By the time he got there the shooting was over .. the shooter was barricaded and not shooting any more .. the agent said it himself . Plus the metal doors couldn't be breached by the local and city police .. when the tactical team got there they had to use a key to go in and confront the shooter .
That lady is a hero to her children. She went took her children out of the school, but this man is a different type of hero. A hero to his daughter and all the other children in the rooms he helped clear out. He could of stopped helping once he knew his wife and daughter were out, but he didn't. Even a border patrol agent wasn't in uniform but had the balls to take down the shooter after those minutes, If he was a Cop and arrive first he probably would risk his life to stop gunman before he could take 22 lives

In the introduction; “ he went in to save his own daughter & his own wife”, HOW is his actions being hailed as heroic? He was a “parent” like the others begging & pleading outside for the cops to save their kids, so how did HE get inside the school? Did the local cops left HIM go in? There’s been several reports from the beginning about cops going in to get “their own children”. Why is he doing interviews? He doesn’t see anything wrong with ONLY being concerned with his family. Cops will intervene even off duty in all sorts of situations, so even off duty he was still a cop, who should have cared about “protecting & serving” EVERYONE, not just his own.
I think he got there earlier than the other parents since his wife texted there was an active shooter .. by the time he got there the shooting had stopped that's why he was able to go in to a different part of the school where his daughter was ..
He admitted he went to the school to get his kid and wife out. But he ended up staying and letting kids exit their classrooms and the school to safety! He ended up being a hero. He didn't know where the shooter was!
Watch the interview again. He did take charge and focused also on the other children. Clearing out thenother classrooms. He did this not fully geared up. And he let us know it was not himself that actually took out the shooter and that the info out there was wrong about his role. He is still a hero. But I would like to know who took out the shooter also? Was there a hero that did that? Was there a border patrol man who killed the shooter when the local police couldn't muster up courage to go after the active shooter.
Why don’t we get an interview with the Border Patrol Agent that actually took out the shooter? How about that? Because I feel like this is a pointless interview, and I keep seeing him pop up in interviews as someone who can only tell us that he was trying to find his wife and daughter and help get kids out that other officers were already helping out at the time…

This guy! is this a green screen or is he in NYC making rounds at every news station. Omg! He only helped his kids and wife. He is like evey other cop that stood at that school and didnt do anything because he didnt have his gear. If u have a gun that is enough.
You need to ask yourself. Would this officer have gone in if he didn't have his child in the school? This is just my opinion but something tells me, he would have stood around just like the other cops and let the kids die. There were so many parents willing to risk their own lives to save their kids. Instead, they were detained by the police and made to watch while the police did nothing as their kids were executed. If you listen to what this officer said, he knew the police officers at the scene. Because of this, he was allowed to go in and save his child while being escorted by other officers. Since he was already there, he took the opportunity to save the other kids. Why weren't the parents who were trying to do the same thing given the same opportunity as this officer? What the officer did to save the other kids was commendable. However, again I do not think he would have done what he did if he did not have any kids in the school. And another thing, this officer commented that he believes all the officers on the scene did everything they could. I wonder if still would make that statement if he was prevented from going in and as a result loses his child.
I don't even live there and it affected me I cry everyday over all the mother's children I lost my daughter a year ago I lost my granddaughter for years ago I lost my son of year ago so I know they're paying I know they're hearted I know their sorrow and I think those officers were cowards

It is so crazy how border patrol is negatively scrutinized in south Texas with every decision they take. More often than not the media and people create negative depictions of this agency. He did the job that police officers were apparently not experienced enough to do in their own jurisdiction. All in all this situation is so horrific but if no one would have taken action to neutralize the threat, let’s face it their would have been more casualties. Thank you USBP.
People and the media don’t do nuance well. Even you are struggling with it in this comment. Border Patrol and the institution have plenty of just criticism. This man independent of his role as USBP did a heroic act that day. His heroic act does not absolve BP of genuine criticism.
BP is not above criticism as an institution. The enforcement methods esp those created under Trump are questionable & even inhumane. The CBP officer who rushed in & killed the shooter did so voluntarily & valiantly, it was not a CBP systemic operation.

