@@CaseWoo don't mention it, this is a cool video and goood music. I have a question about Volca Drum: how flexible is it in terms of sound? Could you, for example, dial in dnb percussion sound or deathcore kick? I am on a verge of buying the god damn thing...
thank you again for demonstrating a more techno, darker, proper, bouncy character of the drum. after listening to all those bleep and plop and klöck videos i was mildly disappointed. different taste in sound beside, but even the guy from korg seems to be not aware what lurks under the bonnet of this machine. so, case woo, excellent jam again.
@@CaseWoo yeah.....always coming back to this. serious techno machine withthe potential for a techno live-set. asking myself: is there some potst fx going on? especially the kick drum has such a huge body ( no other drum video came to that). or is the sound straight out of the machine? if the last one is the case i will order it directly.
This is such a perfect description. Honestly I've had my volca packed away since I've been working on a project but damn these really deep sounds are making me wanna bust it out!!!
@@georginikolov1141 Yeah, artists definitely shouldn't get recognition, they should stay obscure and unknown so you can feel cool that you like stuff no ones ever heard of
Yeah, it is surprisingly versatile instrument and that's also why it's IMO such a shame it can't take midi notes in. :( Luckily there are really cumbersome workarounds. But man, it would be so awesome, if it would support straight up notes as it is. And also a shame, that it doesn't have USB, so it's pretty much a zero chance Korg can make a firmware update later for the midi notes, when it comes to existing units out there. :( Otherwise it's a great device for its price.
Banging. I so want this after hearing it’s synth bass capabilities. I guess it’s 6 tracks of any noises you like rather than labels drums. I’ll own this next week no doubt because of this demo.👍
This is a banger of a jam, thanks for sharing, and as I’ve just picked up a volca drum a week ago it’s also educational, though I can only dream of crafting anything near this level haha
This is incredibly good stuff! If you could somehow get all the internal parameters and component states and events out as signals for visualization, moving lights, screens etc. this could fill a big stage in a live show.
Not even kidding, when you hook this thing up to an Octatrack and run the audio back into a thru machine, using the OT midi sequencer with this thing as a sound module, between parameter locks, conditional triggers, and 8 tracks of midi LFOs... it's basically a battery powered Machinedrum.
@@eskee1 I source my dopamine from imagining hypothetical scenarios where people read my comments and are impressed by my vast amount off regurgitated knowledge. thank you for your contribution.

At that point, I just selected part 3 and vary my SEND amt to the WAVEGUIDE, and how profound the "shine" is really depends on what all your knob settings are. Sometimes it shines, sometimes it doesn't. Depends. You have to play around and experiment a bit until you get what is going on.
This is so good. And like a few other commenters, after seeing this video I’m ordering one of these beautiful little machines. Perfect to ride out the rest of the housebound time until Covid is dead here in USA. Thank you for this inspiration. ✨

Buy one and play with it! Seriously. Also lookup how to synthesise drum sounds! The drum has several nice envelopes for really punchy sounds and a rarely seen ratcheted envelope great for claps and weird basses!
It sounds like something that would be straight out of Cyberpunk 2077, facing off against mega-corpo heavies, ruining ALL of the nice hallways with blood, bodies, and gunshots, and hoping you can dodge the streetgangs long enough to complete the mission.
I came back to this after a year and it is still a banger
Thanks you Marcin!

Just this little box.
You should get a big reward from manufacturer for this awesome techno presentation of volca drum .
jamming the volca drum on battery power like a madman.
I did that with mine and the batteries ran flat pretty quick and was like okay power supply it is 🤣🤣🤣
😅
Hi does it come with AC power pack? TIA
@@izziOnBass I got mine a little while ago but no I don't think it does
thanks@@qyurryusss
The volca drum is so good for techno and the bass it can kick out is insane.
This, a Volca kick, and an Elektron analog heat would SLAY.
One of the best performances I've seen on the Drum. You squeezed anything techno the drum has to offer. Well done !
Best jam on Volca Drum I've ever seen! Cleverly done.
This Volca is a beast! But the fingers bending it to the limit make the difference!
Suprisingly the nicest volca jam ! Thanks !
Best thing about this machine is it sounds nothing like drums! Great performance
Feel what you have created. A real powerhouse. 🔊🔥🔊🔥🔊
This synth is build for techno 😂 Awesome man
this is the best sounding video of the Volca Drum, thank you.
Thank you Andres.
Yea man, it’s hard to get a good bass out of this thing
This one is the best Volca Drum Solo jam so far!!
You need to get commission from KORG - you just sold it
i agree
true
+1
I starting to think about it, powerful job
I agree
Best demo of the volca Drum so far
Sounds great! You can use the pan to split it into two channels and then run the lows and highs through separate processing.
Right to the music
no crappy noises, just business
thank you, thank you
this is how to sale units.
korg needs to take notes. Lol
Got my Volca Drums yesterdayand its a great little machine. But I never thought it was capabale of making a full techno track solo!
Thanks for the video! : ) Really nice sound! How are you doing the thing around 9:25 ? It is very interesting!
Amazing. Just got mine. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing jam, this is way more than just a drum synth. Love it
Thanks Ben!

Half way into this vid, and then bought the volca drum! Hyped!
and then I bought one. thanks for the inspiration!
Inspired. I've only had my Drum and Modular a few weeks. Belting jam.
Wow, learning so much about the machine just from trying to copy what you have done here. Love this thing.

You could too.

What’s the background synth lead? I don’t see that part on the korg lighting up?
Hmm could it be track 3? Most of the time I don't even know when a synth sound emerges during randomisation. But that is why I love this machine.
About to buy one of these things
