Irish Boy yes. In ARK: Survival Evolved, Leedsycthis is a territorial aquatic hazard for people piloting rafts, as they will chase down ships and ram them from underneath. This was especially bad on a server I play on with my friends, where we made our entire base on a giant raft.
Jack Phillips Well at least Leedsichthys doesn't really care about people stepping into its territory anymore. Becouse its dead. And has been for over a 100 million years.
Whale shark isn't too small compared to the giant river monster, if this monster is about 8 times the size of a human being, that means it's Close to 45-48 ft, but the average whale sharks range from 41-45 ft which isn't too small.
@Del Deleon That's right the full name of this Fish is Leedsichtys Problematicus because they cant figure out it's right proportions. The estimated size varies between 9 meters (29,5 feet) to up to 27 meters (90,6 feet)
Not really. Dont beleive the commercial propaganda people sell. The idealized fantasy of the mysterious ocean isn't that mysterious. We have a pretty damn good grasp of whats in the ocean.
we have not thoroughly explored most of the ocean, but if there is anything worthy of the title leviathan, then we would of noticed it. large animals need lots of space, and lots of food. we would also see it on sonar, and we have used sonar pretty much everywhere.
jerrod lapham we Have mapped our the deep ocean trenches. Do you know how much exploration that took? There is plenty we Haven't explored but thats because we have a pretty good grasp of what's there. It costs too much just to find and study new microscopic species and trash and etc.
precisely. we have a pretty good idea of what is there, but we don't have the time and money to put each microlitre of water to intense study. its not worth it.
We know more about space than we do the ocean. Only a few times have we successfully went down to some of the deepest points. The ocean is bigger than all land masses combined. That's a lot of water to explore. So yeah there could be something huge down there and we would never see it. Actually it doesn't even have to be at the bottom of the ocean. The ocean is so vast that there could be a rare species of some creature that is only a couple hundred feet down.
The game ARK: Survival Evolved has very accurate representations of both these prehistoric beasts. The megalodon is very noticeably smaller (took three tries to line up properly because big fishy kept moving around) being around only a third the size. The leedsichthys has been speculated to have has the same temperament as every other plankton-feeder, which has also been reflected in ARK. Shame you can't tame the leeds in the game; however, you can pen them up as my tribe has had three and can be manipulated as a form of defense, one of said three took out 5-6 enemy-tamed megalodons as well as a few other things before it was killed.
And a whale is a big Mack A human is a tin fry A shark is a burger Tiny fish are straw berrys A snake is a edible straw Cthuluh for him its a big Mack That's how big it is

Megalodon's size is often exaggerated in pop-culture. There isn't even a consencus on its size. The approximations vary, going from 11 meters up to 16, similar to large Mosasaurs. Whale sharks can grow bigger than that. But yeah, Megalodon is the largest predatory shark we know of. Compare that to the largest recorded male Physeter macrocephalus sizes, and it's clear that even though Megalodon was monstrous, modern day sperm whales are substantially bigger. They might even be the biggest predators that have ever existed. Leedsichthys is now estimated to have been around 13 meters on average, with large individuals reaching up to 16 meters. The body sizes of these prehistoric creatures tend to be over-estimated at first, but it's quite typical that over time, as our knowledge grows, such estimations are reduced and lowered. It takes a while for this to reach the masses, though, and so when you read up to date scientific papers, you'll see more realistic size estimations, whereas pop culture still lingers on those truly gigantic estimations. Look at "The Meg", the movie, for instance. People just like to hear about 30 meter long Leviathans, and everything has to be bigger and larger and more mysterious than it actually is. I blame America for this, lol.

first blue whale is a mammal second : "but the leedsychnis is the biggest ever recorded" recorded??? its fucking dead how the hell did it get recorded?
Down Hill So is Leedsichthys. And also theres a reason why the largest animals on this planet all live in water. Water can carry that kind of weight, on land a creature of that size would be crushed by its own weight. Thats why a land creature could never grow up to the same lenghts. At least not on this planet.
Whale sharks are the most gentle giants, they feed off plankton and have never harmed a diver, young ones will even swim around with divers to play in the bubbles their tanks expel

I would be really exited if megalodon still existed thats probably how that plankton eater died im mean i love sharks if i saw megalodon i would dive into the ocean and chase the thing i like sharks that much
60 ft. is the biggest reasonable estimate. More importantly, it wouldn't last a week in today's world. _Orcinus orca_ has taken over every ecological niche it could hoard, and does it better too.
I'm disliking this video because of the bad reputation you are giving this gentle giant. First of all, stick to rivers. It's in the name, River Monsters. Secondly, this was no monster. You guys said it yourself: it's a filter feeder. Thirdly, 'small fry' is such a massive click bait title. It was only a few feet bigger than the whale shark it's obvious that you're trying to rake in views. Good day. I'll come back when you've come up with some *quality* content.