Amazing those interviewers never asked how or why he got permission to go in to save his wife and kid, and not the other parents. More inconsistencies. But hopefully, the DOJ investigation will give us more truth.
I'm assuming they knew he was part of law enforcement and trained to use a gun etc... while most parents are probably not. Katie You might want to consider That Mr. Albarado had "special training" as a BORTAC agent, that no civilian has had..as much as I admire those parents who wanted to go inside, they would only add to the Chaos and confusion inherent in a LIVE SHOOTER event, and would ultimately end up getting themselves shot as well as preventing the children's rescue! i.e. They would have been in the way of the Rescue efforts..

Also when she asked about active shooter training, I will admit that I have taken CPR/First Aid training for more than 20 years and only had to use it once a few years ago when my co-worker had a medical emergency. You trained for it and it only kicks in when there is an emergency going on and how you respond to it.

And he let us know it was not himself that actually took out the shooter and that the info out there was wrong about his role.

You need to ask yourself. Would this officer have gone in if he didn't have his child in the school?

And also he had a gun and knew how to use it while other parents may not had a gun at all so they would have walked into a bigger massacre. Even Jake said he knew he was no match for the AR-15 having only a long gun.
@@shotjohnny he said he went into the building then changed it up midway saying he did not enter the building because he had none of his gear with him at the time. Does that make sense to you? If he is not on duty he is considered a civilian at that point so that wouldn’t make any sense either.
The DOJ will do nothing but cover up and put down the investigation by the Texas rangers.

Even the woman who went in to save her own child isn't a hero. Many people would risk their life to save their kid. Nothing heroic about that. Now had she gone classroom to classroom to evacuate all the kids? Yeah then we could call her a hero.
No hero here, the woman who went in unarmed evading those cowards to save her children is the REAL HERO!
….they’re BOTH heroes.
How is he a hero seems like a selfish act. The mom that went in she is the real hero.
He and the other cops never made any attempt to get the shooter the real problem and more died while he and the other cops were inside. This story is very confusing and there is more than what we know.
Nothing adds up or making logical sense. There is a dark side and hidden truth what actually happened.
He did all that while having a preexisting injury. Yet the 19 officers sat idly by not doing anything for more than an hour until Jacob went in. Thank you Jacob Albarado for what you did in evacuating the students and staff.
Also when she asked about active shooter training, I will admit that I have taken CPR/First Aid training for more than 20 years and only had to use it once a few years ago when my co-worker had a medical emergency. You trained for it and it only kicks in when there is an emergency going on and how you respond to it.
this Jacob Albarado guy is NO “hero” …when he & his family opened a gofundme ….for what??! He got his wife and kid out, he gave orders that he shouldn’t have which in turn caused more harm than good for those innocent babies….that gofundme he started is Blood money! I hope he apologizes and returns all that money to the grieving families that lost their precious babies!
No law enforcement was a hero that day
“Doing everything they could…” Which may not have been much, if they were following orders from above not to go in. It’s difficult to excuse, even then, though. Very very upsetting how the police handled this terrible situation.
This tragedy just increases the argument that everyone who wants to protect their selves and children should carry concealed. If you're relying on cops to save you are living in a fantasy world!
The police was told to not go in. Because they were told not to go in. Research false flag operations
wild Not really. There are plenty of dummies that support gun control even after this.
@@cesarmedina7080 Gun control doesn’t mean zero guns. Get a grip.
Children frantically called 911 from a dead teacher’s phone while nearly 20 officers stood outside the classroom for 45 minutes waiting for someone to unlock the door? We need more answers!
It's a giant steel door. They had no explosives or military tools to breach it. It's not wooden door
@@PermanentHigh Why not "Go through a window?"
The same windows that the kids were jumping out of? I'm just saying where there is a will there is a way! I'm Tired of hearing all of these EXCUSES! Where was the SWAT Team? Where were the FEDERAL agents? Outside tazing parents and cuffing them...EXCUSES!

