I support it fully. The less palatable they make Disney Star Wars, the better. Imagine still thinking this is Star Wars whatever they make. Star Wars died when Lucas sold it off (at least on screen, I enjoyed Fallen Order and Survivor games).
I think at this point, DSW is the containment area for all the writers, producers, directors, fart sniffers and actors that society at large just can't stand.
The sooner Star Wars dies off the better. Hopefully Lucasfilm can be bought out on the cheap by somebody that can decanonise all the disney BS and start from scratch. Luke Skywalker needed to be the focal point, such a waste of a great actor and character. Imagine living in the timeline where Rey Palpatine is the main protagonist in more Star Wars theatrical movies than Luke Skywalker, makes me wanna puke.

Its impossible to move a story forward if, at every critical point, the significant actions can be undone by an alternate reality or timeline.
I hate alternate story lines. I mostly skip those epis.
Solution is to make the time shifter the bad guy(s) and orchestrate an effort across all timelines and diverse universes to take out the time manipulators. Star Trek Enterprise had time travelling villains and a team meant to repair it.

That's why. In my version of the MCU I fix the timeline thing. For example in my WAY better version of Ant-man 3. The time machine was supposed to be useless because it only works with pym Particles. So Hank pym destroy all pym particles. Because the truth is Hank never created Pym P he just discovered it. So it turns out he gets the Pym P from a section in the Quantum Realm using a machine to gather them. He is only one who knows the location. So he uses the machine to do the reverse selling a chemical that turns all the Pym P useless. Of course this means not only time travel but all ant suits are no more. This was the only way to stop Kang. Ant-man must die. Just not way you guys think. Pretty clever, I know I'm a genius. Great way end the trilogy. Also all woke stuff is gone. Cassidy's not a walking communist and ants don't have their own advanced society which was stupid.
Also there is no phase 5 or 6. Phase 4 is the wrap up phase. There be a break period for about 2 years. As Marvel get all the legal rights done with Fox x-man and get te cast right for F4. Both teams starting the new universe MCU 2. A second universe. Think of it like Marvel ultimate comic but just the two. MCU 1 and MCU2. No infinite amount of universes. That gets resolved after Spider-Man: NWH, Doctor Strange 2 and 3 is complete. The other Universes are still there, we just not able to travel to them or see them. So no cop out "oh we can just replace this said character". Also most of the characters from MCU1 don't have counterparts in MCU2. However some characters from MCU1 will travel over to MCU2. Like Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange etc.
Variant characters in MCU2 from MCU1 will be Captain America and Black Panther. I want Cap so that way we can see Wolverine team up with him in WW2. That way we can see it and it doesn't interfere with the MCU1 establish timeline. Black Panther so we can recast him and give T'chilla a proper trilogy.

I remember some of these what ifs for the OT from around 10 years ago. Its where we get the "Yoda actually wanted leia to be the one he trained" Aka it was the first sign of the bad times.
It's telling that after 5 feature films and 3 television series, one of the most popular new Star Wars characters disney has managed to produce was a nameless, faceless stormtrooper with one minute of screentime and a single word of dialogue.
And to top it off, after catching lightning in a bottle, they decided to just go back to the phasma well for a second gulp.

Instead of trying to make a good movie with a good story, grounded within it's own universe, they try to appease people, who don't even like their own product within the first place. They will change the movies to fit putting woman in power, instead of making a good story, which unironically drives away the female audience.

Actually, in my mind all the strong female characters have the same personality and they begin to fuse in my memory. Let them put Rey in the MCU where she can fix Ironheart's suit and fly Captain Marvel's spaceship. Let Zegler's Snowwhite join She-Hulk in the battle to take down the patriarchy. The possibilities for a joined cinematic universe are endless.

I agree Zegler shot herself in the foot with her statements on camera, and has likely done a fair bit of damage to a career that was on an upward trajectory. Given the current state of her career, going on about her career destroying remarks and fantasizing about what else she could screw up is starting to feel a little like punching down. And I have to wonder what happened to Disney's "does and don'ts" coaching studios tend to do with actors when they're talking to the press? Either they provided her no coaching, or bad coaching, or she went rogue (more likely one of the first two given the level of incompetence the company has been displaying).

Lucas killed Star Wars with the prequels. He should've let the fans who had by then grown up with it take over if he wanted it to survive. He has a lot of interesting ideas but he's bad at storytelling and character writing. Who doesn't remember wondering what the Clone Wars were based on that 1 line of dialog? Who doesn't remember wondering what the Jedi were before it was revealed they all wore Tatooine robes?
That's where the fans who spent a lifetime thinking about this stuff could've come up with something really interesting. The PT killed the lore of that universe.

The original What If? comic was actually pretty good, interesting glimpses into other takes on classic stories, the first of which What if Spider-man joined the Fantastic Four. The key was, I never took it for cannon (these stories were never meant to be part of the overall mainstream narrative) and just took it as it was meant to be, a glimpse into another possibility. The second series went wrong when it did a 5-part story that WAS meant to impact the overall (earth-616) continuity. It's not a bad concept, per se.
I think what ifs should be relegated to fan fiction. Let the fans do that sort of thing. The official stories should not be concerned with fanfic level stories. And if you're not creative or good enough to make more good stories that aren't just rehashed, retains, resets, or multiverse timelines, then you gotta let somebody else who can. Going to the what if well is a sign that you've run out of real ideas, and are just running on the fumes of fanfiction. And I do love good fanfiction, but I should be getting that from fan writers, not official writers. Official writers should be so good at their job that they can't be compared to mere fan writers, otherwise what are they being paid for?

Their pacing complaint is painfully accurate. It's not often that I get legitimately bored in the overwhelming sensory experience of a theatre, but new Star Wars accomplished this multiple times. In 1995, the director of the BBC Pride and Prejudice mini series had a rule - characters would stand or sit still as little as possible so that even less interesting conversations still felt well-paced. As a result, the series feels surprisingly dynamic. When 2020s blockbuster Star Wars film could take a lesson from the director of a 1990s made-for-tv Jane Austen period drama romance, you know something somewhere has gone terribly wrong.
Rachel Zegler and Pheobe Waller Bridge (not as a voice actor) join ... And the banging noise is the final nail in the coffin for Star Wars.
