Hi Rick, I've been a viewer of your channel for many years and this is my first comment. Your best video by far, superb golf, excellent commentary and very relatable for us average golfers. Thank you for your inspiration and entertainment.
Front 9 was the most relaxed I’ve seen you on a golf course and showed in the score. My theory is the sausage roll bite put your heart rate up back 9 & the 18th was the sugar crash 😆. Solid golf, good to see focused Rick.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I'll echo the sentiments below: this is the Rick that re-ignited my love of golf. Chill, relaxed and rolling with the punches. Making birdies, triple bogies and eating sausage rolls. What more could you ask for?
Great course Rick, reminds me of the forest lined courses here in the Midwest, Stateside. We have all been there, 8 on the 18th, none-the-less, another solid video. Keep up the great work.
Aww Rick. You're an absolute legend. All the way from South Africa, I've been watching your videos before I even had the courage to start playing this beautiful game. After 3 months, I'm at a handicap of 26 with my first set of 4th hand clubs which, by the way, cost a delicious 60 pounds for the whole lot! On my quest to break 100 (which I did because of your videos), I had many moments like the back 9 you played here, and I chose to let them amuse me too. But just like you old boy, I'lm always back on the course as soon as I can. I admire how much you love this game. Thanks for showing people like me that this game is for all. Rick you can buy bottles of acid specific to getting rust off metal. Just get some and dip cotton buds in and rub them into your initials if you want to get th rust off. It'd work a treat for light rust
Shouldnt have to do that with a £50 putter, let alone a £2,000 putter. And then what? Its rusts again? Oh, now he has to seal it to prevent that? Again, a £2,000 putter? But it doesn't even matter because there are rust spots all over the head, not just the etched logo section. They will have ruined the black finish and the spots will remain forever. Last time, a £2,000 putter?

Back to some of the best of Rick - relaxed, hitting some good drives, chips and putts - and HAPPY! the last hole doesn’t change any of the good golf and attitude that went before!
I can soooo relate to this round. I'm a high handicapper (15.2 index), so not in your league...but it's always trainwrecks like your last hole that cause me to shoot near 90 about half my rounds. One or two triples each side account for between 6-12 strokes over. The other 14 holes, I'm 6-9 over. And they're almost exclusively caused by a bad tee shots.
Tough luck at the end Rick 😮 can I just say that the stroke index is there to spread our handicaps over both halves of the course and not to denote the difficulty of the holes. Looking forward to you playing the Hotchkin 😊

Great start , as soon as it started to rain , everything went sideways ! Hard to have a good round when the weather's like that ! I would love a 78 in the sunshine ! 😊
Great front 9 and a fantastic shot out of the creek Rick. Wet chilly conditions are rough.
Personally a 78 would be a delight!! Thanks for sharing, keep it real and love you smiling through it all Rick..
00:12 "Lincolnshere"? . Top Break 75 as always👍
Great course @RickShielsPGA some of the most rollercoaster greens at times I’ve played in a long while!!
Brilliant video. We all feel your pain when it’s going so well and then turns sour. Hats off to you for keeping positive for the video. I’d be saying cut and walking off first time it went bad. 😂 keep up the good work Rick love your channel 👌🏽👌🏽
