Australia sells metallurgical coal to China for steel making. As you correctly said, most Chinese coal fired power stations are of a higher standard than in the US or other countries but the problem is that China had 3100 of them as of Jan 1st 2024 and are building more at an incredible rate. So even though the power stations are of a high standard, the enormous collective emissions output from such a huge number of furnaces cancels out the advantages of the technology.

Here we benefit from 7 years of warranty also. First service after two years now and just half a day for A/C filter and some updates and the cost one third of what we have used to! We also four times changed wheels at our service center from summer to winter etc. Not any problems the first years as usual after the first few kilometers with all the others. Just the perfect new car and we only bought new ones. Nothing to pay for warranty repairs sure but who was paying our time? We also however service our Teslas that we started owning by 2008 here as is mandatory by law for security reason and not to finance stealerships as with BMW or former Mercedes!😂 Even the first Tesla had e.g. a new gearbox from the original, M3 and MY some whisbone issues and badly adjusted fall and track which is a known default of many. So we refined drivetrain on our own. This with the Kia made up by former BMW M-Sport Boss Albert Biermann however was not necessary and we have been on real racetracks not US rediculous 1/4 miles just straight ahead or just in stupid circles 🤪🤡💩💨 But Tesla improves such things for Europeans very fast as we have also some heavy mountain roads unlike California and Silicon Valley!
