Great video guys!!! The most important thing you can do when jamming with someone is simply to pick a single key and let the music grow from there. This is what I teach all of my students and it is a simple matter of respect and consideration for other musicians. Most musicians are not going to be proficient in Jazz and therefore going in and out of keys is nothing but showing off and has nothing to do with collaboration. Be mindful people please 🙏✨
I love how you seemed a bit caught off-guard when the genre was soul. It felt like you were on the spot just like how I'm about to be when I go practice these tips. Thanks for the vid!
I know this is an old comment. A lot can change in that amount of time... but let me ask you. Do you think they would want you to never play again? Maybe it hurts to relive those memories, but that's okay, because that hurt means those memories were real and meaningful. That means they live on in your mind and heart. Maybe playing can be a way to honor them.
Wow, Vincent Van Gogh is amazing at guitar too!
🤣🤣🤣 he do look like it
And he has grown himself a new ear as well!

Agreed!! 100%. How do you jam without fear? Because I need to not be concerned about being judged.
@@joshstevens4626just jam and if the note isn’t right bend it 😂

Its called chemistry lol. I lost it when I lost my best friend/guitarist 3 years ago. Since then I haven't picked up my guitar. *sigh
I'm sorry to hear that, must be really tough... wishing you all the best and strength
I know I will never know how hard it must be, but i wish you'll start to play your guitar again. I'm sure your friend would like it too.
In 2015 I lost my friend of 20yrs and bandmate for 10. It took me about 5yrs to get back to it and it feels good
That sounds absolutely horrible mate I really feel for you, hope you’re doing well
