NDT has railed against flat earthers. It would be perfectly legitimate to then ask him why *he* cares that some people believe our planet is flat. He'd probably say something like because as scientists we know it's wrong. But when it comes to biology evidently science should be discarded according to him. Edit: Just thought I should fact check myself. So I found a couple of videos and this is what he says: "You want to think the Earth is flat, go right ahead. But if you start influencing other people who have power over other people and you have no foundation in objective reality it can be dangerous." All exterior Space Station imagery is produced in a giant water tank in Houston with a green screen background. Bubbles are often seen emanating from the space suits on space walls. East West circumnavigation works on both a flat and globe Earth model. Think of the flat Earth as a dinner plate with a magnetic north in the center. If you maintain a heading of 90 degrees East or West, you will arc around the magnetic north in a circle and eventually end up exactly where you started. North South circumnavigation is impossible on a flat Earth, however, because if you maintain a heading away from the magnetic north you will eventually reach the shoreline of Antarctica and see whatever lands exist beyond the known Earth Plane. But the Antarctica Treaty of 1957 has made such exploration illegal. No human has ever flown from Santiago, Chile across Antarctica, and landed in Sydney, Australia... because it is impossible as we're not on a globe.
It doesn't take many men to try to bully their way into places that women try to set aside for their own use. And some of the worst men in that regard are the transexual freaks with blue eyeshadow, lipstick and full makeup on their bearded faces, just trying to be "one of us girls", and if they don't like it the trans nazis will do their best to shut those places down on the charge of anti trans bigotry.
@@Jeremy-ql1or there will always be those that stick their noses where they don't belong. It's the same for some women. Tbh I'm more miffed at the thought of a woman looking at me and thinking "yea, he'd surely invade my yoga class", like ew, what kinda men have you been hanging around with?
It is really nice to hang out with your own tribe, people you can feel comfortable with, safe with, safe to have a laugh, safe not to offend unintentionally. So I agree that people and clubs etc should be allowed to have boundaries and restrict their membership if they wish. Like she said, there are are other places people can go and join. I hope Sall Grover wins her court case.
Her argument completely falls apart when it comes to race. It's OK for women to have a women's space and black people to have a black people's space, but you have to jump through these mental gymnastics to explain why white people can't have a white people's space. If you aren't being ideologically consistent then you're making an argument for power. Women need more power, black people need more power, etc. Now you can justify literally anything to get that power, as people always have.
I noticed this too, but I think it's more complicated than that. The argument for "power" is also often about protection, sometimes of a group that is inherently less powerful, sometimes not. It's based on the view that the group needing protection is vulnerable, less able, disadvantaged, a minority, etc. We don't exclude adults from winning the 5-year-olds' 100-metres because the children need more "power", but simply because they are less able runners. Ideally, we should exclude males from female boxing matches, because female boxers are vulnerable and less able. And we need female-only spaces of various kinds for the same reason: women are (in general) vulnerable to men's higher level of aggression, and should therefore have protected spaces. There is a problem. The balance of protection or power isn't always inherent and fixed. It can shift, sometimes in subtle psychological ways. This is what can be seen with majorities and minorities and their relative power and need for protection. We consider it ethical to protect minorities from being "overpowered" by majorities (psychologically or politically, etc., as well as physically), so measures are put in place to do that, but this can result in majority members feeling disadvantaged. Their range of acceptable behaviours are curtailed by the ethical measures trying to help balance the power, and that curtailment is (by definition) disempowering. So in the example, almost nobody would dare to set up a white-only event or group, while most of us wouldn't bat an eyelid at a non-white one. I think the issue took Sall a bit of guard, and maybe she'd have a different answer to mine, which is that we ought to resist the knee-jerk reaction to judge "white only" as racist, in order to afford white people the same right we take for granted the other way round. It's just hard to have rational responses to such emotive issues. Similarly, we can allow men's spaces, men-only clubs, etc. And I think Sall expressed these kinds of sentiments in her general comments. This isn't mental gymnastics that disproves the need for women's spaces.

