Also, is there some tuning/programming involved? Is flight controlled pre programmed? Or do we need to set up something, PID tuning and so on? I never built my own drone.
@@PinkeySuavo In my experience the setup process is especially difficult for these tiny drones. Betaflight stock settings are optimized for 5 inch quads, so it will probably fly, but tuning it would be advisable. But in general, if you build a drone like this yourself, you will have to programm a lot of things in Betaflight... Seting up the control link, video settings and channel, sometimes you have to configure the ports so that the different parts communicate correctly with each other. Depending on how deep you wanna go with it and what hardware you choose to build your drone out of, it can get really complicated. But the FPV community is pretty open, you will always find advice somewhere online.
You know about the floss trick to get the grommets in? You fold some dental floss over itself to get a little loop, feed it through the hole, and loop it around the grommet and pull it through
Flux should always be used. It not only allows the solder flow properly it also cleans as well. I recommend a NO CLEAN flux. Then I clean of the AIO with 90% rubbing alcohol. Always flux always. keep flying great build video, Thanks
I broke that canopy first crash. I really wish they printed it out of TPU like the tinywhoop ones that fit the pinch cameras. I love the design, works perfect for the walksnail whoop cam, just extremely fragile
You can get these rubber grommets in to the holes of the FC with some dental floss. Just put it arount the grommets, put the dental floss through the holes and pull it through
I hear “NAIL POLISH” strengthens the frames. MAYBE if your innovative and neat. You can make a silicone bumpers. Ads food coloring for color? Make a pre old if you can..
yeah, you probably only net .2g, but the FC is solder connected and lighter than cutting motor connectors than add connectors to the FC. not great weight savings, but avoiding weight gain.
Very good build video, I love how good quality videos you can make. Maybe I would try Betafpv Cross F4 Serial elrs, plus SEPARATE OVX300 VTX combo with 300mw max vtx output and easily repairable. Top tier pilots like T Dog are flying on this setup and I switched also, Its very good and ROBUST. You can check how it flies on my channel also will do DIY Tutorial how to build it soon ;) Cross AIO plus OVX300 with wire antenna inside meteor 65air frame weight approx 17.8G with Props and better BT2.0 Power wire
Thanks I appreciate it! I’ll check out your channel!! I have one BetaFPV build which I did a while ago. I’d just switch up the motor and camera mount now. I like that build a lot and it flies great!!
Eh, was very disappointed to see a NewBeeDrone build. I came here looking to replace my Hummingbird, its been an absolute nightmare. Ive had 2 Hummingbird V4 FCs and 2 Bee Eye cameras die, in pretty light crashes. Bee Eye camera is a car reverse camera and if you tap it wrong you get reverse lines. Plus, all of the issues with the "special" OSD chip. Mine never worked right on 2 different FC's, the OSD cuts out and flickers randomly. The motors are great but NBD uses "special" connectors, which makes it a pain to swap with anything else. Seems NBD wanna be the Apple of drones but they missed the boat. Proprietary parts don't work well with hobbyist. Feel like NBD could be great if they would get out of their own way.
I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience with NBD parts. If you looking for a different branded build. About year ago I made a similar video with betafpv parts: ruclips.net/video/0K-GTuGI6AI/видео.htmlsi=7Xm0cPyn9_pCHsWy If your going to build similar to the BetaFPV build I would switch out the canopy to something lighter and motors 0702 and higher kv.
While the BNF is a good option this one would be better for less weight and being a lot quicker. The motors in the BNF Hummingbird are 0802 25,000kv and on this build I used 0702 29,000kv. Also the frame and tpu cam mount save around 3 grams
Yes, NewBeeDrone helped and sponsored the video. Also BetaFPV sponsored and helped with my other whoop build video. I don’t receive cash from any brand but I do receive parts to help with build videos and content. Thanks for watching
5:30 Cleaning the area with alcohol first helps too. There may have been a film of oil or other residue from the manufacturing process.
Yes, great recommendation! Thanks
It's most likely from when the grommets were installed...
The only thing missing is to show how it actually flies 😊
I’ll have that up soon! Thanks for watching👊🏼
@@wynnfpv looking forward to it. Cheers mate!

Mb its not flying lol
Would be nice to have a small section at the end showcasing the drone flying and giving some feedback on pros and cons!
I’ll post another video of flying! Thanks for the suggestion👊🏼
Nice simple build, Wynn. Looking forward to seeing how it flies!
Thanks! I’ll be posting it soon!!

I learned that recently haha. I guess I was behind times😂 never learned the new trick😂
Good work, congratulations.
Thanks to you

That’s a great idea!! 😊
Pro tip, Flux is your friend! Use it on every joint, every time, it makes a HUGE difference. If its not smokin, you need more flux.
Thanks for the tip 👊🏼
heat the pad itself when you solder, dont just float molten solder over the pad :)
Thanks for sharing 😊
You need to try the tinywhoop pinch camera
I do!
Different soldering tips would help you. Look into soldering more. You’ll be surprised how deep it goes. Seems simple enough to most.
I’ve had the same soldering tip on there for ages lol. I have others just don’t take the time to switch them out😂 thanks for the suggestion 👍🏼👊🏼
I wonder if the weight of the 12 60/40 soldier blobs is less than .31grams🤔 of the connectors?
Haha true😂😂

Do you need a video transmitter for this build? Is it analog built into the fc?
The VTX is built into the FC.
Cool Video, Im looking at getting one soon, Can You do this but a 75mm??
you can easily take the same parts and just use a 75mm frame. Maybe you want to go with a 0802 Motor, but otherwise its fine.
@@schweizerluchs7146 aaah yea I guess that is true
Yes, you’d want to change the motors like schweizerluchs said.

Thank you for the video. Do you knoe if there is a tiny fpv drone with really good 4k video?
Yes, there actually is. It is a little bigger than the one I made in this video. I’ll put a link here: newbeedrone.com/products/acrobee75-hd-o3
@@wynnfpv Thank you 🙂
Use fross for the grummets and it's easier

can i use the 0802se 19000kv motors in this build ??

How long range this 25mw VTX is covering?
It does pretty good but I mostly fly right around myself.
Does that mean other camera from the site are compatible aswell?
Not all will work. Which were you looking at?
I can tell you, that the troubles you had while soldering probably comes from the wrong Tipp, also Not enough flux.
Yes👍🏼
Frame link is dead in the description
Interesting. Thanks for sharing… I don’t know why it’s not working
Hi, what googles and controllers to get?
I have the Fatshark dominators and the radiomaster Zorro. They work great with it👊🏼
Make sure you get the elrs version of the transmitter
@@wynnfpv Which dominators do you have? The most populars are the V3 and HD3
How far can it go?
It would fly for around 3min. Range, this one is more for racing right around yourself.
How much shipping costs?
I would say around $5-7 depending on location.
You literally built the hummingbird that they already sell for $89

no wonder had issues tinning, black soldering iron tip!! Clean tip (unless you a dirty girl!) haha. Nice info though!
you need to use flux and clean that tip of your iron man that things burnt to hell
Haha it’s an old tip. I used some flux but I think time to replace it😂😂
I got my 85mm drone and radio master pocket for 134 dollars 😀
Sweet!! There are great budget options!!
A 25mW VTX?
I'd upgrade to a better AOI
Thanks for watching and the input. What AOI would you use?
