Not having any luck getting a Windows XP machine to see or be seen by a Windows 11 machine. Even going straight to the IP, it won't see it. This is something your demo doesn't show, as your WIN10TEST device is already seen by your computer.

this video seems nonsense, XP here seems to be compromised in some way, XP and win10 cant work together normally, XP and win8 can recognize each other well, win8 and win10 recognize well each other, but not XP and win10. system property for XP win8 and win10 all have workgroup only, but win8 seems to change this into homegroup. but win10 has no idea of homegroup, win10 has no idea no display, no homegroup search found in win10. registry hacking didnt seem to work either
All Editions of Windows Win XP - Windows 10 have network compatibility. The name of your Workgroup has nothing to do with network access. You can access any PC directly by name or IP address for example.

try to temporary deactivate the firewall on your Windows 10 machine and see if it works.

If you have Ethernet connection speed at 100 Mbps = 12.5 MB/s then it's maximum possible speed.