How come we still don't know anything about who shot the gunman and how...
This whole time I thought it was this guy that killed him
For days the media has told us it was this guy. Big change in story. I never saw a narrative crumble like this.
The mum that was untrained unarmed and went and rescued her children is the real hero
HERO!! IT ALSO TOOK HIM MORE THAN AN HOUR BEFORE HE DECIDED TO ENTER THAT CLASSROOM AND KILLED THAT SHOOTER!! HE TOO FAILED😡😡 I SAW THE WHOLE VIDEO.
Nope. Not falling for this story. The only heroes in this story are the families of the victims who continue fighting for justice or accountability. Remember, the gunman remained alive for 77 minutes after entering the building unobstructed. Let that sink in.
I want to name the fierce mother who went in the school who is now being harassed for being a real hero!!!!! She’s a queen 👑
This is so vague, how did they get out.
Window,backdoor or what.
I hope this goes to trial, lawyers will GRILL him.
These reporters ask the dumbest questions.
They have already covered it you Jabroni. You're not trained young one.
What questions would you have asked? I think the reporters aren't military or former military, so what would you have asked?
Trial?
@@BlackSeranna exactly how did you get out,how many floors did you have a chance to get to,how many law enforcement officers were on site, just a few of those type of questions.
@@danielplayz6545 YES,....TRIAL.
Why don’t you guys interview the mom who risk her life to save her kids? You guys need to get her story out because the cops were scared and she was brave. She’s a hero
If he speaks against them they would crucify him so he doesn’t all law agencies protect each other; prayers to all the families victims of this terrible crime.
The first interview I saw with this guy he said he got there but didn’t have all of his gear so he decided to wait outside of the door. That interview is still available to watch. This story is very different from that one.
No don’t do that . there will be an investigation and everything will be on display .don’t jump to conclusions, not yet .
Where is the interview?
@@lilysungh6071 I don’t know how to link to other videos, but there is a Today Show interview he did the day before this one. In this one he describes himself being more assertive, for instance telling other officers to open doors and send the kids to him, that sort of thing.
@@mariolobos7120 I didnt make any conclusions in that statement. I simply pointed out that the story He detailed in this interview is different from the one he detailed in an interview the day before. I don’t need an investigation to observe this. I made no conclusion about why this was so or which one was more factually correct.
@@fun4me52 what part of the story did he change ?
We can clearly see in the recently released school hallway video that EVERYONE was standing around doing nothing for 30+ minutes. Even after hearing the shooter fire 4 times in the classroom it took them about 20 minutes to go in there. It's sad all around.
So who actually killed the shooter?
BINGO!!!!
We would all love to know and hear his story.
The narrative is falling apart as we speak.
He’s not a hero 🤷🏻♀️ he’s a coward like the rest.
This man was did what the police officers should've done since the beginning. It's an active shooter. You don't wait. You go in there and try to save as many lives as you can and it's the same whether you're on duty or not, as long as you're there.
Hello friend how are you doing today and how is your family doing?
The one woman who escaped from the cops and ran in to get her child is being harassed by the cowards who stood around making excuses for not going into an unlocked classroom and saving dying kids.
Why? Because she "makes them look bad".
They already have proven themselves to be cowards. Harassing this woman is only making them look worse.
Anyone who cares about their family woukd just get rhe H out of cowardly Texas.
Proud of you man. Thank you for taking the first steps.
He's still trying to protect his blue line brothers knowing they did wrong
God bless the innocent angels, their families, and this man
Not a single person in law enforcement was a Hero that day. Shame on them!
"I tried to get in there as fast as I could"-this hero knew time was essential. No gear,no communication, rescued multiple classrooms.
Hello Christiane how are you doing today and how is your family doing?