But i think likewise, men should be allowed that too. Clubs where women arent allowed, sports, whatever. I hate double standards. This goes for race crap too. Either racism is allowed or its not. But it cant be ok for some and not others. So if we have black only clubs then white only clubs are allowed too. Period. Im not promoting white only spaces, im just saying on principle. The point about male/female being different because of the safety factor, yeah i get that. Those are two different issues. i still feel like i said about double standards. I would say we should be allowed men or women only spaces. I would say about the races, if black people want black only spaces then fine, but it opens the door for whites or any other race being allowed the same thing.
It’s difficult to take anyone seriously when they make absurd statements like “it’s easy to make men only spaces”. You’re only up against objective reality there lady.
She’s oblivious to all the lawsuits in the 80s and 90s (and beyond) to end various male-only clubs of various sorts, private boys schools, and myriad other single sex spaces. It was always the same: one woman was used as the figurehead for the lawsuit. “I want to join this men’s cigar lounge and I can’t. Separate but equal is unconstitutional.” The women almost always won. And if men could create something so intimidating that women wouldn’t try to get in, there would have been no push for women in combat units. In fairness, maybe this woman is only 10 years old and doesn’t recall how all this started? Otherwise she has a serious (not so far in the past) historical blind spot.

A very long time ago, probably 40 years ( god I am old) I was told the universe is infinite and expanding. I asked how they can know. I was told because that is what they think. It doesn’t really matter ( red shift and all that, I am not anti-science) if it is or isn’t doing either of the above things. What matters is teaching it as fact is just religiosity with numbers.
Overall pretty good, but she's completely wrong about it being easy to make a male only spaces. I've been to the gyms she's describing, and there are always tons of women there, especially since the rise of instagram. She also forgets that it only takes a couple of women to enter a male space to start demanding it change to fit them, and they more often then not, they win.
I entirely empathize with men about having their spaces and activities void of women, but men have to consider the weight of the fact that women had to fight for any right they had just to interact with society with dignity. Women didn't have public bathrooms or allowed to exercise for centuries.

I think someone here forgets that male and female only spaces were a norm before and, specifically male only spaces were torn down because some women thought it to be sexist and demanded to be allowed in. It's a bit weird to be told that you can create men only spaces easily, when even male bathrooms in clubs are full of women who don't want to wait in line to their own. "Oh, you can just create something that's so intimidating to women that they won't come"... Really? But you can't legally declare it male only. And when you do something that you don't even try to be male only, but it is because of little interest from women, some activists will still come in and just demand that you make it more inclusive and call everyone involved names - see fandoms, RPG, computer games, etc, which instead of being a source of entertainment, community and joy to the people, mostly boys and men, became politicized, activist and hostile to their original audience. I'm unfortunately old enough to remember the dramas in atheist or gaming online communities that were the first "high profile" cases of the above. I remember reading about lawsuits against golf clubs that didn't accept women. All these women "only wanted equality", while people asked why don't they just create their own spaces instead of forcing men to open theirs, and why is it wrong that men have their own spaces in the first place? And now, when the same laws require women to open their spaces too, comes a realization that we're actually not that equal in everything. Suddenly, after decades of crying sexism when men wanted to be left alone, you want to segregate yourselves because you don't feel safe. I agree with that, but the problem is that thanks to feminists, the laws changed. And, of course, the way this conversation goes, and the policies in general do too, the solution is special treatment for women. A consequence free rollback of requirements for women with the laws for men staying as they are. And it's frustrating to be constantly told, especially by the young feminists, how they need special treatment because they are women, and equality at the same time. And Tyson thinks he knows everything because he's a "scientist", so he comments on things that are completely outside of his expertise as if he was the most prominent expert and in many cases, he says things that are patently false or just plain stupid.

Women's modesty is a right, not a civil right, not a privilege. Currently, a part of society that includes both men and women sanctions the infringement of this right. Women have the power to restore this right through some Budweiser-ing.
Which women? Women largely created this through feminism, and the vast majority of people who actively push and support trans mania are - guess who - women.
Exactly. A pack of overpaid Hollywood stars who played the game while it benefited them, then turned around and cried victim - all while making millions. Calling me too "grassroots" was absurd, and her claim that "powerful men" somehow transmuted "me too" in to gender mania is delusional.
Race can’t be compared to sex. Race actually is a social construct that is very much a spectrum. You are either male or female. You can be and most like are a mix of “races”, ethnicities, and nationalities. If you create a male- or female-only space, it’s very simple to determine who can and can’t use it. A “white” or “black” only space immediately raises a plethora of questions of who is “white” or “black” enough because these aren’t actual biological differences.
Race is not a construct, you just have to have a pair of eyes to know this. Anthropological science recognizes there are 4 major racial groups, Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid and Australoid, those 4 can then be further subdivided into as many as 30 subgroups.

