what would improve the break 75 series for me, is if Rick took himself to see Mr. Ian Fraser in Toronto for a full driver fitting. break 75 would become a cake walk
There isn't a driver on the planet that can salvage some of those swings
Watching Rick count his 8 is why amateur golfers love these videos😂💪
Rick have been watching you for years now & one thing I realise is you make things very difficult for yourself. Shorter par 4s not needing to hit driver hit irons instead & keep it in play! The quad hole a great example! All the best bud love the videos 👌🏽
Thought exactly the same thing. Course management
So true, I feel like he sees the birdie sauce animations while he is on the tee and then ends up hitting a bad shot and always trying to catch up from there making more silly shot choices.
Instead of increasing your swing speed for longer distance we need to focus on hitting the ball straight down the fairway and avoiding trouble. Course management so important one would think.
It's England in spring time. The fact that you are outdoors is an achievement in itself.
Would love to see Rick get a fitting with the TXG guys to really dial in his clubs. Also would be interesting to see a 5 wood instead of a 3 wood for Rick
If he does, I’ll be the first hand up to take the Staff CB’s off his hands! They are absolutely mint
I love you Rick but at 40:01 I couldn’t stop laughing about the look on your face 😂 you can just see the look of despair on your face
I am loving the look of the new Wilson’s.
would love to see a video where you discuss how you choose the specs and shafts of all your new clubs! thanks for the great content!
It’s crazy how he manages to find all those shots deep in to no man’s land and all playable 🤔😂
are you a golfer ?
Good to see the Wilson irons in the bag. One thought here......is it acceptable to go to another RUclips golf content provider for help? If so, Rick I think you need to watch Golf Sidekick for how to manage a course and play your shots to score better. No shame, he has amazing content. Very funny, very relatable and extremely valuable.
Love your vids Rick. Would you ever do a video with Pete Cowen? I feel like it would be super entertaining and I'd love to hear what he thinks of your swing
Your mental game has really improved Rick! Staying focused and optimistic enough to make three birdies in quick succession after a quad - might not have happened only a few years ago. Very much an inspiration for those bad holes we all get during a round!
Having recently watched Bryson DeChambeau playing with "a Kids Starter Set" and also his "3 club challenge" against yourself. Reminded me of what an old pro said to me over 30 years ago when I was thinking of spending a lot of money on new clubs. "You do know that that little white ball, has absolutely no idea what your about to hit it up the backside with, don't you"
as much as I like the guests and even Guy on break 75s, its nice to have just Rick sometimes and here him talk thru his game a little more
Rick stop being ridiculous, put old bluey back in the bag.
Lmao
21:00 that improved chipping demonstrated 😂
He seems to have forgotten everything he learned in that Dan Grieve lesson.
Dude just put up a 78 with a quad on his card, with new sticks and absolute shite weather. If you noticed, his cameramen were bundled up! Rick, Once you dial these in, you're gonna have a new series, Break 70!
140 yard sand wedge showed how strong the wind was Rick. I believe you normally hit that club about ~105 yds. As always, thanks for keeping it REAL.
Rick- Good drive needed.
*Also Rick- I'm going to hit this as hard as I can.
21:00 mate i did the exact same thing today so watching that makes me feel ALOT better haha.. it was my best round ever though
Bro there ain’t no way Rick is finding all these shots in the weeds. That stuff is thick with tons of bushes and he somehow finds it every single time? No way
Don't forget he's got a crew with him, watching and filming every ball
Hey Rick this is one of my favourite break 75’s. That wind was really strong, like the swirling wind at the PGA event I was watching last night. It plays havoc. I love how you keep going and I was willing you to do great and pick up those last few shots. Great mid round recovery. I’m playing in Wales today on a break so hope to use your determination in my game when it goes to pot, which it will.
Have you considered going to the standard 9 degree Darkspeed. I think the club is good for you but the LS might not be the one for you. I use the Aerojet and love it.
Cheers for the great viewing (isn’t it funny how the sad assholes come out to comment when things don’t go to plan. It’s like therapy to them to knock others to deflect from their own failings 😂😂)
Cheers
No golfer in history has said, “my contact was superb” after a greenside chip shot that you leave 15 foot short.
