Well... No one should really expect to see Q5 to turn into a rocketship with additional 20hp (stock 211hp and they say 234hp tuned). Just filmed this to see the difference. Same day and location...same everything but the tune. APR tuned takes 2sec lead to 100mph, 10% better with 10% more hp.
mikahede exactly plus a not so aggressive tuned gives you the perfect balance between reliability, better fuel economy and a bit more punch. After all you are only reprogramming the Ecu to make the engine and transmission function differently. No physical modifications. I hate it when people think a simple Ecu reflash will turn it into a rocket. Apr probably could push it really hard, and your engine would blow up in less than 1k miles.
What is the increase in fuel economy? I'm about to buy a 2013 Q5 and I'm wanting the city mpg to be 25+ and highway 32+ Any info would be much appreciated!
I got a stage 1 from Integrated engineering and wow it drives awesome. Top end power is awesome and plenty of torque. Even mid range made a big difference. I think a tune on these cars done by a legit company makes a big difference. I think people are expecting too much from a stage 1.
APR told me 265 or so hp tune stage 1 and like 314 tq. E85 gives like 314hp and 380 tq. With E85 it feels like it has quicker response but no where near that power. I had to do other things to really bring on the power claimed. To be honest my Q5 2.0t with mods would waste this thing.
not sure what going on but I counted at least 8 seconds 0-100km/h. Stock should be getting around 6.5- 6.9ish
no difference.
At :17 there is a 7km difference and goes up to 8km difference in the end. This is a tune only and that’s actually not bad at all.
Lol - you wasted what? £300 on that? Dead money!
need the 3.0
not much of a difference.
Is this a stage 1 or stage 2 apr tune?
5% more faster
