Absolutely great looking Su47.
This is ART! Real congratulations from Brazil!
Thx mate 🙌🛫
Wow, you did so great work with a quite difficult aerodynamic shape!
SU 47❤
@@divann-analiz yep, looks quite similar. I wonder does this model have assimetry rear as the real one?
@@EvgeniiShchetinin Good question!
Grumman X-29 had steeper forward swept wings but just an experimental aircraft. Back then, 1980s, it supposedly needed a computer to fly. Modern systems could be so much more in tune.
@@pavanbiliyar The project was first developed as a promising model of a fighter with a reverse-swept wing for the USSR Air Force (modernization of the Su-27, S-37 theme) as part of an industry research program since 1983, but this topic was closed in 1988. After that, the USSR Navy acted as the customer of the project, which predetermined the further development of the project as a promising aircraft for aircraft-carrying cruisers. The project was renamed and called the Su-27KM (modified ship)[2][3]. Subsequently, after the collapse of the USSR and the crisis in the country in the 1990s, state funding was removed from the project and it continued only thanks to the own financing of the Sukhoi Design Bureau. As a result, after all the ups and downs, the aircraft was presented to the public at the MAKS-1999 exhibition under the name S-37 Berkut, and by MAKS-2001 it was renamed the Su-47 Berkut. In 1997, the first flying copy of the Su-47 was built, now it is experimental.
Very nice. Your test is very helpful. I added your channel as a friend channel to my channel. You are the only one with this detailed test scene. thanks. i will make a harrier
Cool, that you also start with the Harrier! I believe sharing our insights is more expedient for everyone than keep everything as a secret 🙌
Fantastic job, she looks beautiful, and flies so well.
Absolutely beautiful aircraft, incredible engineering! Well done Sir!

This is a copy of the Russian experimental Su-47 Berkut fighter invented back in 1983. Due to economic problems at the end of the 80s and the destruction of the USSR in 91, the construction of this fighter was greatly stretched in time, but in the mid-90s it was already flying. This is a one-of-a-kind fighter with a reverse-sweep wing. the advantages of such a glider are increased maneuverability, the disadvantage is complex control of all systems. At different angles of attack and flow rates, there are individual parameters of all airframe control units. The classic wing layout resists maneuvering, and if you release the steering wheel, it levels the flight, but this line-up, on the contrary, is ready to make where you pull the steering wheel and you need to resist this force on the contrary to align the aircraft. that is why such a glider is so maneuverable, but also difficult to control. to control this glider, you need a flight computer and a lot of data.

Beautiful landing!
Meticulous and brilliant, fantastic engineering! Great job! Thanks for sharing.
Oh yes that a nice jet with those slats and the solid LG , This one is my next one . Always so informative . Merci
Absolutely amazing work!
Thx man 🙌
such a fine work of art. so stable.
IM This man would make a great neighbor !! Showing the future waiting for us all!
Awesome Job, great
Amazing build. Really well thought out and executed. As a version 2.0 you should look T the design of the YF-19 from Macross Plus. The design for it was based off of that jet.
Yeah, nice idea mate!
Mother of god that's incredible. Amazing work!!
Thx mate 🙌
Wow. Amazing work. How you make such complex engineering look SO easy.
Fantastic job!
Fantastic model sir!
Thx!
This is great to watch.
The german accent is.. wonderful
Now this is the way to test a model jet! Long grass past the feild is good for stopping errant models, though it looks like the grass on the landin strip needs to be shorter.
Well done very impressive 👍👍👍👍👍
This looks like VF-19 or YF-19 from the Macross 2 and Macross 7, no? Love how they are realized in these UAVs!
Sometimes I am amazed at the stupidity of weeaboos. This is Su-47
Isn't it simply a Su-47 berkut?
@@ZratP 👍
It is SU 47❤
The YF-19 from Macross Plus came out in 1994, while the first flight of the Su-47 was in 1997, which prompted Shoji Kawamori (Macross mechanical designer) to joke that the Russians were copying his designs.
Aside from the obvious comments about the great engineering on that plane... That landing in the end was beautiful, kudos to the pilot.
Thx mate 🙌
Awesome jet....I want one 😅
Thanks for sharing 👍
Absolutely incredible build!
Se ve increíble!!! Un abrazo desde Argentina!
Thx man 🙌
Awesome job !!!
