The fact that it has a built in "reverb" makes it so powerful when you only have a stereo output mixer and one set of pedals. The Volca Bass is also an amazing and often overlooked Volca. The main drawback to both of these is the sequencer, but you can use something external for that.

Looking to pair a 70CDR with a Xone92. So glad to have found this demonstration. Would be curious to learn, if you feel the 70CDR offers too many options to play with in a live setting? Lots of features built into it, but I wonder if it's too complicated to busk with.

@@krostifmusic you need an TRS Adapter Type A - only that one will work. There are other similar adapters that won't work, which really is annoying. It's really not simple... 😄
Great job! Love what you're doing with these two. Never did buy the Drum, but probably should've. Beats was one of the first Volca's I bought and it's my least favorite for sure. Love the FM though for sure. Oh and can never go wrong with that MS-70CDR. Great stuff! Dig the Dub vibe!

Sorry it isn't shown in the video but you need a "mixer" to put them together. Lots of choice from a cheap passive one to a big multitrack console. In this vid for the cdr, the volca fm output goes directly in the zoom pedal and zoom output in the channel mixer. Some mixers also have send/return which you can use to send on any channels you need, useful if you have several synths :) cheeers !

It's honestly interesting to hear the Volca Drum making less agressive, more subtle percussions compared to the other jams, it works really well imo.
Volca drum has a distinctive sound signature, that's what makes it so great to me.

No idea of how it works with a xone 92, but you can organize your favorite effects or chain effects in 70 cdr for quick calls in a live set :)