43:05 in the vid
I’m glad you called it out on the 17th, I’ve been wondering for a while how in a year where taylormade and ping have made such amazing forgiving drivers how you could go anywhere but those two brands
Leave the lob wedge in the bag and start pitching and chipping with your PW or 9i. I've seen you flub way too many wedges.
💯 Shot my best round the other day hitting every chip with PW - and that isn’t uncommon for me, both in terms of the principle and the outcome (love an up and down!). If you need to get over a bunker or other obstacle sometimes you need the loft, otherwise for most players the risks far outweigh their skill.
Has the TW spec grind too, kinda feel like a bit more bounce would do Rick some good, but what do I know?
You are such a talented golfer but watching you play hole 6 makes me feel much better seeing great golfers like yourself hitting silly shots I also make myself. Keep up the amazing content Rick 🤩
Wonder if Rick named his new putter “old rusty” 😂
11:19 that new swing though 👀🤗 looking long and powerful!
Great club selection apart from that driver for me. I'd try out the ping max , same as your 3 wood as going by others trying it it's VERY forgiven and u get plenty distance from it unlike the previous 2 max models
I was think they were bad choices. The clubs r good but there r much better options
Hes had problems with the driver for a while, inconsistent with the darkspeed for sure
Agree, the10k Ping might be a good choice. I would love to know what your fairways hit stat is.
What a wonderful hitter of long irons you are rick-kind of surprised you didn't go for the cb 2 iron-imagine your rollout and distance? Superb to see an accomplished golfer using wilson again, wilson are superb.
How does anyone find their ball in that kind of rough (hole 18)?? I've lost them in the second cut off the green.
Probably helps having a couple of folks with you on camera duty, one of whom can be down range when you tee off. There were a few shots in that round where most of us would never find the ball.
Have you had that putter re powdercoated??
It looks brand new again with no rust marks or white blemishes.
I can't even believe Old Bluey is gone. But then, you introduce the Ping G430 Max. It is an UNBELIEVABLE CLUB! Old Bluey is gone, but the new guy will-not-disappoint!!! 👍
I see plenty of RUclips videos about course management, I wonder would it cross Rick's mind with hindsight to just play short of the bunker on the 6th , 3 Wood, 3 iron perhaps and have a wedge in. Even scratch golfers have to hit their Sunday best drive 336. Maybe I'm wrong , who knows
@@Lamster66No way he’s a teaching pro
Great video Rick, regarding the 3 wood situation. I was the same as you in struggling a little to get consistently so I trialed out the Ping Max 5 wood with a 3 woods shaft, didn't sacrifice much distance off the tee and much easier to hit off the fairway. Never looked back, love that club now.
"I'm looking for more distance this year" - why Rick?
It's obvious the issues in your game right now are chipping and consistency off the tee. It's painful watching you constantly struggle, fall way behind the ability level of other youtubers around you and then say your investing time into finding 20 yards in your drives... WHY?!?
His clubbing is often miles away too.
100% right - more consistent straight hitting and a sharper short game is where so many strokes can be saved in Rick's game - distance isn't the issue.
I couldn't believe on his quadruple hole he was a couple of yards off the green with so much green to work with hitting it SO high in the air. Bring out the 9 iron and bump it to the hole for an easy shot saved.
22:33 - is there a 5 ball or has someone brought a caddie for a social round…
More importantly, great video again Rick 👍🏻
Hey Rick you said you had the "Wilson Staff MB irons" but those lol like the CB irons? 🤔
I wish I read this comment before commenting the exactly same thing.
"We have an easy par 4 coming up next" Proceeds to quadruple bogey it 😅Love ya Rick!
Quote from Linford Christie: It not the shoes, it’s the man.
I would find it so hard in your position to stick with certain clubs because of all the choices you have! I love this series, in how it gives us a look into how you approach a round and what your thinking throughout. Keep up the amazing content!!
