No I had the dealer do it I have premium 2000 and it covered it other wise it’s about $1500 The problem did come back but this time it was range switch, I had the gaskets replaced and now it’s fine dealer told me the range switch activates between 6th and 7 th gear and I had an air leak in it. Try that first it’s cheaper and the symptoms are very similar as the split pin bushings
Hi Aleks same problem with my DT12 , I contact freightliner dealer and I told them about ( range switch gasket) they didn’t recognize what I’m talking about, so please can you reply Part number which fixed the air leak Thank you
EM T Sorry for the late reply, I don’t have the receipts with me right now. The range switch is what switches the transmission from low gears to high gears. I was told there’s a gasket there that leaks out air and then it has a hard time switching between the too. Maybe it’s a o ring I’ll check receipt when I get home from my trip
Thank you for respond, I changed split bushing shift , clutch, clutch cylinder,back seal,clutch bearing,with all O rings on the area , still problem not solved after $7300 invoice, I showed them your video the don’t recognized with gasket or Oring, if you can save me with part number ASAP ( money bleeding continue) thank you
My transmission works perfectly fine. All the way to 6 gear once it's gonna hit 7 motor stalls out. Then it will recalculate back to fifth gear. And it will grab 68 ten, and 12. It will skip7911 but runs perfectly fine with no codes.
When servicing Detroit DT12 transmissions built before August 2016, make sure to change the steel split rod and bushing to eliminate a common complaint that the transmission will not go into gear after cold soak. The best time to address this problem is when the transmission is already out of the truck. This will help save significant service time and money in the long run.
i have an emergency question if you can help please … I have 2016 Cascadia with dt12 automatic transmission and my shift controller on the transmission is damaged … does that make my truck not to start at all ????????????????????? the guy who checked my truck with the computer said so but I kind of have a doubt as it doesn't make sense unless if you confirm i also changed the cpc4 and reprogrammed it to my vin and still doesn't start the truck and that's the only error it's showing just to mention ... the cpc was changed as it was stolen from my truck and i bought 2 used ones ... one is not programmed and it does crank my truck but won't throttle or put gear on .. and the second one is the programmed to my vin and doesn't crank the truck at all
You need to replace a pin with metal bushing. For that, you need to take a transmission out. Check Francisco Amaya channel for dd15 transmission splitter pin replacement. 2014-16 dt12 transmission has this problem. After 2016, they fixed it.
Having the same problem with automatic 10 speed Cummins engine I replaced the shefter and valve with no results Now they told me it might have a bad cpc and should be replaced!
So my truck shutoff in the mountains trying to climb. Reading these comments I believe I was in that same gear range 6-8th gear somewhere & the hsa ovrd light came on n truck shutoff. Then started truck 10mins later n light was gone n started driving. Then when taking an exit keep going to neutral engine brake turn on n off. Im at freightliner and there saying something about a cpc module.
@@mafaaz100 turn off power on your truck for 15-20 minute and then you may drive, there’s will be issues with harness and there may be air leak somewhere
Same problem take it to dealership they say air compressor bad I was laughing because it's brand new they don't know shit then I was do diagnosed on my own find out a air hose bad leak they just lazy or they know to charge u alot of money I hate dealership

What is the problem my tyranny is doing the same thing but it will to 5th and then it will run 6 8 10 n 12 it will not get 7 9 and 11it will skip them

Yes oil psi is dependent on eng rpm

Replace the TCM and then reset it to clear the codes.

My transmission does the same thing when it is cold. After the temperature gets 90F, it will shift without jumping out of gear.

I had dealer program my jake brake not to turn on if speed is under 18mph even if the switch is on. There was no jake brake in video
