Timmy is my all time favorite Giant, must see TV when he was pitching. Wish they made him a Closer after 2012. Truly believe it would have extended his career
His coaches absolutely fucked him. If he had a comparable work load to the pitchers of this time or even his time he'd still be on the league. 6 straight 110+ pitch outings with a 130+
Yeah I remember back when he was huge it seemed like he was used a ton. I remember seeing him more than I usually see pitchers. Or just more often without many days off
if lincecum didnt have such a high workload at such a young age, i fully believe he wouldve stayed in the league much longer and avoided some of his injuries
He had a stretch of 4 years where he was good , and 2 of his world series rings he was far from the player he was posting above a 4 era he was not the reason they were winning at that point he was good for a short time just like Derrick Rose in basketball injuries are what stopped time from getting in the HOF
The Freak, great segment! His career is "almost' like; half of Koufax's when you consider his Cy Youngs, rings, and no hitters. He always had that west coast Washington alternative rock vibe. The same as Corbin Carroll. How about Andre Dawson (The Hawk).
I love your content! You’re getting me back into baseball. I especially love your 80’s video game style graphics and sounds --keep up the good work and you should start a patreon, I would contribute.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words! One of my goals with these videos is to reignite interest in the game, so that means a lot to hear that. I've actually been thinking about starting one, so I'll definitely look into it more!
My Gramma, brother, Mom and i all love baseball and watch just about every game we can, but i was sad i went to show my Gramma your Willie Mays video the other day, the day he passed, and i came to learn you don't have a Willie video yet maybe do the double Willie and do Mays and McGee
His debut was against a Juggernaut Phillies lineup, can't fault him for that. I almost think he should be in the Hall of Fame because of his peak being so high. The fact he was in the same draft as Kershaw and Scherzer are still playing today, really makes you wonder.
anyone know why he’s like never had a card in mlb the show? does he decline to be in the game? been wanting to use him or at least his motion for years
The photo of Tim at 1:36 is my photograph. I took that shot at Cheney Stadium when the Grizzlies played the Tacoma Rainiers right before Lincecum was called up to the Giants. Not sure how you came up with it outside of the fact that it's posted on my Flickr page. If that's where you got it, asking for permission to use it would've been nice.
@@SirDoggy1 I grew up in Pacifica four years behind him. Been a fan of his since I was eight years old and he was 12. I recently listened to his audiobook. I am Keith Hernandez… He mentions a lot of people and places I can relate to. Should be in the Hall of Fame.
@@bobbest8627 when he was with the Mets I used to go to Shea Stadium all the time and I turned 20 in 86 so you know that was a hell of a year, Giants won SB and Tyson became The Champ
Timmy Jim Jam!!! Unless you a Dodgers fan, I cannot think of anyone in my young years of being a baseball fan who didn't love this guy unless he was starting against their team. Straight filth. I don't use this descriptor often, at all. He is the single most filthy pitcher I've seen outside of my favorite Cubs pitchers of all time.
One guy who could be like that during certain years was Mike Mussina. Not sure how he stacks up statistically but when he was on it was over for your team and I feel like he's never talked about
Big time Timmy Jim was the Best ! 2 no hitters, 2 cy youngs, 3 world series championships .Tim should be in the Hall of Fame.
No. He was good for 4 seasons, that's it. That's not a HoF career.
@@fuktrumpanzeeskum sandy Koufax had 5 seasons of high level pitching... so that argument is highly debatable
@@fuktrumpanzeeskum 19.5 Career WAR
HOF is career award, not short term success. He went from CY Young to worst pitcher in baseball
No, he belongs in the hall of good.
Do it for 24 next has to be Willie Mays
I agree 100%
I agree.

Yeah I remember back when he was huge it seemed like he was used a ton. I remember seeing him more than I usually see pitchers. Or just more often without many days off
Dammit put Tim in the HOF! He definitely deserves it!!! Not to mention he’s one of the coolest guys to ever play the game!
if lincecum didnt have such a high workload at such a young age, i fully believe he wouldve stayed in the league much longer and avoided some of his injuries
His machines also didn’t help
This is why voting for the Hall of Fame should be left to the HOF players and not the sports writers
Yeah, they have dumb rules. They give writers waaaay too much respect for being pencil pushers who don’t appreciate history

Another great video. Thanks cam, keep it up!

Someone said Willie Mays and believe make sense to let younger generation know on how great of a baseball player he was.
I'll definitely look into it! Mays might be tricky with limited footage from that time period but if there's a way for me to do it, I certainly will
Great video!! He should absolutely be in the HOF.

As a Giants fan, Barry Bonds was the best I ever saw. But Tim Lincecum…he was my absolute favorite player!
please can you post a video of insane prime career gary sheffield I k know he's a popular player with many
fans that would be an awesome video :)
As a lifetime dodgers fan there was two people I would tune in and watch no matter what and that was Timmy Jim and Kershaw. What a time to be alive!
Their peaks happening together was a sight to behold!
Any real baseball fan would assume he HOF bound this dude was a monster!
Great video!
Thank you!
He needs to be in MLB the show
I feel like with his pitching windup it would be impossible to get a hit!
Been waiting smh
Just subbed. Great at stuff. We gotta get a Yadier Molina one, Cam!!!
I appreciate it, welcome to the team! And you're right, Yadi would be a great one

Still no Mike Piazza i see yet. He was drafted in the 62nd round. Which they don't even have anymore and made it to the Hall of Fame.
Had no idea...the more you know!
