We found our way back to Yello Belly Drag Strip, a Texas track with one of the wildest atmospheres we've seen at a drag strip! The starting line is insane with how many people gather up to watch and make plenty of side bets. In this video, you'll watch one of the small tire races put on that weekend and it was what we had hoped for! Tons of fast cars and close races, exactly how we like it!

Fred always so great at making people feel welcome. That kid with the Falcon seemed nervous, maybe first time on camera, and Fred was cool with him. Compliments him and relates to him all in one meeting. Introduces himself and is genuine with him. Good on ya Fred.

I live local to Yellow Belly, this track is a BIG mess. Way too many people around the starting lanes which are small to begin with. Accident waiting to happen.
its been that way since forever and it's what makes that track as iconic as it is, reminds me a bit of that track that they host War in The Woods.

The Gut is where I spent every Sunday for 25 years. It's on like Donkey Kong. Yep, get hit standing on fence, it's all on YOU. BTW, Yello Belly splits city and river bottom boundaries. You call 911 and ain't NOBODY coming. There's a hella story why. The stories I could tell.

@@joshreynolds729 Hot summer evening, Kennedale had let out and these tube chassis race cars unload at Yello Belly. OG Paul drives the sketchiest 73 Vega wagon to be found. This Hans Fuestel tube race car comes up for a grudge. The only thing quicker than Paul smashing his wheelie bars was the back hatch flying up. The flames coming out of Paul's big block headers 10 foot long lapping the tack making toast. He gapped race boy so bad he must have just got scared at the sight. Paul didn't have front brake rotors and crashed into the berm at the end of the track. Paul was a round man not much taller than his Vega. He got out, pushed her out of the ditch and headed around to collect. The crowd has gone wild, someone asked "Paul how many kits you hit off the line?" He just smiled.
Not all the races there were all about how fast your car was. Grudge races would begin between two of the oddest partners. This old man had a GS 750 with a turbo on it, and nitrous. He was known as duck shooter because when he shifted it let out a bang. Hundreds of grudges against people who were perfectly matched and the bet go left, the bet go right all night long. The gut is someplace where you learn Street respect, or suffer.

Everybody gets humbled sooner or later especially when you bring the street to a track that’s not well prepared but still better than any surface on the street you know those boys know exactly what their doing their going, fishing 🤣. Seen track race cars get drug and their wallet drained like this by street cars, it’s funny to watch.

YOOOOOOO 240 with the 2JZ... Start to spool up after the other lane lights the first bulb. When you're up on your 2 step, light both bulbs. Make your opponent light with or after you. 🤘
Well he should’ve gave him a tad bit more time after opponent lit 2nd bulb. Was kinda fucked they said alright after literally 2 seconds and red lit him. 2j’s take a while to spool up and I believe the other guy might’ve rushed to get onto the stage knowing this.
I understand these guys want to split but that's kinda messed up all the ppl came to see a bad AZZ Final 💯and if they split because of rain or a wreck or something that calls for it but just make it to the finals and you can split with the other guy BS WINNER Takes ALLS NO SPLITING

Sounds like there was some good reasons to split this time. But I don’t get how racers are so insistent in splitting in other cases. It’s an insult to racing and spectators imo. Did you build that car to tie with the loser or to win?

I got localled. 2.65 seconds timed out, rule is 7 seconds👎. My fault, nitrous bottle leaked out in the lanes and took 5ever to get on 2step. Won’t be buying one from NX😂

practice this Speed shift, at between 4 and 5 000 Rpm
Half Clutch it to release or activate Shift Magnetic lock gates on linkage release gas pedal 1 inch and punch to floor.

This will make the car pop a wheely in every gear lol
Cause its your torque Band
Shift 2 to 3 Gears this way as fast as you can Then rap the laters out to 6000
and get it into 5 gear for last hundred feet .
I have little Gforce Dyno and realy my 97 lt1 is around 350 horse 375 torque
But My Meter Reads the Bang of clutch Shift Higher G Force instead of HP lol
It Reads 690 lol and it doesent Bog At all going through next gear
so its like starting boost through the 350 Hp making it like 500 or so through gear
But you wont read that on Dyno Because they ease into 2000 rpm then gun it
But you will feel the violence of the extra G Force and see it in et and trap speed will be over 4th gear max speed .
I beat on the Fifth Gens Every time we Race lol by like 9 car lengths with 295 BFGs
Last Race beat a 2014 Stingray Corvette Realy Bad He couldnt Catch me if we raced Clear to Mexico lol

Letting people stand past the start line has got to be the stupidest decision from that track possible. Bad decisions like this is gonna cause more regulations and issues for people that just wanna have fun and enjoy drag racing safely for years to come. Just seems like this drag strip doesn’t have the sports best interests in mind.
Folks standing in the staging area is close to the cars. If something broke during the tire warming… Ouch. ||| Sounds like no *low-horsepower* machines here. 😳🔥

Obviously these people standing inches away have never seen a disaster of an engine, transmission, rear axle disintegrating in front of them. Why is this even allowed? I guess nothing will be done until a few people are killed or permanently disabled from such negligence.

Being going this track years back in the day guy run over like like five people they wanted down on the track like 3/4 the way down they all died,the crazy thing year later almost same spot the guy run over them people lost it hit the wall me and friends wattched the guy burn up and die wished i never was there that day

The people are nuts being on the track. How the heck can you get out of the way in time? It seemed like the speed at which the tree was started got faster and faster. If you don't ear protection you are out of your mind. LMBO Sure would be fun to watch. The only vehicles I don't really watch are diesels. One diesel makes a pass and nobody can even see the track. That was a BLAST to watch. The races just got better and better. TYSVM for the coverage!!!

Track is risking a huge amount of liability letting people stand on the track let alone at the starting line but past it. One car goes sideways out of the hole and people are getting hit for no reason.