😁🙌
Excellent work 👏 I wonder if placing the edfs further back in the fuselage would aid in higher thrust... The long thrust tubers may be creating too much resistance on the edf exit air stream. Just a thought. 🤔
Yes maybe a bit but it would also mean to put heavy parts far away from the CG. That causes inertia issues, especially in acrobatics. It's a quit good compromise now🛫
SU-47❤
@@renerosentraeger Thanks for your consideration of the 💡 idea... Please keep up the great work 🙏🏽 It's so fascinating 👏
@@renerosentraeger - The airflow is running in to the same surface drag issues as seen in automotive exhausts and high capacity plumbing, where the air touching the surface slows down from friction, with less slowdown in the middle of the tube. As the speeds rise you progressively get to a point where the air flowing in the middle is moving at the same speed as it was leaving the impeller, but the rest is nearly stagnant. The duct at the front should prgressively narrow towards the fan, and then at the rear it should be getting bigger further and further away from the fan.
Very cool. Looks like the SU-47 Berkut.
I love your design and I enjoy your videos very much. I saw you put air flow streamers on the wings but have you considered mounting them near the intake to see how much turbulence you might be getting? I suggest using much smaller string or red thread so the size of the streamers do not inped the air flow. Good luck!
Paint it purple and silver, name it cyclonus and you’ll get quite a lot of views. Great work!
Brilliant engineering. Cheers!
Amazing work well done 🎉🤘🥸🤘
That's awesome! Well done!
Cool! Das ist für mich sehr interessant.
That is beautiful! Love it!
The lighter colored Model handled Pretty well for second prototype great work on making her and the Darker colored YF TX 19
Excellent work!
Its a work of art.
OUTSTANDING work!! LOVE it!
Gives a whole new meaning to a printer jet.
Thx mate 🙌
Beautiful, thanks for sharing
Wow.. this model fly impressivly well. Probobly better than the real one to be honest.
Thx man 🍻
@@renerosentraeger I was expecting the plane to over compensate much more, but it hardly do that at all. The wings must be incredibly stiff
Awesomeness ❤❤❤
Yesss😅👌
Saw your S1 Pro Review It Was Great Im Getting My Own This Week
Cool 😁👌
It look so perfect and soft landing. how you solve the rc is awsome.
Great...keep up the good work
😁🙌
Nice RC S-37 Berkut!
That's a darn good model Su-47. I wonder how hard it would be to shoot a top-gun style movie using large scale miniatures, full scale cockpit mock ups on a turn table, and blue/greenscreen techniques alone, no real aircraft.
Great idea mate. We will test this👍
Good looking! Keep up the great work!
😁🙌
MEHR THRUST 😂 deutsch englisch wunderbar. Super Projekt, starke Videos ❤
Seems like the thrust vectoring shortens the distance needed for takeoff.
I love this plane i like how you made it
insanely cool
Great work. Fantastic
Thx mate 🙌
I'd like to see a setup where the ESC is inside the fan ducting, downstream from the fan. I wonder if the heat from the ESC would expand the air and create a bit more pressure down the ducting. If things are being optimized this much surely every tiny advantage would be worth it. I suppose you could also make a cooling block for the ESC which spreads the heat over a large amount of air.
Nice job! Bravo! 👍
I love Forward swept wing🤩
Those ESC's are massive compared to some of the drone and standard plane. This has a ton of power in it.
I love it, it looks like an su 47
It's based on it.
Nice work, i think if you will try to work with 70mm of FMS you got a lot of power more
No it looks good I just don't think you have enough angle on the forward wings
Amazing work!!
im buying this right away
Very nice RC SU-47.
Beautiful work man!
If you are interested in aircraft with a reverse sweep of the wing, then there is also a model called CP10. This is a training aircraft.
Amazing Person.....
What if you add extra rudder to each fins downward to increase the rudder effect at high AoA?
What if you elevate the front slot and extended backward its surface to create a better downwash-backstream at the top of the mid-rear section of the wing?
Amazing work. The Mercedes F1 team could use your talents.
😁✌️
Please also create a movement model of the complete transformation (Gerwalk & Battroid) of YF-19 of MACROSS PLUS.
I subscribed! Amazing work!
Amazing work, shame we never saw the berkut fly in all its glory.
Plenty of videos out there showing it flying, airshows and testing, just not active service. It's currently a testbed for avionics and the like.
Just a note on the trust testing. Propeller/ducted fan performance is dominated by velocity in and out. Since a system like this with the reduction of the outlet size increases velocity out, it also causes more pressure to build up in front of the EDF. I would recommend adding an inlet flow and retrying the tests. You would probably get the different numbers and better performance bands for max speed vs "low speed" (or no speed in this case) with respect to thrust.
