This is by no means a knock on George. He's one of my favorite guitarists, but if *any* 80s guitarist exemplifies the sort of musician you're talking about it's Paul Gilbert.
I'm 53 now and Mr Scary is up there with the mighty EVH and Michael Schenker ! I coudn't care less about most guitar shredders from the 80' who came after...Hi from France 😮😮😮
Mr.Scary still at the top of his game. What a brilliant player and truly one of the all time greats and happy George is still entertaining all of us. The beast of all guitar players. 👍🤘
I recall that model ESP hanging on the wall in the local store back in 1988, it was probably the shiniest thing I had ever seen. I was in awe and still am a fair bit! Some great playing in this vid, probably better than ever, crikey!
This video was not long enough! George continually inspires me to keep playing, my way! Untamed, unorthodox, colourful, sparkling, eerie, melodic...all of which, after 40 years playing, I still aspire to be!
It's hard to believe that George is 69! But, I've been listening to him since my early teens, and I'm 56, so I guess it does make sense. Even at that age he's still got it!
All the music I've ever heard that George has done I've liked. So, big time fan here. Only player I know of that uses sliding up and down the frets for vibrato. How good it works and sounds when he does it too. Such a class act master of his instrument. And to add to the awesomeness that is Mr. Lynch, he plays guitars made by his own hands. A true craftsman through and through. He and SRV share my number 1 favorite spot of all time. Each so different but equally so talented.
Can't stop listening to this album. It is an inspiration and one of my favorites of '23! Keep on keepin on Mr. Scary! Between this, KXM, and The Mob, love the new stuff!
when I was a speck on the horizon this is the guy that changed my direction and with no background or teaching whatsoever I picked up and plugged in, I've been a George Lynch admirer since 1986. I owe a sincere debt of gratitude because he opened up mind and my feelings. That's all I've ever used when practicing guitar, thank you George. Keith S, Citrus Heights 916
Lynch is not only a guitar icon he’s a player’s player too. Nobody else sounds like him. He has feel all day long and seeing GL playing a Junior is just priceless. Pretty amazing to watch a player like that.
Have always considered George as a top guitarist, both in his tone, technique and his ability to play many styles. I will always listen to and maybe buy what he is offering. Got to see him live with Dokken once and have held him in highest esteem since
"I don't count I just feel" that's why I love your playing so much George. I'm self taught and I have been feeling from day one. And your music had a lot to do with the inspiration of feeling what you play. But it never made me friends with those who insist that I put counting over feeling. I've always thought if your not feeling what you play no one else will either. It's the same with shredding. Or flash as I call it. I listened to some of the best in the world but surprisingly their are very few as good as they are who can walk the thin line between flash and feeling. It's usually one or the other. You are one of the few to find that equilibrium between both. Best wishes.
This is amazing!! To see George in the studio behind the scenes. Sharing his art and the creative process. Thanks for sharing George. The album Rocks!!
Yeah and he did not get credit for many things that he came up with first. Did you know the "Flying high again" taping part is his riff? Randy heard George play it and really liked it so George showed it to him. George also played a homemade strat with one p'u with Charvel parts. Sound familiar? 😁
My favorite guitar player since the 80s, love George! My 12-year-old is learning guitar and the first song I taught him was Alone Again. What a talent.
The master....he simply can do no wrong. He is ROCK guitar. Just as EVH brought a new thing in...George took it and shot it to the moon. Kills it with speed , style , melodic ripping ..... has it ALL.
Lynch is one of the big dogs. Great video 👍💪💯🎸🎸. Awesome studio I'm 61 now. Remember Dokken well. 👍💯. We are all getting older mofos 😂😂✌️✌️ ( i live not too far from Turlock ca. Neat little town)
This was awesome!!! a little mix of everything , Blues, Bar Blues Rock, Shred Guitar, and old school Metal, watching Lynch play always gets me fired up to pick up a guitar!!! This was well recorded!
It sounds spectacular. All the shown solo and rhythm bits sound like George's magic we grew upon. Hope this album is mixed and mastered in the hardest rock sense. It sounds like a great album. Keep rocking Mr. Scary and make old dudes like me still headbang and smile with your talent.
