- Welcome back to Confabulation! This is a game that was literally made for me! It's a really fun (and terrifying) mix of The Mortuary Assistant and I'm on Observation Duty. Which are both some of my favorite horror games of all time! And in this video we are going to tackle hard mode! ENJOY!

I like the ending, with the one candle, because I like to think of it as follows: Each Candle represents one thing that doesn't belong, such as the records being covered. The ending having one candle being lit once you wake back up, represents that you, no longer belong.
This was such an interesting game... imagine if he makes a new map complete with new puzzles, new anomolies, new excorcism etc etc... would be insane
a speed run of this would be ridiculous! love it
I think with the 'sticker' system (of completing a puzzle X times on X difficulty) letting you bypass the puzzles would allow you to get those insane achievements.
No that is not the case. For normal this may be true, but from what I heard on the first video, hard mode never allows you to skip puzzles no matter the number of completions (that's why he was never able to skip the brute force memory puzzle in this video)
Guile is a synonym for cunning or trickiness. And it's pronounced like the name of the street-fighter character with the sonic boom power. Which is funny, because he doesn't seem to have a lot of guile.

For the candles, I think I get the logic: You don't /have/ to light them in any order, but they stay lit for different amounts of time. The shorter the candle, the shorter the time it stays lit.
I dont like watching long videos but I always make an exception for your stuff!

Was this video recorded before or after patch 1.1.0? The reason I ask is because the attic candle timers were adjusted on hard. So maybe if this was recorded before the patch, Insym might be the reason for the adjustment. :D
The stream was one to one and a half weeks ago I think. I don't know when that patch went through but I was watching the stream and I think it was last week? But also don't quote me 😅

Guile, it's like trickery or subterfuge. Pronounced just like the army guy's name from street fighter. Skyrim uses it in a sentence to describe hag ravens. "They will take through savagery, what they cannot win through guile". So take with force what they can't get with trickery.

Making that candle puzzle randomly generated is the most godawful and poorly thought out design choice i think i've ever seen, holy shit. Some things are DO NOT need to be random. Especially if they are also timed.
Huh? i dont see how changing the candle's position makes it any better. You just have to light them in the right order, its practically the easiest puzzle. The only thin wrong that happened here is that insym lit the two shortest candles in the wrong order. I'll give it to him, it is difficult to see but the dev realized that and make a recent change to make it more obvious. I don't see how randomizing candles would be godawful and a poorly thought out design choice.
I mean they go by size so you just need to look first and then go fast. If it was full random all the same size then it would be too much for sure.

Well they aren't made for you so much as for the the YT algorithm. It's dumb, but to do to YT as part of his job you have to play to the algorithm. So go go complain to corporate for any changes to happen.
