Jake Arrieta's run with the Cubs was absolutely legendary! From struggling in Baltimore to dominating MLB and breaking records his story is one for the ages. Truly inspiring! 🔥⚾

This guy's aura was like no other, man. To add some context, the man was a lock to win when he was on the mound. Even in the second half of 2016 when he was finally becoming a little human, I just remember forums being darn sure of one thing. If Arrieta was on the mound, we were winning the ballgame. His confidence going into that Wildcard match against Pittsburgh is beyond legendary. If Anthony Rizzo was the Herald of Hope for the franchise originally, and he very much was. Jake Arrieta kicked the door down and wouldn't leave until you believed in that team and him.

I hate using wins for evaluating pitchers but 27-2 is insane!

Cubs getting Arrieta was similar to Sutcliffe in '84. He was something. Unlike Sutcliffe, he struggled with his ERA after winning the Cy Young.
