the way he narrates this sounds like a wildlife documentary
I was noticing that and lolling at it tbh hahaha.
most accurate description haha
Yes, Except for the tinny music on continuous loop which competes with his narration.
😆😆absolutelyy..😅
I remember in one of his TV shows he was giving advice and encouragement to one of the restaurant owners. He said something along the lines of 'my father was a drug addict, I had two choices. To sit there with him and take drugs or to make something out of myself'. Can't explain how much respect I have for Gordon ramsay, what a legend.
Yessss
I think you'll find that was his brother.
@@AlanHope2013 yeah that's it! his dad was an alcoholic, had them mixed up 👌🏽
@@AlanHope2013 He has tried many times to help his brother to kick his drug habit. Paid for his stays at Rehab centers, etc. I sincerely hope his brother has the strength to fight this drug demon.
I actually saw that episode! I thought I was very brave of him to be so open. I had a new found respect for him that day☺️
Most people are made of mostly water, Gordon is made of mostly olive oil.
and seasoning
You mean butter!!!!
Try this recipe 😋😋😋

Haiya where's the MSG?
That makes a weird amount of sense.
No one, NO ONE has left over bakes potatoes.
Haha.. I was just thinking the opposite -- that we have leftovers all the time and they go to waste. Now I have a recipe that makes it worth baking a few exxtras and making gnocchi. Brilliiant!
*baked
RESTAURANTS ALWAYS DO!
My mom actually has me make her extra when I'm making her ones for that night. I make loads so she can reheat throughout the week, kuz she's like old n shit and doesn't do food things anymore. She'd eat only packaged things if I didn't make her food. I know also people who live super fit lifestyles also tend to be big into food prep for the week, so also would have pre-made baked potatoes chillin in the fridge. Parents, also big on making extra and having left overs...
Excess baked potatoes is real life. Lol.
@@ninecatsmagee8384 How do you end up with leftover baked potato all the time? Bake one spud per person, 2 if they're feeling the appetite. Only situation I can imagine is if you don't know how many people are coming over for a dinner/party
My man just called a “Dosa” as “Spicy pancake”
Thanks, i was thinking there must be an actual name for this dish.
Exactlyy lol!
That wasn't a dosa; you never put eggs in dosas. Did you miss the part where he literally writes "use your imagination"?
@@scientia.veritas people do put eggs in dosas. that used to my breakfast for the last 2 years. but yeah this is a sort of interpretation of dosa for sure!
lol

Gordon is like a bionic man. He can do almost anything and has gone almost everywhere and done everything. from traveling the world to cook the freshest ingredients and taking part in different cultures , to flipping hotels and restaurants, to helping rising cooks young and old become chefs..it’s all so great. Hes tough but passionate.
Makes you wonder how his wife copes, 5 children and a husband thats never there, maybe she is the bionic one ?
@@petermaclellan9977 "cope"? LOL He's been with Tana for 25 years....has given her a career, they travel all over the world together along with the kids, the greatest houses, cars, and anything she wants, AND her husband is a Michelin star chef. I'm sure she's "coping" just fine lol.
Tough AND passionate - it's not an opposition, quite the contrary: in this mainstream, uniforming world, one needs tough muscles to swim against the mainstream and truly, freely, individually, live one's passion. This is what Gordon has done and is still doing, hence he's tough AND passionate - and deserves to be understood and profoundly respected for exactly that combination.
Homemade Gnocchi - 0:06
Olive Tomato & Rosemary Focaccia - 4:58
Roasted Squash hummus - 9:31
Spicy pancakes - 11:01
Thank you
Much appreciated!
Anyone else notice that the 2nd chapter is mislabeled "Bacon focaccia" in the timeline? I think it's because he starts the chapter saying "I really love bakin' bread" and he says baking like bacon to American ears. I was like "Gordon that's not vegetarian" until I watched it 🙂

Would like to see more entire vegetarian dishes by Gordon. These seem mostly like breads and sides.
Even this much is a surprise, coming from him. He can tolerate a lack of meat in sides and breads but not in a main course.
@@Peatingtune Not too much. In his masterclass he does some stuff because he said his daughters didn't really want fish or meat so he started doing a lot more vegetable dishes for them.
@@dr_alejandro his main signature dishes are meat based and his restaurants are meat based as well
@@miguelespejel2462 yes, however i was replying to s patton who said it was a surprise coming from him. Though in his masterclass he spoke about giving in and doing more vegetarian cooking because of his girls. Which is why it wasn't much of a surprise for me to see this after seeing his masterclass
He’s limited. No meat for flavor or as a main dish as he typically does.

Chef Gordon, watching your videos gets me through a lot of my days. I’m homeless living in my car or a motel if I can afford it. I miss having a kitchen and watching everything from “top chef” to “the f word” to your excursions abroad. Are one of the main driving forces to get me back on my feet. I can’t wait to go grocery shopping again instead of paying twice the cash for fast food which is as you say bullocks. The closest thing I get to feel like I’m cooking is poaching and egg in the microwave... if I can afford a decent motel with an actual microwave. Don’t stop making these recipe videos. Your saving lives. Mine included. I hope that one day I can dine in one of your restaurants. That is of course if that’s ever gonna be an option again since COVID-19. Long story short. You inspire me and as a musician of almost 20 years. I think of you as the Jimi Hendrix your industry. One day when I’m able to cook again in my own home I’m gonna dedicate my first dish to you. And it’s gonna be scrambled eggs for sure because I know how much you enjoy preparing that dish.
You’re a f***kin badass.

I never thought I would see the day that Gordon Ramsey would cook something vegetarian after all he has said about vegetarian food in the past. But he has, so thanks Gordon!
I guess meeting Sadhguru has inspired him 🎉
The amount of butter he puts in is no joke.
And the OLIVOIL
He looks like he's working out so i don't think it'll make any change
Gotta make it taste good somehow
I mean you’re not gonna eat the entire thing in one day would you? Lol

What I have learned from Gordon: Olive oil goes in and on everything, lol.

It took me a minute to realize
@Joseph I'm not gonna argue, but the "diet" isn't hard at all and a plus is knowing you're not purposefully making animals suffer. My body is definitely thanking me for not eating animals and my brain is too. :)
As the pastry chef for a lodge in Washington state, I had to make over 400 pieces of gnocchi a day. I started using potato flake’s because the ricer was always in disrepair and with another 400 brioche pub buns, 200 laminated biscuits, not to mention the cheesecakes I had to make daily, the potato flakes were a lifesaver. No one knew, for 2 months, until I told them. Pretty sure if I’d said so in the beginning, they would have nixed the idea.
Always appreciate an artist when given the freedom to create. Lovely, truly lovely. Thank you, Gordon.
No way, never thought I'd see Gordan make vegetarian food. He used to hate on vegetarians all the time 😂
@Joseph if you think working out and eating healthy is pain and suffering , you don't know pain and suffering
@Joseph working out and eating healthy may seem hard at first but it's so rewarding in long term!
@Joseph in my case it's the pain and suffering of the animals that's the problem.
Vegetarian food is usually really damn good if you find some good recipes that you like.
Your comment is pretty ignorant.
@Joseph Except for some people eating meat is the source of pain and suffering... I physically cannot eat meat, it makes me severely ill. So I’m thankful he made this video...