Thank you so much for this video. Mr Lynch is an absolute monstrous player and being able to watch his technique is truly inspiring. Watching him is like watching the late great Jeff Beck, you just wonder how these sounds are all coming from the guitar. All the inside baseball of recording is awesome. I didn’t realize just how much into gear Mr Lynch is, makes sense though for how amazing his tone has been over the years. Thank you again!
I find it exceptional to see the Backstage of the Great 🎸George Lynch🔥 with his Legendary instruments in such a Legendary Studio, the Quality of the final product can only be Legendary 👏👏🎸👑
At 6:30 George walks by fourteen reel to reel machines and at this point I'm about to lose my mind. I'm a tapehead through and through. Tape is the king of all audio media. Period.
What a great video! Thanks for taking the time to produce it. It’s really interesting seeing all of the guitars and amps he used on this album, which is fantastic I might add. Cheers!
Seeing my favorite guitar player play my other favorite guitar player's guitar (Jake) was the icing on the cake for me. Wow. Just wonderful...It was hard to get that point out right:) So glad to see this George!
I Absolutely love this, such an awesome look at the behind the scenes of this CD! It's great to go back and listen to this CD now (which I have and you signed ) and see you playing what went onto this album. Tone Bender by the way is my favorite, just greasy and filthy playing George! Thank you for making this Mr. Lynch! 🙂
I love EVERYTHING George plays but I seldom like the singers that go along with it so this is a George Lynch fan's perfect assembly. I'm all over this!
I find myself seeing this again it must have been this time of year last year i turn 64 on the 23 January next week 🎉 glad i get to see this again 🫡🇺🇸🎸🥁😃🍻
One of my favourite guitarists of all time, for me the number 1 from the 80's. Absolutely insane how he nails a solo and makes it sound soulful but at the same time very technical (the right notes in the right places) His rhythm playing isn't bad either :-) He's a legend, genius whatever you want to call him.
I am 57. I bought my first Dokken album in 1984. 39 years of pure enjoyment.
Thank you George.
The only guy from the eighties that can, will, knows, likes, and plays absolutely everything.....period
This is by no means a knock on George. He's one of my favorite guitarists, but if *any* 80s guitarist exemplifies the sort of musician you're talking about it's Paul Gilbert.
I agree....he's another...one of the most hardworking out there 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@mifune9634Gilbert is awesome but George is a better song writer.
No offense to you or George....but I think Jake would smoke him on this stuff.
@@drunk247J.E. Lee????
This is Pure Gold! I could watch George all day
These cats are friggin tried in the fire! Huge talent, and to endure in this surreal industry, speaks volumes. Soldier on rawk Dawgs!
I'd love to have that skulls and snakes guitar or the kamakazi, but I don't have that kinda money lol.
Living legend. Few players will ever reach his status. Rock on
I'm 53 now and Mr Scary is up there with the mighty EVH and Michael Schenker ! I coudn't care less about most guitar shredders from the 80' who came after...Hi from France 😮😮😮
Im almost 52 and have loved george's playing since i was in my teens..so thankful he is still giving us new music 🤘
You gotta love Georges one of a kind vibrato. 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Fun Fact;
I got Ken Fischer to build George his first Trainwreck Express amp "Suzanne" back in 1991 👍
Mr.Scary still at the top of his game. What a brilliant player and truly one of the all time greats and happy George is still entertaining all of us. The beast of all guitar players. 👍🤘
We are so lucky to have Lynch here with us in this stage of his career...Continuing to inspire us with masterful guitar playing.
Absolutely
I recall that model ESP hanging on the wall in the local store back in 1988, it was probably the shiniest thing I had ever seen. I was in awe and still am a fair bit! Some great playing in this vid, probably better than ever, crikey!
Lynch is one of my guitar heros. Just astounding.
Georgey still on fire !!!
Blisters and melting
When GL plays, I don’t skip. His improvisation always sounds fresh to me, phrasing and note combinations that tickles my ear
Gives you an idea of how much thought, work and dedication goes into real Art. I salute you, George!
Tremendous. Just tremendous. Living guitar God. Long live Mr Scary 🤘🏻🇺🇸🎸🔥
This video was not long enough! George continually inspires me to keep playing, my way! Untamed, unorthodox, colourful, sparkling, eerie, melodic...all of which, after 40 years playing, I still aspire to be!
Amen brother.