I agree with most of what was said here, but me too didn't end because of some manipulation. It stopped because people rightly realized how absurdly stupid it was to blindly believe all accusations without evidence. A large number of women made up accusations to get revenge on some guy they hated and others didn't even hate them, they just wanted the attention and pity from making an accusation. It was an inherently dishonest movement and deserved to be stopped.
A vast majority of men are perfectly fine letting women have female spaces but then women will not let men have spaces. Not only can men not have spaces but then laws and rules are made to make sure women are invited and feel comfortable to the point it does not feel like a male space anymore. "You want to think the Earth is flat, go right ahead. But if you start influencing other people who have power over other people and you have no foundation in objective reality it can be dangerous."
"Being wrong becomes being harmful to the health, the wealth and the security of our citizenry."

Familiarity makes people feel comfortable. When you go on a cruise ship, you don't let the ship select your roommate.
In Australia she's got a tough battle, it's effectively her against the government and it's full of hypocrites and liars.
Thank you, she lost me at that point. There needs to be consistency for the argument to hold water.
You think people are just going to give you "power" ?
Totally agree- I was hoping someone else would comment about that
These two are a couple of Wht antiwhts.

As I said, atheism is the rejection of a single proposition, that’s it.

Or I could be a wrong, I'm not saying I'm 100% sure.
He gets a pass because of his "useful idiot" status.
Women's modesty is a right, not a civil right, not a privilege. Currently, a part of society that includes both men and women sanctions the infringement of this right. Women have the power to restore this right through some Budweiser-ing.
Which women? Women largely created this through feminism, and the vast majority of people who actively push and support trans mania are - guess who - women.
you think the metoo movement was grassroots? 🤣
Nothing is grassroots at this point, it's all astroturfed.
Exactly. A pack of overpaid Hollywood stars who played the game while it benefited them, then turned around and cried victim - all while making millions. I've worked in the legal industry and in health, and I can tell you - "real" problems exist in how women in those (and other) industries are treated - and yet not a WORD about any of that.
@@DukeRhodes but obama is always referred to as a black man even tho he is half white. Its socially acceptable to call him black because he has those prominent racial features. People identify themselves for the most part because the only way to know exact dna is through tests
There are people who don’t easily fit into these categories (race and gender), hermaphrodite, mixed race (most of us are mixed).
@@DukeRhodes Who all intermarry and produce children.
Yes, exactly. Trans-racialism makes more sense than trans-genderism. Idk about race being a social construct, but sex definitely is not lol
I don't agree with women not trying to get involved with men only spaces. Not only do they want to get involved, but they want to come in and change everything about it as well. This is a tale as old as time.
She's too optimistic about the proportion of the world that respects women's spaces. She ignores the Islamic world.
In Canada, women's advocacy won a court case requiring the YMCA (Young MEN'S Christian Association) to accept women .... Not so for YWCA.
NDT just another mouthpiece for the establishment
Tickle Vs Giggle will never not be a funny headline.😂
I agree with most of what was said here, but me too didn't end because of some manipulation. It stopped because people rightly realized how absurdly stupid it was to blindly believe all accusations without evidence. A large number of women made up accusations to get revenge on some guy they hated and others didn't even hate them, they just wanted the attention and pity from making an accusation. It was an inherently dishonest movement and deserved to be stopped.
Also lol this lady trying to say she ghosted Matthew Perry. Girl you're not that much of a catch. The more she talks the less I want to listen
She ghosted a bot. Early MySpace days I got friend requests from big time celebrities. I never thought they were real. It was all just Tom.
nice dodging the race exclusion issue, but hey host is one of them . . .
They go crazy because of their ego. Noam Chomsky denied there was a genocide in Cambodia.
Denial is Chumpsky's entire career. He only tells non threatening truths.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson, the high priest of scientism.
This woman is only right about NDT, the rest of this conversation is a lost cause.
She’s just another modern light feminist and he is just a Simp.
A vast majority of men are perfectly fine letting women have female spaces but then women will not let men have spaces. Not only can men not have spaces but then laws and rules are made to make sure women are invited and feel comfortable to the point it does not feel like a male space anymore. The things being complained about with the guys in women's space women created it to be like that.
