- This 10 to 12 person dining table will feature bat-wing style legs with a tambour-look.
It's gonna be solid walnut from head to toe and will be quite a bit of work.
Because of that, I've broken this down into parts and I hope you enjoy its journey with me :-).

You grew out to be one of my favourite woodworkers. As a non native english speaker, it is easy to follow your comments, it is informative and tons of fun to see how you deal with the challanges you face. Keep up the good work. And to channels would be great.
I know it took me a while to reply, but your comment really stuck with us throughout the past week. Thank you for the feedback and support - it means a lot and we'll keep working to improve and grow :-)
Whatever drives you…is authentic. Thats what draws me to watch.
Thank you so much, Simon! It really helps to hear!!
Asmr might work for some, but what brought me to your content is your personality/woodworking talent and the videography. Kudos to you both!
You should add a shortened video with no talking but most of the woodworking channels with a big following do voice overs so that they connect with the audience.
Thank you so much for the input, Karl! Comments and feedback like this is really helpful for us to understand what we’re doing and how to provide better value. Appreciate you so much for taking the time to let us know!!! 🙌🙌
Fun video! Personally, I like the variation and unpredictability about what type of video we get. Continue to do a mix!
Appreciate you letting me know, Stephen! I’ll keep it in mind for sure! 😁🙌
Absolutely love these style videos, talking about your work gives you such a great connection to your viewers. Hi from Perth, Australia, keep up the amazing work!
Hello to Australia!! Thank you and I actually REALLY wanna visit Australia one day :-)
Love the variety. Great to hear your thoughts and well as the less vocal ones. I’d say keep them on the same channel but make play lists. Just a thought. Keep making inspiring and beautiful content.
Appreciate the feedback, Jeff! I'll keep that in mind as I try to figure out what will be the best move :-)
I like all the content you create. If i had to choose I would say I like this style. I do like the full build videos as well.
Thank you for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind and we're definitely working to improve this process :-)
I prefer these talking videos, i want to hear why/what you are trying to execute, and your expected/actual results. Learning more about others problem solving approach and results improves mine.
Thank you so much for the feedback, Jamie! We'll definitely be working on improving our process to make these videos :-)
I think that no matter what media type you use, your audience will continue to be interested. That being said, the flow of this particular video was relatively seamless for me. It kept my attention. And I enjoyed it. In part because of my interest in wood as a spoon carver, but also because you represent a welcome anomaly in the realm of custom woodwork. I did however notice a few edit breaks beginning at 8:03 . But that's "picking the fly poop out of the pepper", as they say. You guys are doing excellent work with this.
🤣🤣🤣 pick all the fly poop out - it only helps us improve - which we are really working to do :-). We were a little crunched on time but we hope it’s moving in a good direction 🙌
@@ClarasWoodshop Trust this; You don't need to "hope" You are clearly moving this in a good direction.
Really liked this video. Looking forward to your shop tour!
Thank you so much, Kartik! Will do the shop tour in the future for sure! Perhaps after coming back from Korea (and tidying up the shop 🤣🤣)
What a coincidence! The only other vlog style build videos I like are also from a Texas based woodworker who also just returned from Korea - @JennsMistake
Like the dairy video idea Clara.
Thank you, Don!!!
Loved it :) yes full build video please
Thank you! And will do! :-)
Love it
Thank you so much!! 😁🙌
I like the idea of both channels. The commentary is informative and you are a great teacher. The cinematography and the beautiful woodworking projects are nice on their own with just the sounds of the shop. Thanks for your content.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Yeah I was thinking that having three videos come out per week from one channel might feel a like a little much. 🤣🤣 We’ll keep chewing on the idea and listening to the feedback to see how to take things! :-)
Like the voiceover versions.
Thank you so much for letting me know!
I like the mix of everything on one channel - so not sure about moving the quiet vids away... But whatever you can/want to do is fine - just keep posting informative and entertaining vids.
Noted!!! I appreciate the feedback - it really helps a lot!! 😁🙌
@@ClarasWoodshop you wore a shirt!!!!
I like it...
Thank you, Rick!!!
I very much prefer videos with commentary ... every build has a (back) story and every part of the process comes with its own challenges - hearing it straight from the creator's point of view (rather than reading the captions while also not quite focussing on the visuals) is better, in my opinion.
Keep up the good work.
Appreciate the feedback, Jacques! It really helps a lot to hear! :-)
I think your voice is already calming, and you have a lot to teach. Hey - are you aware that you have a black screen between 3:20-3:39 in this video? That's not just something happening to me, right?
Ahhhh shoot - we forgot the BROLL in that part lol 🫣
Very good video, would you mind sharing the name of the business that did the sanding/flattening of your table, I am beginning to do larger builds and might need that help
Thank you, Carlos! The name of the business is "Helmwood." :-)
@@ClarasWoodshop thanks, I'll keep them in mind
I've never seen any of your other videos
What did you think of this one? 😁
@@ClarasWoodshop It was great! but it matches the style of videos I already watch. Probably why it was recommended to me
Don't change a thing!
Thank you!!! 😁🙌
