In this Longplay/Walkthrough video, i'm playing and showing a thorough and detailed guide about how to complete the Sega Genesis version of Streets of Rage 2 [USA] by playing as Eddie "Skate" Hunter from the beginning to the very end on the Hardest difficulty setting.

When I was very little, I only understood “Power” so I kept playing as Max and underestimated Skate. Later when I got older and understood the values in other stats, I gave Skate a try.
Though I still wasn’t great with him, my opinion on him changed drastically. He had a lot of really fun looking moves, loved his jumps, and just found him intriguing and eccentric!
As such, I *wanted* to be good with Skate but I could never get far enough with him with my own skills. So seeing a perfect run of his campaign here is satisfying!
I’ll be watching how you play as Blaze next followed by Axel.
You weren't wrong to pick Max, though -- he's the best character in the game.
i main skate the reverse backflip move is one of most powerful attacks in game!!
Power rules though - playing as anyone other than Max was just an extra level of difficulty you could use to challenge yourself. Skate's speed becomes less useful late in the game when many of the fights are in smaller spaces.
Used to wait all week until Friday night to rent this from Blockbuster video as a kid... Best feeling in the world to get there just in time to get the last copy they had, invite my cousins over and pull an all nighter.

Even the music is 90s. They try to make remakes nowdays but it never come close to the original it a classic.
Skate cannonball head move is ruthless - right up there with Axel’s Bare knuckle
Skate was my go-to character back in the day when I had this game on Genesis

Childhood memories
I've always said that the first level of any game is the most important because it leaves the most lasting impression. SoR 2's first level is Top-5 all-time for me. The color, the lighting, the atmosphere, the grittiness, the "oomph" of the hits (especially the pipe)... and of course how hard Koshiro's house music just BALLS OUT. SoR 2 is a masterpiece.
Man I was obsessed with this game at 13! And I always made good use of them knives and swords. That’s how I used to beat this game so fast.
I used to lose lives in the first stage on easy as a kid... You made it through the whole game on the hardest level without literally taking any damage... I tip my hat to you sir

My respects for this perfect longplay, I barely could beat this game in normal difficulty on PS3, never got into SOR back in the day so this is almost new for me.

Looks like this this dude has completed a 0 damage challenge in this play through . I watched some parts, maybe 10 minutes in total but I haven’t seen any damage taken, even in the last boss fight, his skill is truly impressive 💪

does anyone know how he throws the enemies using an Xbox 360 controller or sega controller ? Been trying for ages to get good at skate but I can’t learn how to throw them? Any help😩😂

To perform a throwing attack when playing as Skate Hunter on the Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive Controller, grab the enemy (from front or behind) and press the C button (Jump button) and then the B button (Attack button) to throw the enemy.
Never beat it with my uncle and he got me hip a long time ago

By the way, the Stationary Special Attack and the Directed Special Attack decreases the player's life gauge in the Sega Genesis version of Streets of Rage 2 as well.

If you get thrown (at 27:42 mark for example) press and hold "Up + Jump" buttons in air to safely land on your feet and take no damage.
Is Abadede also the 3 level boss in streets of rage 1m

Yes, in Streets of Rage 1, Abadede first appears as the final opponent on the beach portion of Level 3. Later, he is a sub-boss in levels 5 and 8. In each of these cases, two will appear in a 2-Player game.
In Streets of Rage 2, Abadede returns as the boss of level 4 in an underground fighting arena beneath a baseball stadium. His palette swap Z Kusano / Barbarian / El Gigante appears in the elevator portion of level 8.

I absolutely didn't use any cheats, save states or tools while making this Longplay / Walkthrough video.
It sure took a lot of time to practice and study the whole game before making this Walkthrough / Longplay video. I also had to be very patient. Countless runs were ruined while making a No Damage run Longplay.