What are you on about? "LETTING women have female spaces". Gee, thanks? Men have their own spaces. Women deserve their own spaces as well.
@@kaygee2121 He is saying men don't have their own spaces.
@@SomeGuy486Because Men allow Women to invade than turn around and bitch and moan about Women invading. Men like playing victim in today's world.
@@SomeGuy486Tells us why you need them?
Women and girls have many tangible and proven reasons to need our own spaces.
Tell me, why do men need their own spaces?
@@SomeGuy486 and he’d be wrong. Men have their own sports and bathrooms and clubs and change rooms and as we just heard Sall say gyms too if they want…women no longer have any of those. The guy probably just thinks women shouldn’t be allowed his preferred profession or politics or his favourite bar and is salty that THAT actually is discrimination so he’s conflating sharing participation in society with single sex spaces…it’s always that when you investigate their claims of ‘lacking mens only spaces’ far enough.
I never got a single good vibe off grassy tyson, dude sets off my creep alarm.
It wasn't grass roots 😅😂
Sounds like this lady is for freedom with exceptions type
The only person who interrupts more that Tyson is Jordan Peterson. Ugh he's relentless.
Yes. Egomaniac narcissists.
They come from the same school. Our Sister of Moral Superiority.
She's obviously not familiar with all the times women have gone to court DEMANDING access to previously men-only spaces, like clubs, etc.
Like what kind of spaces?
A club is comparable to a female wardrobe? Ok then...
Sports teams
Sports locker rooms
BOY scouts
Service clubs
Fan clubs
Gyms
Did they dress up as men?
@@bobsmith5441 boys scouts.
There’s a reason he over compensates by being extra woke. He’s terrible in person.
I sincerely hope this person prevails in her lawsuit, and her app is allowed to continue. It's not an 'ism' to want to connect with your closest peer group without the noise of outsiders.
Fear all men?!? Maybe you've picked the wrong guys. Most men are decent & do not take advantage of, or harm women.
He is the typical small minded intellectual.
She is being completely disingenuous about male spaces being protected because women choose to self exclude. There is constant pressure for men's clubs to admit women and feminist attacks for being discriminatory.
While I personally support male and female only spaces, I find the argument here ironic since women used the legal crowbar to rip open male only spaces and have them abolished.
In his facebook page it says Actor as his occupation i think that says it all
Neil has SA women in the past. Hence, he must listen to his masters if he wants to stay relevant
Nailed it. Every person on TV is compromised, or a useful idiot.
Neil checks both boxes.
I don't think the guest should be taken to court or harassed. She is a sexist though. Splitting the sexes to discuss things in an echo chamber is stupid. People would be outraged, if men would create such a space. We would never hear the end of it.
4:38 this is the quote
I agree, Neil can't let anyone complete a sentence. I love cosmology, physics, and space, but I can't stand listening to Neil interrupt people constantly. If he's just narrating, I can listen.
Narcissist.
So a minority can exclude any and all others, but the majority must be fully integrated and have no exclusions. So basically an Aristocrat and Peasant system. Great..Progress!!
3:58 bully is precisely how I’ve described Neil for some time now and for the exact same reasons.
Just cause you’re smart in ONE area
Which area is that? He can't even navigate the space between his ears.
NDT has contracted the celebrity disease - thinks he knows everything about everything and thinks everyone cares what he thinks.
The vast majority of people have a very narrow range of expertise, including NDT
Sall is wonderful. She sees so clearly through the 'gender' shite, and is able to express her insights brilliantly. I'm a big fan.
I had a long post reguarding the women invasion of men's spaces, as well as the desegregation in the 1960's. But It became so obvious that the women had no history of the reality, unless it is a British vs. US thing, to have it make sense to her.
DeGrasseTyson has gone off the rails and I stopped listening to him some time ago. But just as I was beginning to think that Ms Grover knows what she's talking about, she says that Me Too was replaced by Gender Ideology because of men. Conveniently forgetting that Me Too died because they went too far and eventually lost credibility. That was women's fault, not men. Also, Gender Ideology is a disagreement between different F*nist ideologies, so again, not men. Women like Ms Grover caused this mess and men should do what they have been told when it comes to women's issues and stay out of it.
DeGrasse Tyson may be a nutcase, but Ms Grover isn't far behind.
What about men only space that women have forcefully invaded and destroyed?!
5:44 😂 “leather nipples”
LOL, she believes nasa "not a space agency" and the government. Do you really believe you are living on a ball spinning 1038 mph, flying around the Sun at 66,600 mph, going through the universe at 1/2 million mph's yet the stars are in the exact same place for thousands of years? How utterly ridiculous.
