- Join us for a ride on Cobra's Curse, and find out what it’s like to come face-to-fang with the serpent god on Florida's first family spin roller coaster ride. No two rides are alike; change your ride by changing who you ride with on this thrilling steel serpent. This one-of-a-kind roller coaster features a menacing 30,000-pound snake king and a 70-foot vertical lift that will take riders within inches of its 3 foot-wide eyes and 4-foot-long fangs. During the three-and-a-half-minute ride, the coaster trains speed along at 40 mph down 2,100 feet of serpentine-like track, traveling backward, forward and then spinning freely. Riders will experience a new spin with each ride. Each train spins randomly, with frequency and direction determined by the rider weight distribution.
This 4K 30FPS Front Row POV was captured using a GoPro Hero 8 via park-approved wrist strap. Please be sure to consult the FAQ's on the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay website to qualify any ride cameras, and acquire a park-issued camera card (if needed) before boarding any attraction.

Our first ride was much more static than our second ride! Change the weight distribution of the vehicle, you change the entire ride experience. Definitely a unique attraction! 🙂

It's not as intense as certain others in the park, but you can definitely feel those G-Forces when you get caught in a spin cycle! 😂
I feel so torn as this ride looks so good and smooth but the backward part would make me so sick! :D Amazing view from the front row though for sure!!

Haha, I think this one is probably a no-go for the motion-sickness-sensitive....but super fun for anyone with a stomach that can tolerate it! 😜 Cobra's Curse is always a must-do for us, we love the theming and the dark ride elements. Fantastic POV as always!! I loooove going backwards on a coaster, the spinning would make me a bit nervous but this didn't look like it would be tea cups level of spinning LOL! Awesome video!!
It depends! The weight and the distribution of that weight in each car actually impacts how much spinning you do or don't do. We didn't have a teacup degree of spin, but the car right in front of us did! 😂 Still, worth doing at least once for the experience and the theming! We always have a lot of fun on this one.
