    While his prime was short in the grand scheme of things, it was one of the most dominate primes I have ever seen. One could argue his second half of 2015 was the single greatest half of baseball any pitcher has ever thrown. I know as a Pirates fan I remember that run he had all too well.

      Agreed! 0.75 ERA is crazy... And that's the beauty of this series, it's not about just the 20+ year HOFers, it's also about those that took over the league for a moment 🔥

    Barry Larkin deserves his own video, he tends to get overlooked compared to the other 90s shortstops like Jeter, A-Rod, and Nomar, but he's easily one of the best shortstops in history as well as one of the best Reds players.

    Watching his rise from being his teammate at Plano East was a wild ride. If not for having tendonitis in his elbow his Junior year and varsity only having one sophomore on the team during his Sophomore season, he probably would have been a much more highly touted prospect coming out of high school.

    I love the insane prime videos it’s just that you choose some unknown players and not great players work on some players that are actually like at the beginning of the insane primes you choose comments that have the best players now you choose this dude that only cub fans know choose like MVPS that are good

    • @Cam23
      @Cam23  8 месяцев назад

      By that are you referring to current players or just the 100 WAR+ type players? Once the season starts expect the bigger names to start showing up. Offseason players were not going to include the Teddy Ballgame-type and Nolan Ryan-type players. Every once in a while though I don't mind doing a lesser known player like Arrieta because the prime was short but ridiculous.

    It's fun to see one of these videos about a player with a dominant prime who isn't quite Hall of Fame material. Along those lines, I'd love to see a video on Johan Santana. The guy was a beast with the 2000s Twins. Speaking of 2000s Twins, I am (once again?) asking for a Joe Mauer video.

    • @Cam23
      @Cam23  8 месяцев назад +1

      I'm glad you enjoyed it. These prime videos aren't all supposed to be the 20+ year HOFers, Arrieta and others belongs too!

    • @Cam23
      @Cam23  8 месяцев назад

      I can understand that, but the great part of a series like this is to show that 20+ year HOFers and a player like Arrieta who took over the league for a short time are both deserving of having their stories told. After all, it is the INSANE prime 😂

      The O's changed his delivery while he was in the Minor Leagues, which is why he kind of sucked for them. Once he was on the Cubs, they let him pitch how he used to, and the rest was history.
      The Orioles MiL pitching coaches and training staff were garbo back then. The only pitcher who "made it" was Bedard, but even he had health issues.