PS come to Australia it feels like there's less wind down here
You reviewed dark speed as least consistent. Why did you go with it? I figured it be ping g430 or Qi10
Nooooo goodbye old bluey (hopefully not for long lol) i can't believe he's gone i hope he's getting a proper send off Rick. A great video to start my friday evening off 😁👍⛳
I think we need to see what happens if Rick committed 6 months to a full set of fitted Ping G430 Max’s with some Cleveland CBX wedges. Is it truth or myth that better players play worse with them?
"Driver has a bit of a question mark, it might not stay in the bag too much longer." I love golfer's excuses, and how it's never our fault for making a bad swing! Haha! I can't even begin to imagine how tempting it must be to change clubs so often when you're handed every single brand new club for free, but changing clubs every two weeks doesn't help consistency. I understand finding a club that you hit well, but don't change clubs just because you had a bad day on a crazy windy course! Great video, regardless! Keep up the great work, Rick and Crew!
Not fan that driver what point of the extra distance if its costing you shots
Beautiful Course, England has some of the most beautiful lands!!!
I’m kinda jealous but we have lots of amazing clubs and courses here in the states . Love your work with Bryson Rick!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Honestly. I hate to see you with the Cobra Darkspeed. I dont remember a single break 75 with the Cobra driver ever beeing good. I love to see you golf. But the Cobra just isnt for you (when looking at the evidence of holes with the driver.
I think it would be so mutch better for you to use a driver that has loads of spins who helps you find the fairways more.
Again who am I to say sutch things, I am just a fan.
So true
I had the Cobra “dog” speed for about a week. Bliddy awful club to keep in the fairway and I’m a 3 hcap. Now went to the 2024 Burner mini driver never looked back since.
Really enjoyed this video Rick - looked like tough conditions. I’m glad you’re honest about the driver and think you should get back to the Ping. Also, it might be and idea to watch your video withDanGrieve 👍🏼👍🏼
11:40 into this and it's actually painful to watch....
This is what I like about Rick. he is a good golfer that makes mistakes and doesn’t hide from them. Shooting a 78, to include a quad bogie, give hope to the rest of us.
40:00 "Why I hit driver I'll never know." Yeah. This happens a LOT. No idea why you refuse to use 3 wood or a longer iron off the tee sometimes. Whether its a short par 4 or a troublesome par 5. Just take an extra shot to get to the green, and no doubt you'll yield better results and a lower score. Course management is key. Leave the ego at home.
Driver wedge on a par 5 is awesome! Sweet 330 yard drive, distance does not seem to be a problem Rick!
Is the wind with us in the room right now?
Mate , that ping 3 fairway club is absolutely amazing!!!!! I will be adding one to my kit . I would love to have a complete ping set-up with a bit different style putter though . I have been working on my putter and reading greens and it’s probably my best area but hitting with the 3 wood on a long par 5 is my favorite and that ping club is where it’s at! 👍🏻
Come on Rick! As a pro golfer you know only too well that any MB's have to be struck out of the middle. Anything other than the middle and it aint gonna end well. Sure they look good, but you need either MC's or perhaps some hollow heads. Forgiveness is what you need, you rarely hit the middle. The 3 wood makes sense, Max. The driver makes no sense at all. Forget a Low Spin head get a Ping 10k in with a low spin shaft. It works for Pete. Your problem is you aint a scratch golfer now you are going to need help. It gives me no pleasure to say all this. I am 16.5 handicap i reckon i could give you a run for your money
Well said.
His irons are MCs. They are literally called Staff Model CB.
He was mistaken when he said MB’s. His are CB’s.
Your drip is outstanding, Rick!! Keep grinding, I see great golf coming in future videos!
I was trying to think when have I seen Rick play a good game. All the tech and clubs... but
Theres a video from about 3 years ago when he remembered how to play and stuck with what he knows, he shot a 72, since then hes yet to make an up and down or better a 95
I agree. I started watching Rick years ago for his coaching and tips but it now seems he needs to watch his own early videos.
As always, love the content. I really do think you need to switch drivers; I haven’t seen you hit that Darkspeed with any kind of consistency since you put it in the bag.
