Mate honestly this is so inspiring. I have all 3 of these. Keys for 2 years, Beats 1 year and bass 2 weeks. I put down my best techno jam yet last night which I’m so psyched about. I went search for more inspiration and you have given me it.
Nice! Thank you YT algorithm for popping this in my feed. Have just gotten a pair of Volca Keys (soo, soo good) and a KeyStep Pro, this has given me some much-needed inspiration. Gonna tie it in to my Volca Bass and Drums next
Great track. Amazing for a noob to creating music. The Volcas are awesome. I have the Bass and just ordered a Keys. Hopefully will be in my hands early next week. I read somewhere that the filters are the same on both Keys and Bass which were filters from a Korg synth in the early 70s. Great use of recycling.
Same here. Exactly the kind of vibe I’m looking to create. A used keys is on the way and will look at bass now. Have a used drum brute impact for now. Great work here!
Jason Andrew I have the keys and beats. I used the mono for my bass and it was amazing and so much fun. I’m still thinking of buying the volca bass though, that thing has some powerful sounds in it.
Very nice. My question is how have you synced? I can see the Volca Bass is synced "out" to the Volca Keys "In" but nothing from/to the Volca Beats? I was thinking you could have had the Beats synced to the Bass then from the Bass to the Keys or am I missing something here?
There's no sync between the beats and the other two volcas. You can see that the tempo on the beats is a lot higher than the bass/keys and the bass/keys tempo is set really low.
hello i just got my volcas home (bass, keys and beats) :) i have a question, how do you mic/route it up ? how does the sound chain work before it reaches the output?
Hi did you ever figure this out? I would like to try and sync up my Volcas but I don't know how to route the outputs. I have a 2 channel audio interface, but I am curious how to hook up 3 devices at the same time. :s
Hey guys you’d either need the volca mixer, a mixer with 3+ 1/4 line inputs (and 3 1/8 to 1/4 adapters), or a 3+ input audio interface (plus said adapters and probably a computer with a DAW unless the interface has a stand alone mode).
@@isaacderr2799 i bought a Behringer xenyx1202 mixer witch souited my needs better, now i can hook all my volcas up and my mic and guitar all through one mixer :)
Ohhhh, man, loved this! Hey, this is better than ASMR!! (no offense to those who like that, though). Wow, what an amazing piece of sequenced electronic music. Definitely two thumbs up! (Hmmm, perhaps I WILL subscribe to your channel...)
@@outofsine4583 I need to remember to try this sometime. I'll occasionally get frustrated at how two volca parts go together due to the tempo issue. I need to remember that if I don't sync them I'll be able to subdivide. Great tune, cheers!
Hold func button while turning the volca on, then press step 5 followed by rec button. Now you have set your volca to full range: 10-600 bpm. Note the volca will restart after you press rec
Is it possible for you or anybody here to kindly explain how these machines are connected to each other and how they’re recorded? I would love to know how as I want to do something similar with my korg gear. Thanks
Nexus6ipad bass sync out to keys which can run at 1/1, 1/2 and 1/4 tempo. Beats is not synced. Just tried to start its tempo manually so probably a little out.
I'm just getting started and bought some Volcas, awesome inspiration, thanks! Knowing what you know now, would you stick with the zoom for recording or go another route? Also, are those Grado's I see? Which ones, and would you recommend any particular model or other brand? I went entry level with the SR80e.
Thanks :) I still don’t know that much, the zoom is sufficient and was more out of convenience. I would still use it. Nice spot on the headphones, they are Alessandro MS-1. Again just what I have at hand, I was using them out of comfort. With Volcas, just throw caution to the wind and play.
Trust In The Universe well, depending on what you wanted you could either plug them all into a mixer and output that into your audio interface, or you can just plug all three directly into the interface as long as there are enough inputs on it.

Whoa this is so good. Great example of using the volcas for something ambient and not too techno. Great jam!

Love what you can do with these Volcas. Lots of sound in these little boxes
I like how you used bits of tape to mark the scale. That's a good idea.
Great Stuff. Glad someones using only the volca,s to create and show us how to use them with a slower tempo. I am Very impressed. !
this is Beautiful;l.. great work.. with the Volcas.. I love mine..
Good on you to show your first go. I'm still in the experimental stage of putting something together.
I'm a noob too, so keep holding it down for all of us!
Lovely filter on that bass! A nice tune for those long, late night drives.
Thank you. Yes I love the filter on the bass!