There's absolutely no excuse for any of these cowardly "officers" who were more worried about their own safety than the kids. They stood back and allowed all those injured kids to bleed to death.
The police proved that they were NOT "all about the kids". The kids were the very last concern of those officers in that hallway.
He’s a liar! He got there got his family and got out! Because they knew who this off duty cop was in no uniform with a firearm that wasn’t his! But other parents were not allowed!
How he a hero cuz he saved his own family stop the bs he ain’t try n go shoot the threat
For that lady to run in and get her kids that let u know she knew the cops wasn’t sh*t . She knew she couldn’t put her lives in there hands and that’s a shame . This is America
You are A Man, a Husband and a Father who went above and beyond any others!
They let him in to get his wife but stopped the other officer from saving his wife who he knew was shot and asking for help only feet away !
Why wasn't he stopped from saving his loved ones like everyone else?
He had a shotgun
Because he said everyone knows him. 🙄 SMH
He's border patrol. Border patrol was who eventually took out the shooter, so he would been called and gone had he had his gear. Dude was got the kids out of the classroom, so I'm glad he had the balls to go in.
The women who entered in got her kids out on her own with no weapons is the real hero in my book..
This guy is not a hero, and these interviews only asked softball questions. This was a horrendous tragedy and the media is refusing to hold law enforcement accountable for their cowardice in the line of duty.
Yes he is clown
He is no hero. He is a Glory Hound. He selfishly saved his own daughter while turning his back on all the other children leaving some of them to die.
I'm tired of the media treating this selfish punk as a hero.
He is a hero he killed the shooter when other police cowards just watched from afar.
@@magnetacyan5032 he didn’t
@@magnetacyan5032 He is NOT the one who killed the shooter. He saved his child and that is it. On duty Border Patrol are the ones who killed the shooter.
only a dad would do what he did...... you are amazing, thank GOD for you!!!!!!
21 people are dead. There are no heroes here!
Thank you and law enforcement that helped the children out, 🙏🙏🙏
Law enforcement allowed 21 people to be killed while they watched
What did the cops do for 74 minutes? Chicken sh&t
What? Law enforcement protected ONLY THEMSELVES and stood by KNOWING THAT CHILDREN WERE BLEEDING TO DEATH AND DIDN'T EVEN TRY THE DOOR! FOR 77 MINUTES, WHILE MERE 9 YEAR OLDS CALLED 911 AND BEGGED FOR HELP AS THEY DIED.
This guy needs to be elected Sheriff of Uvalde. He's clearly got more balls and backbone than the entire sheriff's and police department.
He was motivated because his child and wife was there. He was acting as a father and husband first. He didn’t even bother to get his gear to communicate with the delinquent cops to fight the shooter!
he didnt go to the shooting he went to his daughters class which was on the other side of the school not anywhere close to where the shooting was happening. Then he makes a gofundme asking for money for the haircut he didnt get.
No, he shouldn't.
He’s not a hero! He would’ve been a true hero had he gone in immediately not 77 minutes later!!
Guy he only found out when his wife called and that cannot be immediately
@@astronoman008 you do know what you said made no sense! He knew immediately. All of Uvalde police was there! Have you not seen the videos?! Get your facts right before you come one here! I stand by my comment! He’s NOT a hero, he like every other officer who reported on 5/24 should be fired!!
He rushed to save HIS wife and HIS daughter. But left everyone else to die like every other cop there. He ain’t no hero. He is still a coward like the rest of them.
Stop! That mother was the hero !
Thank you for going in when others didn't.

Just realised he acted because his kid was in there.........
but at least he clear out the classroom

Dude isn't a hero... he literally just lied and defended the cops saying "they were doing everything in their power" 7:20.
we all know now that his fellow officers didn't do anything and he probably wouldn't have gone in if his kid was not in there. I hope all these cops get fire or be put in jail for being cowards and waiting 70 minutes plus while kids were dying in the school. Uvalde police needs to be held accountable.
Give the woman who saved her kids despite the police holding her back a badge and a gun and make her Sheriff of the county.
