As for the "Nightmare mode" for this game do this;
Pull each body out of the fridge
Look for the smile on thr cadaver
You find the smiling cadaver, you have the demon's possessed body. The possessed is ALWAYS smiling.
While working on the possessed body, use the ashes to next identify the house, then you can get the name with 2 parts of the name exposed.
You don't have to work on the non-possessed bodies before burning the possessed body if it is the third body.
You also unlock speedrunner achievement for getting the body identified in under 5 minuets.

That bathroom scare has been in the game for a while, and unless you got it off camera, there's one involving the mirror that you never saw, just goes to show how many scares there are, this new 10x mode and hiding story events is perfect to explore them :D

A warranty call that actually is the demon and starts cackling and that cackling turns into being right behind you and then they whisper something creepy like ‘not that you’ll need it’ and throws you across the room or some shit.

One thing I love about this game is the scares aren't extremely obvious and over the top, they're subtle and a lot are ones you won't really notice unless you're paying attention

It's crazy how Insym just goes "oh hi" to all the horrifying demons who pop in. Happy stream-iversary! I also like watching you play scary stuff, much more fun than actually playing these things myself as you have a funny chat keeping you company whereas I live alone :S
On the topic of if the procedures are accurate to real life, there's actually a video of a mortician reacting to the game and they said it's pretty accurate.
Not 100% obviously, there's more steps to it and takes longer but surprisingly still rather accurate, especially the loud ass pump haha

You don’t need the ashes to tell which one is the possessed body. They exhibit several signs throughout to tell you which one is the one. If one of the doors slam on the cold storage, that is almost certainly the right body. Also a few other signs that all add up, are if you’re embalming a body and another body shows up. The cold storage door popping open on just one body. Add all those up and you have the right body. I only have 53 hours logged in the game but I love playing it so I tried to learn as much as I could about it

A good test method for cutscenes is to pass the trigger backwards. You'd be surprised how many skips are able to be done like that. Usually, it's niche, but there are times where it can break sequences.

I don't watch much horror game playthroughs and stuff, but your Mortuary Assistant runs are always a delight.
I wonder if he knows you can beat a night without ever embalming anyone and that events like talking etc have nothing to do with the possessed body while the scratches and subtle movements are a dead giveaway
I also think a smile and a banging door are signs of the possessed body. Don't think I ever saw a round when it wasn't the body that was smiling
@@taniajs the door is not a good hint on which body is possessed. The marks and the moving feet/arms are the more obvious sign on who's the possessed body

I might be wrong, but whenever I watched playthroughs, the possessed body was the one who's door was banging

I started watching your videos a long while ago after becoming practically numb to the big-time YTers, your videos have been so fun to watch ever since I found out about your channel, even before you were trying out a ton of other horror games. I love the interaction you have with your community during most of your gameplay and it really helps to keep things random and interesting, thank you for bringing a new kind of YT-ing to RUclips, and restoring some part of my enjoyment in videos. ^^
I love Insym playing this game, but it does low-key trigger me that when he sees an event he doesn't remember but has seen before, he just chucks it up to it either being new or him never having encountered it, when in reality he just forgot because it's been 7 months since he saw that particular event.

If i remember correctly, this is fairly accurate to modern embalming techniques, including the types of tools being used. Example: the long metal spear (forgot its technical name) is used to puncture hollow organs to drain and embalm them (liver, stomach, ect). Pretty sure that's why the game has you change angles a lot during that procedure. It simulates puncturing the hollow organs in the abdominal cavity.

I don’t think it’s very inappropriate for a mortuary to have a bell, it’s a place of business that people work at and you wouldn’t want it to be too grim and depressing, plus I’m pretty sure the families of the deceased wouldn’t be at the mortuary, it would mainly be staff?
Not sure if Insym ever noticed but to tell between the good and bad ending, pay attention to how Rebecca refers fo Raymond.
If she addresses him formally, it's the good ending. If she uses his first name, it's the bad ending.

Edit 2: 33:39 Thats where you put your clipboard when entering info on the computer. As someone who uses a clipboard all day, a stand like that would be very useful for copying info onto a computer. Easier to look to the right a bit than lean and look down, especially when you've been doing it for hours.
This game has amazing repeat value, even when you've gotten all the endings.

First off, please correct me if I'm wrong.
That said, I hope you don't mind but I really don't get the Raymond hate. I mean, I understand that he can come off like he's doesn't care or he's selfish but him helping Rebecca ward off her own possession is better off than letting her go and get herself possessed. She's marked by the Lesser Houses and they won't stop until they get a hold of her and she might end up as one of the bodies in the mortuary if she leaves.
It's not Raymond's fault that Rebecca is getting possessed. He's helping her stave off her own possession while having yo deal with his own while trying yo find a way to permanently end the possession threat. Guy has been given a bad hand and making the best out of it.

i think you can always ignore the Grandma in the window scare, just to save time. The use of ashes are also optional too. I think if you're pretty good on reading the symbols, there's no need to use the ashes. The scratches or unknown body marks are always a dead give away (get it?) You can save time if you skip those parts.

With all the extra items, you'd think there'd be an extra difficulty where you had to do more to properly embalm certain bodies. A lot of morticians use makeup to cover bruises and scars (Like using the moisturizer), so it looks good for the funeral. I mean, the jaundice fluid is just sitting there waiting to be used.

In addition to finding a successor, he also may be doing anything he can to learn more about the demons. After all, when learning about something, you don't learn more by reading the same book time and again. You go on to a new book or guide, right? Maybe it teaches you nothing new, but maybe you learn just what you were looking for.

Demon Audrey talked about another barrier between Raymond and the inevitable. I still understand that if Raymond fails, one or more demons will be unleashed, able to run free and haunt humanity, which you can kind of see when you burn the wrong body since Rebecca becomes a demon, kills Raymond, and is now loose. I assume those demons would set Audrey's demon free, which seems to be a particularly powerful one if the flesh of Audrey's body can be used to burn away other lesser demons.
isnt the Protagonist haunted by demon's and that's why Raymond tries to recruit you, and since you are like him it give him a partner to hunt demons and worst case scenario a successor? Like I can understand that keeping his possessed mother and possessed Valery imprisoned is morally dubious at best, but their flesh and blood equips him to fight demons. Only other option would be to have others be possessed to take their places, which would be a greater evil on his part.
I honestly dont know how these horror games make money. Id be waaaay too scared to play any of them. Dead by daylight was the HUGE exception xd but everything at the level of outlast , like the game insym is playing, waaaaay too much
First off you get a sub Demon mark and when it is completely possessed then you get the boss Demon mark. The timer starts when you get the boss Demon mark.
have you thought of doing a video without the notepad? I notice you always play with it collected, though it helps with knowing how possessed you are. I'd like to see a vid where you don't know (as though the character has not idea about it), just a thought in passing :)