Nice sounds. These little boxes are simply amazing.
Nice, enjoyed that, good showcase for those little machines
ive watched a lot of volca videos and this setup seems like king. with beats bass and keys. when the bass came in my soul left my body
This is great, you really got every drop out of those 3 volcas! I love these minimal jam videos on youtube, they are addicting and inspiring to watch.
Same here. Exactly the kind of vibe I’m looking to create. A used keys is on the way and will look at bass now. Have a used drum brute impact for now. Great work here!
Very nice!
shit, that's tasty. like how the kick kicks in and rumbles through
This is really cool. I wish I can make something as sweet as this. Hope you make more!
That was fantastic. I just now got into these. I sync my Monologue to my Volca Sample and I just ordered the Bass!
Jason Andrew I have the keys and beats. I used the mono for my bass and it was amazing and so much fun. I’m still thinking of buying the volca bass though, that thing has some powerful sounds in it.
i love the intro on the keys, so etherial, unexpected.
Great for your first time! I'm not even that far along yet.
I have learned how to plug in my adapter not bad going for a week.
This is sick! Seriously good if you're truly new.
sounds amazing really cool
good first take!
well done!
Great job! So cool!
Sick Jam bro!👌 One of the reasons why I love my volcas.🎹🎧💫😵😎👍BrAp oN!!¡!✋✌

lol so happy to find someone else who puts sticky notes on keys to remember them lolol
Damn, this deserve a lot of more views. I love it.
it was amazing. Just keep doing it, it almost feels meditative to me
the bit/sample rate on that zoom must be adding something bc there’s pleasant digital distortion on this, pretty cool!

One year later... Still lovin it!

Great jam :) well done
Sounds very good!, Great job
👍 off topic. Handsome watch on a NATO what is it? Thx
It's a SMITHS Military PRS-29
You sholud make more videos man!
Thanks, hope in near future.
Awesome live jam !
Synth community is so nice lol. Good jam
this made me cry.. wow
Pretty amazing for the first try!
Офигенно!
Wow. Nice 👍
Interesting. We have been doing similar things lately. We have a few jams around it.
Nice jam.
really nice.
Nice track!
What's the blue tak on the Keys for?
Cheers!
Thanks :) Just ripped up a sticky label and stuck them to indicate keys of a scale.
Oh! Nice trick ;)
Cheers!
Nice! How could you make Volca Bass steps longer than Volca Beats'?
Thanks Roberto. The Volca beats is not synced, so they are at different tempos.

Amazing jam! How did you set so low bpm on volca bass? I can't set it less than 56 bpm. Thank you!

10-600 bpm. Note the volca will restart after you press rec

So so good. May I ask a question- what was your bpm? The bass pattern seems quite longer than anything I can string together.
Man those volcas really sound amazing. Good on you for this
holly shit i didnt know these little dudes were this powerful

nice! I love volcas to
nice mood
wow !! great track!
Super.......
How do you do to have that long pattern sequencer on volca bass?Half tempo?
This is what deadmou5 would sound like after a mild stroke. Good work dude. The deadmou5 thing was a joke. Hopefully I can get this good.
I can see beats is not sync with the other two, in which tempo are they set?
nice!!
Impressive!
AWESOME
4:05 😍
why dont you sync beats with other volcas?
I wanted to run the beats at a different tempo.
What did you use to mix this?
I can't remember, possibly from the Belkin Rockstar or a Boss BX-4.
how do you sync tempo? bass and keys have a half tempo than beats.
Nexus6ipad bass sync out to keys which can run at 1/1, 1/2 and 1/4 tempo. Beats is not synced. Just tried to start its tempo manually so probably a little out.
I actually like the slight off sound with the beats not synced with the rest. i think it's a nice human touch.
SpawnoftheEd yes I agree, it sounds like a heartbeat

Love this! How did you do the arpeggio??
Thanks, I recorded it via midi in.
How would you go about recording this into a daw?
Trust In The Universe well, depending on what you wanted you could either plug them all into a mixer and output that into your audio interface, or you can just plug all three directly into the interface as long as there are enough inputs on it.
Bravo
What is in the memory for the keys? Is it the same melody with variations? (Great set btw 🙏🏻)
Great…thx!
I dig it! I've heard much, much worse from much, much more experienced people.
nice Job!!!!
Cheers :)
anyone know how to take a performance like this and put it into ableton?
eddie pearson do you mean just record the audio and import it into Ableton?
connect all this to an usb interface instead of the zoom recorder and record in ableton.
Analogue Trinity with digitally aliasing ... ;)
whats the zoom thing for im new to the 3 aswell im finding it difficult to mix with tbh .i get so far then..im like what nexst
The Zoom H2n is a portable audio recorder, doubles as an audio interface in iOS. I mixed using the volume knobs on the Volcas to a Belkin Rockstar.
Dang
did you actually listen to this mess? total crap.
