I was in the Air Force, so I got used to watching planes take off and land dozens of times a day. But this one time I saw a plane coming in so SLOW that I thought I was going to see a CRASH. 😱 It most certainly was below the STALL speed of every other aircraft I've ever seen. Mostly F-4's at my base.
And it took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to crash, just hanging there in the air. OMG the suspense was killing me. 😧
But then it got close enough that I could make out what kind of airplane it was.
Up until then I had only seen the Harrier in pictures. 😂

So awesome to see what all y’all have accomplished in the last 2 year’s! Congratulations on your builds on VTOL aircraft. So awesome to y’all paving the way for everyone that is interested in buying a vtol rc Jet in the future. I think it’s so awesome that you can hover and then transition into forward flight. It’s absolutely incredible. ❤️🎱🛫😎

@@renerosentraeger I’m actually watching every VTOL aircraft ever built from the Yak 36 to the Yak 146 and the flying Bedstead and the harrier and F-35. My uncle retired as a general flying the F-16 Viper and he also flew the A-10 warthog in Dessert Storm and was a test pilot in the A-7 Corsair and he learned in the T-27 Trojan and then on to the T-38 as an officer in the Airforce and he survived the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11/01. ❤️

Not taking off from the floor looks like ground effects, but undercarriage may just be enough to clear it? The original had this problem so they tested over a large pit to let the downwash clear way. Later, the belly fences helped stop re-ingestion of the hot exhaust.

Viel Erfolg weiterhin.