Still though a beautiful aircraft and extremely capable. Also, you are targeting low speed maneuverability anyways so the way you did your tests is probably fine.
Thx for sharing your thoughts man!
The Berkut is my favorite jet too.
once you finally finish the whole build. are you planning on putting it in mass production so that us people that is interested to have one these would be able to purchase?
You can already download it from rc-jetprint.com 🛫 and print it👌
Absolut krasses Projekt Respekt 👍
Danke 🙌
I think modern military aircraft use rhomboidal or rectangular intakes because they have been found to be more efficient. Look at the f18 hornet vs the newer super hornet.
Nice hint mate 👌
It is for lower radar cross section, not better performance.
On the other hand, you can try to have a bit of a gap between the aircraft body and the intake to increase intake air velocity by reducing the effect of the boundary layer.
@@HMSNeptun ok, I was forced to look up what I suggested. You are correct, however neither of us completely correct. The rhomboidal shape would be for RCS minimization. Not the rectangular shape such as on an F-15. However for supersonic speeds the rhomboidal/rectangular shape does aid in airflow over that of rounded shapes. So, I was in error to suggest this here, as I doubt this model is operating in this range. Thanks for forcing to to fact check myself.
Just needs afterburners 🔥🔥 and maybe paint it to finish it off .
👍
Great Job! Post another video once you give it a paint job. Maybe all black?
It's super awesome!
Hi Rene,
Wow - so happy my open-duct suggestion was evaluated so thoroughly :D
Though, as user Shannon Sivertsen mentioned below - most jets have EDFs way back, with a short outlet pipe. Looking at the new open-duct design, I think you could move the EDF even more back, way into the middle compartment. This way the outlet pipe would be shorter (less thrust loss??), lighter (not much, but still) and it would move the mass to the back, which should allow placing the battery back on the tray in the nose, where it originally was.
Anyways, I can't wait to get my hands on the upgrade! Great work!
Hi Adam, I think the actuell position is right an optimum. As more distance is between Batt and Motor, as longer cables are needed. This adds weight and electrical loss. For an airplane and especially an acrobatic one it is even worse when the weight distribution is far away from the CG.
@@renerosentraeger Good counter-points. There are so many aspects to balance :)
Ace Combat vibes
impressive
i would say all you need to do now is test with ram air (whatever airspeed would be) to see what your maximum thrust would be with the intake ram air effect. otherwise this is cool!
Is it SU-47 model or you own design?
So yes, it is a Su-47 but different air intakes and that thing on afterburner
Nice video. 👍👍
U do a great job 👏. Just one thing, use a power supply that's consistent 240v supply
Ok😅👌
So this is what the child of Su-47 and Su-25 looks like :D
From the limited testing I've done, the length of the exhaust duct seems to have the greatest effect on thrust losses; shorter exhaust duct is better. Looking at my commercial EDF planes they all tend to put the EDF far back in the plane, so I'm guessing they've gone through this exercise and that's why they are so far back.
I've almost completed my SU-XR. I'll see how easy it is to remove the inlet ducting from a completed airframe. One question: are the plans available for the landing gear? I have 3mm shafts installed now, but would prefer a little suspension, especially on maiden flights.
@@Stsivert i dont they they are available yet
Soon, I'll make an extra release video to it🛫
I bet that is because the air from the fan is very turbulent, but the air entering is relatively smooth. So the exhaust has more drag than the inlet because they are different flow types. Perhaps a honeycomb flow filter after the fan could reduce that effect.
@@andrewyoung4473 or staters, jet boats and real axial flow turbines have them after each stage to straighten the flow
From the EDF thrust testing I think it indicates that the inlet is not big enough for the air flow to reach its optimal performance. Maybe add a secondary intake on top of the LERX like Mig29 would do?
Belkan magic.
That is a nice Nerf Plane you got there.
place the escs into the air flow / duct itself with a heat sink
Yes, that was done in the updated version.
I have a 3d and laser engrave cutting business but im also a jetfighter freak, after watching this i feel the urge to not just build one but collaborate aswell with you guys 🖐
Sounds great mate 👌
Awesome project! Did you think about using LW foaming PLA?
It's mostly printed from LW-PLA.
Really nice Rene. May I ask you for a belly lander (no landing gear) what wall thickness and infill would you recommend for the fuselage so it can withstand a reasonable landing? Any tips here would be great. Do you do any special reinforcement in this situation?
Yes, I was adding skids to all my Jets for this case. They have about 3 to 5 layer.