Isn't megaladon bigger then this fish
Nope
Teodus Filus ikr
Teodus Filus yes it is and this so called "biggest fish" can be fake not every thing you hear can be real
I was about to set up an argument and then I realized, oh my god you'RE RIghT
Its argued. No one knows the exact size of either one.
Bruh
Ah yes, I've heard of this giant fish. It was shown in "Chased by Dinosaurs" during the ocean episodes and was prey for Pilosaurs.
I'm more scared about those yellow things in your mouth
Somehow he forgot about the Megalodon, which would eat that fish as if it were a snack.
Emma7846 UGHHHH!! Another one?!?!?! megs only grew to 60ft that thing could grow to 80ft
not tru. Megalodon was smaller
I wanna see a size comparison between blue whale and megalodon
Gl0X
No one cares about size dumbshit, it's all about the power and Megalodon clearly holds the trophy when it comes to bite force, strength and aggressiveness. But hey you can keep getting asshurt for no reason whatsoever, offendatron.
Megalodons are overrated
Tbh it might still be around.
Oceans are so big and unexplored there could be anything out there.
Good thing I live in MN! :D
The blue whale is the biggest fish in this time we know of, but the leedsychnis is the biggest ever recorded
Nate Heitritter blue whale is a mammal and largest animal in history
first blue whale is a mammal second : "but the leedsychnis is the biggest ever recorded" recorded??? its fucking dead how the hell did it get recorded?
Nate Heitritter did I read that right?
Nate Heitritter the blue whale is not a fish at all dude, it's a whale
The Blue Whale is a fucking mammal!
Must be the fish from Jonas in the Bible😀
I somehow went from watching Bowling trick shots , to watching Animal Planet ._.
The megladon was over 75 ft
Alex Dumas No it wasnt, megalodon got to around 59 feet at max.
cole 143c 60ft
D0DaX What?
Down Hill 60ft not 75ft
Down Hill So is Leedsichthys. And also theres a reason why the largest animals on this planet all live in water. Water can carry that kind of weight, on land a creature of that size would be crushed by its own weight.
Thats why a land creature could never grow up to the same lenghts. At least not on this planet.
what about the megalodon
Pie Bucket Leedsichthys is also extinct.
Andreas Spyrou leedsithchtys is bigger
Whale sharks are the most gentle giants, they feed off plankton and have never harmed a diver, young ones will even swim around with divers to play in the bubbles their tanks expel
The bloop is fake go to bills
Leedsicthys isnt the bloop
No it is not
No one was talking about the bloop
pretty much half of the world read the title... "FISH"
This is LEEDSICHTHYS and is a extinct fish also is a filter feeder
GOD AND JESUS CHRIST AND MOTHER MARRY AND ALL THE ANGLES AND SANTITOS BLESS YOU GUYS AND YOUR FAMILIES AND I AM VERY HAPPY FOR ALL THE BLESSINGS AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP TOWARDS US ALL AMEN🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇🙏❤️😇.
Damn... you seem to like "angles"
What, what has this to do with science?
Fishing for likes
Jesus Herrarte Just let me enjoy my fish for once please.
you say angles, but you put pictures of angels.
It"s so terrifying and beautiful at the same time.
Megalodon is bigger than that pal, and megalodon could still be living as we havent yet explored the depth of mariana trench -the deapest place on earth- . I would be really exited if megalodon still existed thats probably how that plankton eater died im mean i love sharks if i saw megalodon i would dive into the ocean and chase the thing i like sharks that much
Jade Harrison Only very small creatur can survive the extreme pression in the marina trench.... and megalodon do not gros bigger than 20 meter...
*grow*
Actually Megalodon is bigger than 50 ft.
You won't chase it... *it* will chase *you*
Jk, there will be no chase because you'd be dead before you can swim away
60 ft. is the biggest reasonable estimate.
They don't need views. These are literally clips from a TV show.
@@Tales41 Nope LEEDSICHTHYS is 80+ feet lOl
@@beeheroin9402 i am not even interested in this topic sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, plus its 80plus feet. i cant find a consistent answer some say 20,50,you 80 i dont know what. OK.

Let me guess this video is about the overrated Megalodon?
nope
Griffer Doodle no
Griffer Doodle nah it's just the comments having a clusterfuck over megalodon even though it had nothing to do with the video.
I was watching Jake Paul how'd I get here?
Omg when it opened its mouth I was like “gasp nope!NOPE!! IM OUT!!”
