That was FANFKINGTASTIC!! I hope George Lynch has seen this because your guitar sounds just like his! Well done sir! And hell yeah, that video kicks ass!! Tearing up the streets of L.A.!! There is no decade like the 80's!!
A very hard-earned standing ovation to you, no doubt. Lynch is so totally worthy of a serious following from passionate guitarists. He pours his mind, heart & soul out on the fretboard and he teaches us that, as musicians, we need to somehow find our own unique selves in that awesome instrument. So yeah, he's very hard to duplicate. But you have paid him due honor. THANK YOU. 🤟😎🤟🎸🙏
And oh, thank you too, brother. He was always one of my favorite 'younger' guys in the 80's. [ Have since found out he is older than Ed (God bless his soul)]. He always had the sound and notes that could pull the feeling up from your gut; you the listener. I saw a video of them live from the 80's and his set had dummy 4x12 cabs in the back but old Marshall heads on the side. And he was still using a synchronized tremolo.
Oh man, I'm sorry you are going through that. I know that Chrchristian Muenzner from Necrophagist has a problem with his hand too. I have had some muscle and tendon problems but not debilitating. But when I take tome off I like to think about guitar and even imagine I am playing when I listen. Thank you for the wisdom. Hopefully I can become a happier person. Cool channel you have by the way.
Awesome song! 80s just rule - I'd prefer that forever over modern metal meltdown. So creative, vivid and ... basically good. Your tone makes me go wild! Could you please give me some infos on your gear on that song?
It's an Ibanez S470DXQM with a DiMarzio Tone Zone pickup in the bridge. Was going into a DV Mark Multiamp using a JCM 800 style patch. I don't know if the delay was from the Multiamp or a Lexicon MX200. I don't remember if I recorded DI or through a cab or both.
Why didn't you show the camera view for the outro solo stuff? Anyway, AWESOME cover! Lots of time and effort and you have some talent. It's hard (for many, including me) to sound so close to George. I realize this is an old video, but still... thanks!
It was the outro stuff so I didn't think any body would really care. It was a lot more to learn and would have made the video longer. I thought anyone doing this live would do there own stuff. I would add it but it's a whole lot more. would like to learn it though. Thanks for asking.
Great Job!!! I've been a lynch fan for 30yrs and your as close as they get. I to play this song a lot trying to find the exact between the dots sound George is notorious for. As you know his style and sound are not easy to duplicate . Could you show finger position on the chords from 33 seconds to the 45 second mark. I would sure appreciate it.
Yeah! I just saw an interview with Lynch on that guy from Birminghams channel. Dude is almost 70. He is going on tour this year. I haven't seen him live but would love to catch a show maybe.
Phone transcript bit: Brrr brrr Don: Whadda ya want? Groupie: I want you! Don: You can't have me. Well maybe just tonight. Groupie: Double time with George? (is that right or is it "double time with Jeff?" or is it "double time" prostitute style?) Don: No no I can't no Groupie: I've gotta have it Don: No way! I told ya! It's not love!
Sounds like she says Just tonight I want too, or you. Then she says trust me. Then he says NO no I can't. It's a lot freakier sound when you listen to it than just let it pass by.
+Marko Salmela Thanks man. I see a lot of 'close' to to the real thing videos, but sometimes I just think something has to be made right. It may be on the edge of my ability, and take a long time to figure out if there are no tabs. It just has to be done. I might not sound the best, but I try to get as many notes right as I can.
+Pierce wilkins It is an Ibanez S470dx with a DiMarzio Tone Zone bridge pickup into a DV Mark multi amp. Not sure of the amp setting but probably the jcm 800 model and the distortion plus distortion patch. I think the speaker sim was green backs.
Nah. It's an Ibanez S470FM. The S stands for saber series because it has beveled edges like a sword. The FM stands for flamed maple. Not a bad guitar. It has a zero return trem that doesn't go out of tune when you use it. Always returns to exact spot and you can adjust the intonation without tuning the string down. Not as fun as a floating bridge but it's nice for what it does.
@@nathanielweber7843 I had a Dinky reverse sparkle blue and a flame maple SL3. I had something called a Charvett too. Jackson had a guitar called the Stealth that had a body like that.
cannot get any better, well done!
That is very kind of you. I think I kind of sound nervous like Eugene from Crossroads when he battles Jack Butler during the intro on here. Thank you!
that turnaround is so good "daba dew do do dew" ! Im here for this !

George lynch,Fuck Yeeeaa! Been on your channel most of the day, nostalgia bug bit me in the ass all day today. Always a pleasure to watch man!
drummer stopping by to check out your cover......impressive.
Thanks man. I can play drums some but I have a nervous rhythm in my guitar playing.
Awesome man. Great job. I got an incurable hand disease that prevents me from ever playing my guitar ever again after 35+ years:(. Enjoy what you got.

Always looks easy..but you have to control the beast...
Good job dude!
Thanks man. It was cool to learn.
Absoltuley fuckin outstanding man!! Sounded like you’re George Lynch’s twin. Thanks for the video and keep rockin with dokken!
Brandon Luke My man!
Wish it had none of the original lead vocals, so it could be used as a backing track for karaoke.
if it was on rock band it would have that. Iknow there are some backing tracks out there.
Great job thank you for taking the time to share this.
Thank you man, I'm glad you dig it.
Nice. Good job
Thank you.
Basically good, and a hell of a lot better than I could do
Not only am I Old School, I am old too. I have been playing for 37 years now.
Outstanding! Thanks very much....have known the intro and basic shapes long time, but these details help a whole lot! Cheers and keep rockin' \m/

I'm almost skeptical, you played all the parts perfect.

Awesome
+GLO K Yeah man I had to do it. It seems lots of people don't do duell guitar parts to much on youtube. It's hard to find niches these days. Thanks.
nice man! \m/
thanks much! \m/
OH YES!!!!!!
Dang
Yes. It's a little trickier to play than one would think. You can play the notes but it's really hard to sound like them.
Great job! Just subscribed to your channel. Do you mind checking out some of our original music?
Fckn A!!
Thank you so much! I wish I had George's touch though.
Why can nobody play this right/in time
You nail this but make it raunchy like it should be. You make it look so lame when it's not
Yeah, I was to worried about messing up to much to get into it. I think something like that every time I watch it.
What bridge pickup do you use?
It is a DiMarzio Tone Zone. DP155BK.
Totalmente fuera de click
What rig are you using

Nah. It's an Ibanez S470FM. The S stands for saber series because it has beveled edges like a sword. The FM stands for flamed maple. Not a bad guitar. @@relzric not bad. I have a 2 Jackson’s, and the body of your Ibanez reminded me of my soloist pro, but in sunburst rather than Caribbean blue.

totally impossible to play on one guitar.
Yeah. I had to overdub.
Sounds nothing like it
