What do you think about the R-5? I have an opportunity to pick one up. Looking to make mostly techno. Of course most people want the electronic card with the R-8 but this one doesn’t use cards. What do you think of the stock samples?

I got the R5 because I wanted something different from the typical 808/909 sounds, it's got some good Latin sounds, electronic kick, snare and toms and you can edit them to your liking. If you like the sounds of the 707/727/505 then you'll love the R5, and they're really cheap and built like a tank!
