Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This RUclips channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I’ve recently got back into golf after around 10 years out. My brother and I used to play everyday as kids with our grandad, so back playing with my brother is bringing back great memories! I am devouring your videos at the moment, thanks and keep up the great work!

Years ago I made a golf ball gun, it was basically a potato gun with the correct id for a golf ball, powered by propane normally but could also be used with hairspray, or for a nice big flame at night mapp gas. It could fire a golf ball thru 2 3/4" sheets of plywood. I took it to a large farm to see how far I could launch a ball but the farm wasn't big enough it shot it well over 1000yds. I played around with it( never on the course) until the barrel wore out. The thing was scary

Rick Shiels Golf, what set of irons would you think would be better for a first set of irons. Ping g710's or the g425's and im looking for most forgiveness and range.

I bought a new set of clubs May last year, and in June had an accident at work, damaging both my knees. Then December 21 had to heart attacks. I cannot wait to have the surgery to replace them, and get back to golf.

That's quite the brilliant idea.
Mr. Rober is one awesome human being and quite an even better engineer. I would bet he would have factored in a method to control Spin on the ball and had all the calculations for range and trajectory to give a most predictable shot.
It would be so awesome to see what could actually me achieved.
Although, I would much rather see a Golf Club Swinging device than a Cannon.

USGA Rule 14-1: Players must strike at the ball with the clubhead rather than pushing it, scraping it or moving it with other non-striking actions.
R&A Rule 10.1: The player must fairly strike at the ball with the head of the club such that there is only momentary contact between the club and the ball and must not push, scrape or scoop the ball.
Once they fix these to have "or shot from a pressurized air cannon" at the end, I'll take 2 of those.
Hey Rick I am One of your biggest fans and I was wondering if you do a golf club reviewale ? They are Delta SI500 pulse oversize irons there should be a driver, 3 wood, and a 5 wood.The irons go from 3 iron to pitching wedge.I think it would make a good vido.

When are you reviewing the G430 driver? Only one review on here so far.
Rick what is the best way for a golfer who doesn't create a lot of spin hold the greens. Is it better to club down and swing slightly softer
Have you shot with a device that measure your spin rate?
At what range are you struggling with holding the greens?
How experienced of a Golfer are you? Established Handicap? What do you normally shoot in a 9or18 hole round?
Do you use all the clubs in your bag? I ask because some newer Golfers don't.
Have you practiced Chipping and Pitching much?
There are many factors but as a whole, if you bring the ball Forward in your stance a little, that'll allow the Face of the Club to de-loft and give more Spin and a Higher Trajectory.
One of the beauties of Golf is that so many different shots can be made with each club.
@@glenj.taylor2938 no I haven't. My local ranges don't seem to have anything that shows spin rate in fact they are the bog standard ranges. Probably from around 130 yds I don't seem to get the ball to stop. Runs out Probably 10ft at least. Lob wedges around the green from 70 yards I can get to hold and run out 1 to 2ft its just that 130ish yards

P Wedge to 130 isn't a beginner's distance so congrats for that.
Keeping your clubs clean before each shot will definitely help.
You could try using a different ball?
As I mentioned before you could experiment with adjusting the ball in your stance. Distance is great but if you're not getting the overall results you want then you have to try different things until you find what works.
But as a whole I'll have to defer to others more knowledge/exlerienced than me on this one.

How does it do putting?
There's a guy in Kansas City who built one of with a slight downward curve in the barrel. He takes it to charity events.
The curved barrel puts backspin on the ball so it flys l Iike a real shot.
When will you review the Strata by Callaway set ???? Been waiting a while for this one
A good case study for influencer marketing. Build a neat challenge that a youtuber can't resist - "i can see the title and thumbnail already!" although the machine wasn't too impressive, I'd still like to be hired to create whacky machines for ad agencies - would be fun, dave is lucky.