Makes absolutely no difference which guitar, amp, or effects are used, they ALL scream GEORGE!! 🤘 Mr technique. Best vibrato in the business
Him, Michael Schenker, Marty Friedman ....
Blues Saraceno 😉

He has feel all day long and seeing GL playing a Junior is just priceless.
Pretty amazing to watch a player like that.
To me he seems the most 'natural' on the Junior.
This is a gift to all musicians!!! Thanks so much to letting us all see this!!!! Bravo!!!
This is really cool seeing King George in the studio working on some tracks for his new CD. I've been a huge Lynch fan since the mid 80s. 🤘🎸🇺🇲
Have always considered George as a top guitarist, both in his tone, technique and his ability to play many styles. I will always listen to and maybe buy what he is offering. Got to see him live with Dokken once and have held him in highest esteem since

George ,always putting in the work!!!! That's why he's still around ruling it!!!!!! The man that got me into playing. A legend!!!!!!!!!!!
The master at work. This is pure gold.
George is still a beast. He's always been known as one of the greats from the 80s but to me he's also one of the best rhythm players ever.
Proof that it doesn't really matter what guitar he plays. It still sounds like George...
George will always be my favorite musician, this video was awesome. He keeps cranking out projects!
This is amazing!! To see George in the studio behind the scenes. Sharing his art and the creative process. Thanks for sharing George. The album Rocks!!

Suave dude. Had the pleasure of meeting him briefly about 20 years ago, such a down to earth bloke.
What an amazing dude. 👊🏾🤙🏾 A true legend, one of my top 10 of all time since the 80's!
George a down to earth guy, and brilliant guitar player

one of my all time favorite guitarist, been listening to him in Dokken and lynch mob, hanging out at the whiskey in the early 80's ❤
This was an amazing experience seeing this! thanks guys what a treat
One of the few guitarists I can almost instantly recognize when I hear it.
I met him at a clinic at Sam Ash in Miami. He was incredibly down to earth. Absolutely brilliant musician.
Great New Album!!! Guitar Legend George Lynch with his most epic release yet!!!
The master....he simply can do no wrong. He is ROCK guitar. Just as EVH brought a new thing in...George took it and shot it to the moon. Kills it with speed , style , melodic ripping ..... has it ALL.
FACTS! KING GEORGE 👑 ALWAYS HAS BEEN, AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST ON THE STRINGS!!
The note choices, the harmonics, the rare melodies.. George has tone his signature sound and feel. He is a force of nature. One of my all times hero.
Well said! Love EVH but always thought George had much much more flavor and better phrasing than Ed.
I was lucky enough to briefly meet George one time. Very humble and very nice person.
Love him playing jakes blue burst.
One of the last living legends...
Outstanding felt like I was there with George
LYNCH IS A BIG INFLUENCE ON OUR MUSIC AND OUR BAND
Very cool to see George cooking up his ideas and laying lots of colors to his tracks
Fantastic 100000% guitar candy yumminess! George is a legend! Listening to the new record on a Friday night now, sippin' some fine bourbon!
My ear perked up when you played the Tiger guitar. That tone! Just timeless and will always be one with George Lynch. Great vid.

I was bummed at the time [when the finish was cracking], but now [that relic'd guitars are the in thing] it's absolutely beautiful.
This was the best 25 minutes I’ve spent in quite a long time. Would love to see more stuff like this!🙏🏻🎧🎸
No Doubt..me too !
