I think he’s the best-designed “tank” type. Max in SoR2 was probably better but he also had some surprising mobility with slide and shoulder tackle, which is why I really appreciate how they designed Floyd. He plays more like a slow bruiser but his tools are so good and so much fun!

I've watched all of your Streets of Rage videos. You truly have this game mastered. Watching you play reminds me of when I was a kid and used to watch Kung Fu movies with my brother. We would try to mimic all of the moves because the actors and stunt men made it look so easy only to realize that it's a sweet science behind all of that stuff and those ppl train hours on in. Keep it up. I've tried to play mania by myself with Axel and Adam (my two favorite characters) and I just completed stage 6. Lol!!!

Adam is my guy, I agree he's one of the best characters in the game; and whenever I play online co-op, 9 times out of 10 the other person chooses Floyd. The character isn't really my style, but the guy is a BEAST and works well with others, something I can't say as readily for other characters.
My favorite character is Cherry, her moveset is one of the best for combo strings plus shes quick............unlike any of the other characters in the game

That said I've returned to Cherry, she's an amazing character once you start tinkering with her. Amazing video! I definitely have learned quite a lot from this one. The slamming of the two mooks at the same time is the most creative move in all SOR history. There are things in this game that i can't praise enough - like the artwork and music. But then there are things which are just mediocre - like the animation quality and animation recycling (Blaze's head and Adam's Howl Fang to name a few). Followed by certain stuff that is just out of the blue (level design choices, ignoring previous games' strong points) And then there are things that are an epitome of slacking - like the old characters presented "as is", the so called "retro filter" (Photoshop or Sony Vegas pixelate effect does not equal pixel-art), character portraits in the extras - being just scans of the old box art - without even trying to hide (or enhance) this fact...and the overly hasty ending to boot. It always feels like three completely different teams worked on this (which was indeed the case). The first one was like: "let's max everything out"! The second one: "we did surpass the 1991 standards, right?" And the third: "just copy-paste the damned stuff and be done with it!"... Streets of Rage 4 is a great game in it's own right...but it is a lack of a high quality competition, which allows it to hang so close to the throne. But as for the royal seat itself: oldschool still holds its ground too firmly to surrender.
SOR4 Blaze and Max are my favorites but i am probably biased from SOR2 being my favorite game from my childhood ha. Your comments on how good Floyd is helped me decide to use him next on my Arcade mania runs. After i finish Adam oc.
Axel is the weakest. He's slow as fuck and his specials always end up with him in a pose that staggers for milliseconds. Tho it's the character I enjoy using the most it is definitely the one I struggle more

@@masterlee1988 hope so. he's like a walking dead walking and his dragon smash is pretty much useless on higher difficulties. they need to remove the stagger that happens and add a shield when he's performing the dragon smash since we can't move him. it's ridiculous when your chaining on multiple enemies and a galsia or whatever come from up or bellow and cancel the dragon smash with a slap

Yeah you want to try to lure certain enemies to handle some mobs better, use defensive/offensive specials at the right timing usually when there are health items around, know the enemy placement so you can get ahead start and advantage on them. It's crazy that I went through Arcade mode multiple times recently.=O

From level 3-4, shipwreck, from level 7-8, train wreck, from level 11-12, plane crash. Three thirds of transition every four levels.

They can be a real problem if they get away from you, especially in stage 10.
Don Vecta Ugh they can escalate so fast. They hit so hard and the weapon summon forces you to shift gears and sometimes that’s just not feasible.

That's arcade mode. Finishing the story mode on any difficulty unlocks it. Extra lives are also changed from every 8.000 to every 30.000.
