i believe this is the best rendition of "flower of beauty" on youtube, it is so pure without all the vibrato. not to mention that the acoustics sound wonderful!! this video deserves much more recognition. thank you for this beautiful performance.
This performance is stunning. The singers trust one another and the conductor; the sound is centered and just superb, and the pacing is just right. Thank you for this.
I sang this in a quartet a couple years ago. What a gorgeous piece of music. Long live beautiful choral harmonies. Thank you for posting this blessing.
I sang this in high school. It is so very beautiful. This is by far the best rendition of this song on RUclips. It has feeling, pauses where there should be, softer in the exact right places. Kudos. EXCELLENT JOB
Lovely! What a great example for other choral ensembles to hear. I personally would like the second verse to be more pp as noted in the score, but I loved it all! Thanks for sharing.
Interesting take! Could you elaborate on the vowel comment? I hear a few (2 or 3) chewy vowels but for the the most part they were all open voweled. Actually, I thought the blend was very good. It felt a little dry as a choir, but nonetheless, harmonies were great and I would use this recording as an example for my a cappella choir.
The best I have heard yet of one of my all-time favorites. Only critique is that conductor took a bit too long to resolve the last chord. All the parts were excellent!
You know, now that I’m thinking about it, I would like to hear a performance where they don’t resolve the last chord, I think it would sound interesting, but it probably wouldn’t fit too great with the style of the rest of the song
I believe there is a voice part in there that would end on the 9 of the chord being played if the chord didn’t resolve which could be a very cool voicing to leave in at the end
I sang this in high school choir over 23 years ago and it has been in my soul ever since.
This beautiful madrigal was sung live at my wedding as my own flower of beauty was escorted down the aisle. I stood there absolutely mesmerized.

Beautiful rendition of a beautiful classic.
I did this song two years ago for MPA and someone brought it up, so I had to listen to it. It still sounds beautiful.
Simply stunning!

A little quick for my taste and interesting vowel choices but wonderful!
